Ps3 Not Detecting Ethernet Cable Help

My PS3 dose not detect my ethernet cable! please help!?

i use a wired connection from my router to my PS3 for internet and since i bought and set up my new router which is a BELKIN PLAY N600 DB, it hasn't worked, when i try to set up a wired connection on the PS3, it says on the screen ''please connect ethernet cable'' but its connected?! I know the wire is okay because i have tried 2 different wires and i have tried my laptop on the wire and the laptop works so i know the router is giving out internet and i know its not the wire, but the PS3 just dose not recognise it!! i have also checked the ethernet socket in the back of the PS3 and the all the metal contacts are fine, i think it is some sort of security setting on the router but i don't know what to do,

PLEASE HELP ME!!

PS3 cant connect to internet?

Im trying to connect my PS3 to the internet.
Im running a Ethernet cable from a Modem (Gnet) directly to my PS3.
I go through the Network settings, and go through easy.
It keeps asking for my PPPoE username and password which my internet company (Netscape) says is just my password and sign in to their internet. I enter the information, but it says its not correct.
SOMETIMES I get a message saying it couldnt obtain an IP Address. Im DSL aswell.
I can connect to Xbox Live no problem, but not PSN.

I accidentally disabled my Ethernet connection, how do I enable it?

If you on windows you can open control panel and then open network connections or network sharing. Then click on change adapter settings. Right click on disabled interface and choose enable.

Can I connect my ps3 to the internet with my phone?

If you are using a smartphone with Wi-Fi feature, then go to the settings and search for WiFi Hotspot or any similar name and turn it on. If needed you can even keep WPA/PSK security, it doesn’t matter. Then go to your PS3 connection options and scan for WiFi. It should pop up the name of your hotspot. Connect and give password. Done.BTW why do you want your PS3 to connect to your phone?! The bills will rip the roof! The PS3 has capacity to take 1 GB in just 30 mins through just gaming! Think twice before pulling this stunt.

How do I know if my router and modem is compatible with Cat5, Cat6, or Cat7 Ethernet cables?

CAT7 is a DEAD standard! Similiar to what happened to Xbox and the HDDVD standard. All vendors adopted BluRay instead. There are no manufacturers that adopted cat7. It is a dead standard that never got picked up by the industry. They chose CAT6a.Initially CAT7 was supposed to be used for 100 Gigabit Ethernet over copper supporting a max network segment of 100 Meters before having to be repeated by a switch or other network device.CAT6 supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper supporting 55 Meter segments.CAT6a supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper supporting 100 meter segments. It must be grounded in order to achieve the 100 Meter distances. The industry supports CAT6a and not CAT7Your router and modem use CAT5/6 Ethernet cables terminated with RJ45 connectors. I guarantee it!

Ps3 Wireless help? 80010201 error code?

I'm at school (college) and the internet is already poor....but it's wireless. So when I go to connect my ps3 to the wireless internet, it says access point is not detected. However, I am getting the wireless internet on my laptop and its working perfectly. The green light in front of my ps3 is not even flashing green like its supposed. I don't know if its a fault in my wireless thing in my PS3 or the school's internet itself. I even tried to use wired connection by hooking my ethernet cable into the ethernet port on the dorm room wall into my PS3. At one point, the backgreen light of the PS3 will light up for like 3-5 seconds then it won't light up anymore. When i first connected to PSN yesterday for the first time at school, i was able to login but it log me out 2 minutes later. I haven't dropped the PS3 or anything and it has been working fine ever since I got it. the people on my hall said they had the same problem with theirs not being to stay connected online. But, I'm not sure if its my PS3 wireless thing not working or if its the school's internet. Any suggestions? I have cut if on and off many times, restored to default settings, reinstalled firmware, etc.
