Question About Imessage And Text On Ios 7

I received a question mark in a box in my text message. What does that mean?

Question answered: I received a question mark in a box in my text message. What does that mean?Thank you for your answer request. When you see a question mark in a box in your text messages, it may mean that someone used an emoji that your phone wasn’t capable to displaying. It’s also possible that your phone is running a different operating system than the phone owned by the person who sent you a text message. This happens to me all the time. When someone with an iPhone sends me - as the owner of an Android phone - a text message with a string of emojis — ice cream cones, bunny rabbits, hearts in various colors, cheerleaders, thumbs up, cutesy little cartoon characters, or any number of other emojis, sometimes one or two of them aren’t recognized by my phone.Usually, what I see instead of a question mark is a rectangle with a big cross inside of it.On the other hand, working with the information you provided in your question, sometimes when people don’t understand the text you’ve sent, they may just write back with a simple and effective message:???This can mean that they don’t know what you’re talking about.

How do you stop a text message from sending on an iPhone after it got sent?

By default this function is restricted in all newer phones but I have knowledge that upcoming iPhone jailbreaks will bring a new function just like in Gmail, when it came up with "adorable" new feature as 'undo sending'.Jailbreak which I'm talking about will bring a feature which is going to work pretty much the same as in Gmail when you are asked to specify 'undo' deadline (usually in seconds) so that message is being sent a little bit later - let's say 10 seconds after you press 'send' button. So you're having 10 seconds to reconsider message's content and undo sending if such action is needed.Well if you are against jail breaking you can possibly try airplane mode switching right after you press send button. If you're sending an average message than you can perform this action just because it takes more time for messages to be sent.On iMessage it can be complicated - you already know - they are being sent instantly. How to Cancel Sending a Message or SMS from iPhoneGood luck with that!P.S. I cannot stand new answering rules for A2A's!For what purpose I have explain each word from million point of views just to get answer accepted by Quora in questions which can be answered within two - three sentences max...

IMessage sending as text message?

I have IOS7.1 (this problem occurred today, before I updated as well). I'm trying to use iMessage and it will just send as a text message. I have tried turning SMS off. iMessage is on. The people I'm trying to talk to all have iPhones. How do I get it to work? Even their name is green instead of blue, when their number is under iPhone.

Using my iPhone with iOS, are deleted text messages archived anywhere? Can they be recalled?

Text messages(both iMessage and SMS) are stored in iCloud regularly with a backup. The only problem is, there isn’t a little switch in iCloud Settings that dictate whether or not that do so. All you have to do is know when those messages vanished and restore from an iCloud backup that occurred before they were. An iTunes backup should also bring them back as long as the device was connected at the moment they existed.

What do the blue and green text messaging bubbles on iPhone?

No. Green is you sending a text, grey is the other persons reply.

Blue means the other person is texting you from an iPhone, and is using iMessage (as introduced in iOS5.

How can I save my iPhone text messages and  iMessages without using a computer or iCloud?

Anybody who would come to that conclusion, that is, that those who experience disaster are being punished, are betraying an ignorance about what the Bible teaches about the character of God.We humans tend to view longevity or material possessions or good health as blessings and therefore poverty or illness or a shortened life as tragic. But what if what really matters in this life is the lessons we learn through our suffering? This life is mercifully short and packed with experiences that will translate into the next life..or not, depending on what we do with them.the Bible says that God is not willing that any should perish but that all would come to repentance. The most wicked King of the kingdom of Judah was Manasseh. He reigned for 55 years, more than any other king and yet he shed innocent blood during most of his reign. His grandson, Josiah, only reigned 31 years, though he was one of the top 5 Kings of Judah, in righteousness comparable to King David. What was Josiah's sin that he be so punished? Only God knows the answer to this question, but I do find it interesting that Manasseh had a change of heart at the end of his life and enacted a series of reforms before he died.Had he been properly judged for all of his misdeeds, that moment of repentance would not have happened and he would have died in his sins. Why was John the Baptist beheaded, as well as James, but Peter was spared? I'm sure God had his purposes. The disciples once asked Jesus, who sinned, this blind man or his parents? Jesus told them, neither the blind man or his parents sinned but he was left that way for that very moment so that when Jesus healed him it would bring glory to God.Luke 13 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Why are my iMessages automatically being marked as read (iOS and Mac)?

When message is opened it is considered as read. this is normal practice with all app including iMessages or ios messaging app. Now if someone log in with your apple id even that person can see your messages. So it can consider as read. Use Log out from everywhere option with apple id then this problem will not occur. You may have logged in somewhere with your apple id. here is how to Merge combine sms database of two iphone ipad.

Does iOS 5 use iMessage and Text Messaging interchangeably on sender's iPhone (with iOS 5) depending on internet connectivity on recipient's iPhone (with iOS 5)?

No, it doesn't work like that. If person B is not connected to the Internet, the message will simply be queued along with any other push notifications, and person B will get it next time they get online. iMessage only reverts to regular SMS if person A (the sender) is not connected to the Internet or the iMessage servers are otherwise unavailable.

Can I retrieve deleted iMessages with an iPhone that hasn't been backed up?

The answer is yes! I also accidentally deleted the old iMessages from my wife, which were quite important for me.In fact, the old or deleted iMessages still store in SQLite database on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, even you don’t have backup. Thankfully, I just googled and found the methods to recover deleted iMessages from iPhone for free with iMessages Recovery tools (third-party utility), which can read and get access to your iMessage database from iOS device or backup including iMessage photos, videos or auto files. Here’s also YouTube tutorial from that page:To recover deleted/older iMessages from iPhone/iPad for free:Step 1. Download & Run the free iMessage Recovery software on Win or Mac computer; Check the Messages and Message Attachments boxes.Step 2. Connect your device to computer and start scanning iMessages from iDevice or iTunes backup.Step 3. Preview and select the iMessages to recover after it finishes scanning.Note: Please turn on the airplane mode when scanning in case that newly-received messages from other people will overwrite iOS SQLite database.Another solution you should remember is that iMessages sync across all your iOS and Mac platforms on which you activated it with the same Apple ID or iCloud Account. So if you use multiple devices, iMessages will be on each device respectively. This has helped me multiple times. For Example, I just deleted some iMessages from my iPhone, then I simply go to your iPad or Mac and the messages are there. And vise versa.Apple does Not save messages on its server. Unless you use iCloud or iTunes as your backup. Here is a list for what the encrypt/keep on server: iCloud security and privacy overview (remember not all of these are accessible through a web browser)If you use iCloud/iTunes backup (iOS) to regularly save your old iMessages, you can restore your iPhone with the backup file. However, you need to know that if you restore your iPhone, all the data you added to your iPhone after the backup will be wiped from your iPhone. Your choice.

IMessages are green and don't say delivered?

The green message indicates that it was sent as a text message probably because you didn't have good service at the time or his phone didn't. He should still receive the message as a text (although no guarantees because it is a text message, and it will not say delivered).

If you would like to ONLY send iMessages to people with iPhones, you can go to

Settings < Messages < Send as SMS < OFF

You'll still be able to receive and send all types of text messages, but if the other person has an iPhone, it will only send iMessages to them.
