JCPenney Sephora questions?
So i'm gonna be working at the sephora in jcpenney and i was wondering if there is any difference between jcpenney and normal sephora's. Do you still get to wear the uniforms? What is the usual benefits/pay? Do you get your own set of personal brushes?
Question for Sephora employees.?
Here's Sephora's contact info > 1-877-SEPHORA (1-877-737-4672) Mon-Fri, 6AM to 9PM PST and Sat-Sun, 8AM to 5PM. You could call there and ask them; however, there may be different requirements at different locations. Sephora is also sold at JCPenney's. You might check there to see if you can get a job with them with less experience. If the manager told you they require a year in retail, just go pick up another 4 months more experience anywhere, and then apply. You might try another make up counter or different area in JCPenney's. Then you could later request a transfer to Sephora at JCPenney's and/or apply at the Sephora store. Maybe they've got a nicer manager at JCPenney's. You don't want to work anywhere with a manager who seems "snarky and mean;" that's a red flag and indicative of how you'll be treated while working there. Some make up retail workers act that way at other make up counters, too. Personally, I'd look for a nicer bunch of people and managers to work with. Maybe try a different make up line if that's your interest ~ people who act nicer and less uppity. You can sometimes tell if a manager is nice by the employees who work at a place. good luck.
I want to work at M.A.C. or Sephora but the question is HOW?
I have makeup skill, i know about skintones, colors, etc I alwaysget compliment on my makeup. But i dont know how to approach MAC/Sephora, should I call them (there far) or visit them, what would be better??? Please tell me anything that could help me, thank you
Question about stealing from Sephora?
K so I rarely steal. but my friends do but I dont ever know they are cause I'm like usually walking around looking at things well, they love to steal. 2 days ago we were at a sephora in the mall and I was looking at makeup then got a text that said go to the cafeteria so I did and they showed me all the stuff they got and they got me things too but they didn't get caught. Well today we were at a different Sephora and I have money so I was buying the new Anastasia lip glosses I was by myself walking around and I hear the alarm go off and I see them running and I started freaking out and then I see the workers on the phone looking around and decided I'd leave so I left. They got like the same things as last time but different brand things so my question is how did they not get caught walking out of the doors at the first Sephora but got caught walking out the doors at the other one? What could trigger an alarm? Because if you were to buy something and walk out the alarm won't go off but if you dont pay for it and walk out it does ? Makes no sense how would paying make a difference

I have a job interview at Sephora this weekend. What kind of questions would they ask? I know the general questions that would be asked but I want more specific questions that a makeup store would ask? I really want this job so I want to be as prepared as possible for this interview. Help!
Sephora giftcard question!! PLEASE HELP!!!?
My friend gave this giftcard to me for my birthday:http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh... It's worth $25. My total in items is $19. shipping is $5.95 So the total is $24.95 That's perfect, right? So when I enter the gift card number, pin number and shipping info, it's all perfect. But when I go to confirm my order, it says: You must enter a payment method to cover the total. and Missing Credit Card Type, Missing Credit Card Number and Invalid Credit Card Expiration. But why would I need to enter that if I have a gift card?? Am I putting the numbers in the wrong place??? I entered them in the gift card redemption spot. That's the only place I see for gift cards. HELP!!!://
What is it like to be a Sephora makeup artist?
By far one of the most fun jobs I have ever had. I have a passion for the subject, so the fact alone that I got to just roam around and touch everything all day was amazing to me. Most customers were extremely nice and very eager to learn, and I was part of an incredible team - I still only go to that specific Sephora store, so I can talk to the girls.It’s hard work, as is all retail. Lots of hours on your feet, short and few breaks, having to be overly nice to EVERYONE, having to know everything about everything…I absolutely loved working at Sephora, though. Getting to basically play with makeup and talk to people all day is a dream scenario for me.
Stealing sephora samples question?
It's gross, wrong, and it is stealing. When you take something that isn't YOURS that's stealing. It's gross because millions of people hold it, pick it up and try it, many people sirectly put it on themselves too so it goes right back to the table and it's germ infected. I think it would be pathetic to be stealing samples only because how gross and infected it is, that the sample isn't even full! Those samples are usually not even half filled because of all the purple that use them, and because really how much is a pea sized amount of a product, from that sample) going to last? That's just dumb lol.
What are your opinions about Sephora as a company?
Sephora was an awesome company to work for. They care about their clients as well at their employees. There are lots of opportunities for growth based on skill and they are good at recognizing their employees strengths and weaknesses and then developing those strengths through training. They are also an accepting company who like to celebrate people of all types, included female ran companies and brands. They pay their employees well, they don’t have them work off of commission so they aren’t biased when suggesting products and they give regular raises. Overall Sephora has been one of the best companies to work for and I would enjoy working for them one day again.
