Who are your musical influences?

Yipes! ‘Way more than I can say here. But I’ll try to do better than a non-answer.Growing up in the ’50s and ’60s, it all started with what the adults around me were playing: Arthur Godfrey, Leroy Anderson, Dean Martin, The Ames Brothers, The Ink Spots, Richard Rogers, Lerner and Lowe, Gustav Holst, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky, Spike Jones and his City Slickers, Danny Kaye, Cal Tjader, George Shearing, Nat “King” Cole, Yma Sumac…Then my world broke open and exploded: Sheb Wooley! David Seville! Bobby “Boris” Pickett! The Everly Brothers! Stan Freberg! And seeping through the crack under the door, the folkies - The Chad Mitchell Trio, The Kingston Trio, Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul & Mary, The New Christy Minstrels, Ian & Sylvia, Gordon Lightfoot, The Limelighters, Burl Ives…Then OMG, here came the guitar guys. First, the surf guys - Dick Dale, The Ventures, The Chantays, The Astronauts, The Challengers, The Surfaris. Then, whiz bang! The British Invasion guys - The Beatles, The Dave Clark Five, The Rolling Stones, The Searchers, The Kinks, The Who, The Animals, Chad & Jeremy, Peter & Gordon, the Seekers… oh no, here come the blues guys! The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Eric Clapton, Howlin’ Wolf, Little Walter, Geoff Muldaur… uh-oh, the R&B guys - James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Booker T. and the MGs, Joe Tex, Otis Redding, Mitch Ryder, Sam Cooke… oops, ‘scuze me while I kiss the sky! Psychedelia and related rock - Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Quicksilver Messenger Service, It’s A Beautiful Day, Janis Joplin, The Jefferson Airplane, Steppenwolf, Cream, Pink Floyd, Spirit, The Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel, Donovan, Santana…I can’t say it ended there by any means, but by then I was pretty fully formed, and not as susceptible to “influence”, at least not in the same way.

Where can i find one angel's hand sheet music by mark salona?

Does anyone know where I can find sheet music for "Not Even Human" by Angel Taylor?

Go to your local music shop that sells instruments and gives lessons. Most are more than happy to order sheet music, as it's a part of their business, as well as having it for selling to students for lessons. When you buy it from a shop, you're going to get a properly scored and complete version. Sometimes you also might be able to find a local bookstore that can get a copy of sheet music. Especially the smaller ones that order books and other things for their customers. The bigger ones you're less likely to have any luck, ordering through them, though it never hurts to ask.

What’s the saddest song you’ve ever heard?

The Ballad of Sam Stone (There's a Hole in Daddy's Arm) by John Prine:Sam StoneCame homeTo his wife and family After serving in the conflict overseas. And the time that he had served Had shattered all his nervesAnd left a little shrapnel in his knee. But the morphine eased the painAnd the grass grew 'round his brainAnd gave him all the confidence he lackedWith a Purple Heart and a monkey on his back.(chorus)There's a hole in daddy's armWhere all the money goesJesus Christ died for nothingI suppose.Little pitchers have big earsNever stop to count the years.Sweet songs never last too long on Broken radios.Sam Stone's welcome home Didn't last very longHe went to work when he'd spentHis last dime. And Sammy took to stealin'When he got that empty feelin'For a hundred dollar habitWithout overtime. But the gold rushed through his veinsLike a thousand railroad trainsAnd eased his mind in the moments that he chose,While the kids ran 'round wearing other people's clothes.(chorus)Sam Stone was alone When he popped his last balloon.Climbing walls while sitting in his chair. And he played his last request In a room smelled just like deathAnd an overdose hoverin' in the air.But life had lost its fun,And nothing could be done,'Cept to trade his house he got on the GI BillFor a flag-draped casket on a local heroes' hill.(chorus)

Strongest recommendation I have. Love this song so much I own the karaoke disc.

Colin isn't traditional Christian, but does many Christian songs in country format.

Help! I need a song to sing for talent in a pageant :)?

Every year my hometown holds a pageant that all female seniors have the chance to sign up for. Usually, the songs for talent portion are geared toward strong young women. I guess the whole pageant is geared in that direction. But the song can be pretty much anything as long as it's not about LOVE.

So, I need help to figure out a song I can sing for this pageant as long as it's not about love.
So, I'm not sure about my range as in terms such as "saprano" or whatever the other technical terms are, but I will supply you with songs and artists I can sing.
I can sing:
Beautiful by Christina Aguilera
All Dixie Chicks songs (literally all. They are exactly in my range, but most of their music is inappropriate or about love.)
I cannot sing:
High pitched songs like Defying Gravity, On my own, Martina McBride, or Carrie Underwood.

Who sang "Satin Sheets"? Got money onit!!!!?

Jeanne Pruett had the #1 hit (in 1973), though it was recorded by Loretta Lynn the same year, and has been covered by lots of other people, including The Bellamy Brothers, Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr., and Tammy Wynette.

Where can I find Christian baby songs for a girl's christening?

You could definately use Martina McBride's In My Daughter's Eyes. It is lovely.

Here are the lyrics, and a link to the sheet music...

In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daugter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes
