Question About My Lip Piercing .

Two questions about my lip piercing?

Alright, I have two questions about my lip piercing. The first is why I have this weird white bump type thing directly under/on the hole on the OUTSIDE of my mouth. It looks like a pimple directly on/around the hole. Occasionally, if I squeeze it, pus will come from it. Is this because it actually is a pimple on or around the hole of my lip piercing, or is it some sort of infection? I'm not going to lie, and I know it is VERY bad to do, but I did slack off on cleaning my piercing for a couple days or so.

The other question I have is why I have this huge raised bump on the INSIDE of my mouth directly under the lip piercing. It's been here for quite a while and I just ignored it because I thought it would heal over time. (My lip piercing is fairly new. I've only had it for about two weeks or so.) It's hard to explain. It's just a raised bump directly under my lip piercing on the inside of my mouth. It doesn't hurt or anything, It's just really big and quite large.

Please help?

Lip & Nose piercing questions?

I've pierced my lip before, but took it out because i (stupidly) used alcohol swabs to clean it, and it was always sore. Next chance i get i'm gonna re-pierce the left side again, then the right, then the middle. Someone with experience; any difference in pain between the labret and side of the lip?

Nose: Anyone know who Wayne Static is? Well i want 2 rings on the left side of my nose like he has. Never done any piercings besides my lip, so would love an idea of what to expect.

A question about drinking soda after getting lip pierced?

So, I was thinking about getting my lip pierced tomorrow, and I was wondering... I drink soda A LOT, and since one can't drink anything acidic until the piercing heals, I'm curious... if I drank it through a straw, and it never even touched the front of my mouth, could I still drink it?

Couple questions about lip piercing.?

Hey guys, was never really interested much in this stuff til now. I'm not worried about the pain or anything but i do want to know a few things first.

1)How long does it take to heal? and how long will i have to look like a swollen freak and clean it 3 times a day?
2)Does it smell? Ive heard people talking about plugs and how they start to smell. maybe a stupid question but worth asking.
3)How high maintenance is it?
4)How much does it cost to get it done professionally? (i live in ontario, canada if that makes any difference)
5)How easily/likely is it to get infected or something?
6)pus? face drippage?

Basically anything you think someone getting a lip piercing whos never got it done before should know would be very appreciated.

thanks everyone.

Should my labret piercing cut my lip? I got my lip pierced yesterday, and this morning I’ve woke up with a big cut where the plate sits.

A2a. I have no idea what Labret piercing is and I have a new rule of my own. I will be deleting questions on subjects I know nothing about, whether they're a2a or not, questions I consider stupid, insane or ridiculous hypothetical questions or questions easily answered by googling or checking wikipedia. In your case it sounds like you should go to a doctor or an emergency room. Good luck.

How to keep a lip piercing from rejecting?

A lip piercing is not going to grow out of your face the way a belly piercing can move out of the skin. If your body was to decide it didn't like the piercing then it would become red, aggravated and uncomfortable BUT it's not going to just take off moving. If you have one piercing that healed, it's very likely that your lip will accept a new one.

Your body can decide to reject a piercing at any time, but a lip ring would be more likely to respond to injury, general poor health, or some other kind of stress. It's not likely that your skin will just up and hate the piercings one morning, but it is humanly possible.

This said, it's possible for a lip piercing to migrate a little bit (not out of your lip, but they can shift). This can happen if your jewlery is badly fitted and puts pressure on your piercing. So if you notice one of your piercings starts moving, don't panic. Just visit your piercer and have them make sure everything is fitting well.

To keep your body happy with your piercings, keep them clean, stay in reasonable health (try to avoid things that would hospitalize you), and wear proper jewelry made of quality materials. It's pretty simple.

There are no foods that will cause rejection, but you do want to avoid irritating foods on a new piercing. Try to skip super-spicy food for a few weeks, cut out beer, avoid yogurt until you're healed, don't suck down pints of alcohol. Once you're healed you'll be able to eat all of these things again, but for now.

I have no idea what the plastic you ate would do. My basic suggestion is to look it up online by the type of plastic. Personally I'd guess that if you're feeling ok and remain that way that you'll be fine. Just don't eat any more of it. And in the future, don't put plastic wrappings in the microwave.

Is It Okay For My Lip Piercing To Be Pussing?

Congratulations on your new piercing :D

Pussing is normal after a few days. It's your body's way of healing. The pussing will eventually turn into crusties which will stick onto your lip ring. I remember I had yellow pussing after I got my lip pierced and I was scared because I thought I had an infection. The pussing lasted for about two weeks and than I started having crusties on my lip ring. Crusties are normal. I've had my piercing for about 5 months and everything is okay.

Just remember to keep your new piercing clean. Goodluck :]

Lip piercing chafing my lip?

I've had my lip pierced in the middle since October. The ring is a little big so it sort of falls to one side. The ring leaves an imprint on the side of my lip due to this. Lately, my lip's been hurting where the ring falls to the side and digs into my lip. How can I prevent this?

I'm thinking that wearing a smaller ring without the ball would solve the problem but i don't know.

How do I take care of my snake bite lip piercing?

Snake bite piercing is alot like the Tongue. You need to use mouth wash for inside the lip (expecially if you smoke) and peroxide or salt water on the outside. I'm hoping your jewelry is long enough and you have room for swelling. This can lead to problems if you don't. You can sucks on a popsicle or Mr. Freeze for any swelling but stay away from dairy. The dairy can cause bacteria to grow if your not rinsing enough. I hope this helps, good luck.

If you have braces, and you get your lip pierced, would you have like... A "shock" feeling?

if you have a rug in your house ,chances of touching something in the home could give you a static shock=I don,t think the braces and piercing in the same place will
