Question About Itunes Backup

Where does iTunes store iPod backups?

I have an iPod Touch 5th generation, and my computer is failing to restore my iPod. I tried to update it, but I couldn't restore anything on my iPod. I want to know where the backup files can be found, as I DO NOT USE iCLOUD. I want to put the files on another computer or something and restore it with that computer. Someone help, I've tried everything to restore it.

Iphone 5 question: if i back-up my old phone via itunes on my computer will it include my music, apps & videos?

If you back up to itunes it will restore your music, videos and apps. If you want to back up your mail, contacts and calender you use itunes and either back it up into outlook or the cloud. Then you can restore it on to your new phone.

There is another option if you like that does not use itunes. Go into the app store and download the free app called bump onto both phones. Then you can move anything you want from one phone to the other by simply bumping them together. It also lets you bump between your computer and your phone. It's an amazing app.

ITunes backup?

I just reinstall iTunes. I did take backups of my songs, and now i bring back the song from by backup cd's.
BUT BUT
When I try to play a song I get the message that iTunes can not find the song and I get the option to search for it myself. Then I find it, (in the itunes folder ) and the song can play in iTunes again.
But do I have to do so with all my 700 songs, one by one before they can play. That will sure take some time.
What do I do wrong. ?

Question about iTunes backup?

I recently was forced to update to iOS 8 after my phone was acting crazy and it went into recovery mode while updating and (you guessed it) it literally deleted all
My media (stupid me for not backing up beforehand). Well, I downloaded this data recovery software on my PC and I clicked backup from iTunes and it had a list of iTunes backup files and one of them was from 9/23/2014. I clicked on it and there all my photos were. Of course I have to pay to restore them on my iPhone. Does this mean iTunes backed up my media? How do I go about viewing the backed up files on iTunes itself so that I can restore it on my iPhone 5s? Please help because iTunes wont even recognize my phone at this point. Thanks

Why cant itunes start a backup session with my iphone?

When i hook up my iphone via USB, itunes automatically does a sync and backup but recently i've gotten the notification that itunes cannot backup my iphone because a session cannot be started. Also, my ios 7 beta 1 just expired so currently, i cannot get in to my phone- long story short, is there any way to fix this back up problem without having to change anything on my phone? Also I've read that it helps if you uncheck 'sync over wi-fi' on itunes; i did this and it didnt help.

This is easy and a Google search would be faster here but anywayConnect the iPhone to your PC/MacClick the phone icon in iTunes near the upper right cornerPress ‘Back Up Now’ on the right near restore. If you want to keep everything, you’ll have to encrypt the backup and set the password. That section is just next to the backup and restore area.Press ‘Back Up Now’’WaitThat’s pretty much it. You don't need to do anything too complicated unless you get an error, so in that case, you’ll have to enter the treasure trove of the Apple Support website and the forums.

How do I backup my iPod Touch via iTunes?

If you have synced your iPod with the same computer before (synced musics, pics, videos and apps automatically), there is a big chance that all your purcahses are transfered to the computer. That is if you have authorized the computer.

Now if you see those missing apps in iTunes with out any iPods or and iDevice, that means the apps are on the computer. Just syncing the iPod again, will load the apps back to the iPod.

Still trying to backup music from Itunes?

I am having trouble backing up my files. I asked the below question earlier today and got good answers (it ended up not working, as some suggested).

Now I am having trouble because when I use a CD-R in the CDRW drive and go to File > Library > Backup to Disk in Itunes, there are two spots where it tells me that what I am trying to do will not work. The first is in the popup dialog that comes up asking me what part of my library I want to backup. At the bottom where it say "Disk Burner:" there is no drop down menu. Instead, it says "No supported Disc burners found." Then, in the rectangular box at the top on the main Itunes page it says "Disk burner or software not found..."

Could someone give me some guidance on what to do next? Do I need to download or buy a program? I would think there is some way to get the music onto the cd without downloading anything, but I wouldn't mind if I had to get a program, especially if it is free. I don't see any relevant software in the programs menu, but it was my understanding that I could do this just using Itunes.

Below is the original question that I asked so you have an idea of the overall goal of this whole thing. If this doesn't work I might just try to run a virus scan, but the computer I am working on is pretty slow so I think it would be better to just factory restore it. I'm doing this as a favor to someone so that they don't need to spend $180 to have a professional do it, so it would be great if you could help me to help them.

Original question:

Using Itunes 8.2.1 and a Dimension 2400 that only has a CD rewritable drive? The reason I would want to do this is the larger memory space on a DVD, thus requiring few disks. I'm trying to copy all songs so that I can do a Systemex factory restore and then reload the files. Is there a better way to do what I'm trying to do? I read about using the Ipod in hard drive mode, but I would prefer not to do this. Also, if this is the least complicated way of doing this, should I burn the files from Itunes or just copy them from My Music? Thanks for your help.
