What is the most popular major at the University of Central Missouri? Why?

I've spent a lot of time on the UCM campus in recent years.  In my experience, 3 answer are possible, depending on your opinion of "popular".First, the most obvious.  UCM are originally a teacher's college, so the education department is huge.  It is a guess (but an educated one) to say that the education field has a majority of undergraduate students right now. That being said, the nursing major is not far behind.  Even in the 7 years I was there, it probably close to doubled in size. Finally, the music technology program at UCM is the biggest (and only) within...500 miles?  I believe?  There are only a handful of students there, but it is the biggest program of its kind around.

Is University of Central Missouri a good school?

This is just my opinion about Masters in University of Central Missouri. Myself being a transfer student to University of Central Missouri from University of New Mexico because of my personal reasons I can put a good picture about UCM and other schools. If your preferences are as below:Get Masters done in less fee.Get Masters done in less than 2 years(1 or 1.5 years). You don’t care about the diversity in school/class.You don’t care about assistantships/campus jobs (there are very few assistantships and jobs in UCM).You don’t care even it takes a couple of months after M.S to get a job.You have no plans of doing research after Masters and all you want after M.S is to get a good job. Then, yes it’s a good school to proceed with Masters. One best thing about UCM is that it offers full time CPT course which you cannot get in all the schools. But if you have other preferences like working in an assistantship and don’t care even it takes 2 years for M.S or relatively high fee but can get good diversity among students in school and interested in research work then this school is not for you buddy. Give a thought and decide on this.

What is better university in the following list for pursuing M.S in U.S. Kent state university, Cleveland state university, university of central Missouri, Texas a&m commerce?

You would benefit from adding more detail To your question and figuring out those details can help you decide! Which M.S. program(s) are you considering? Is there a specialty or focus area in which you're particularly interested? Are you also hoping to obtain your Ph.D. Or other doctoral degree or is M.S. the terminal degree in your field?Without more information, the best advice I can give you is to research the degree program and faculty in that program at each of those insititutions. Does one have more distinction in the disciplinary area you'd like the focus? Does one have more faculty  your specialization and/or some star performers doing research and publishing in the area you want to be? What opportunities exist at that institutions in terms of graduate fellowships or other support? These are all important questions to figure out before you decide on an institution or the couple best fits (assuming you have your choice of all.) I got my baccalaureate and master's degrees from Kent State and had a great experience but you will want to be sure to get your best fit for the program you wish to pursue.

Which university is better UCM or Northwest Missouri State University? My GRE score is 295 with work experience?

I’ll state the obvious: look at the programs offered by each school as a start. I am assuming that you are looking at grad school, since you mention the GRE.If you’re looking for a graduate degree in agriculture, for example, Northwest is the only choice, since UCM does not offer any degrees in that area. If you are looking for an education degree, as another example, there are some things to consider—depending on the specialty. Northwest offers, for example, a couple of degrees for teaching English language learners, while Central does not. On the other hand, UCM offers a counseling degree and NW does not.Do some research on the programs offered as a beginning. Then visit the schools to see what you think about how well the program you need would fit you personally.

What are the benefits of studying at the University of Central Missouri?

Depends on your major. Some things that apply for all majors:Relatively high employment rate after graduation because of the career center.Low tuition.Relatively small town (some might consider this a negative). For me personally, this is 1 of only 2 Universities in Missouri that is recognized as UCAP - AC (advanced curriculum) by the Society of Actuaries. The other is Maryville which has a much more expensive tuition. Therefore, this is a very good school for an aspiring Actuary. The school is also very famous for education if you are looking to become an education major. In fact my grandmother got her education degree from this school. There also seem to be a lot of criminal justice majors here, so I suspect that it might be fairly well known for that, but I don’t know the details.

Would you recommend studying at the University of Central Missouri? Why or why not?

As an alumni of University of Central Missouri, I may sound biased, but doesn’t matter. I would highly recommend because of the course, course content, scholarship opportunities (at that time), friendly faculties, low cost of living, and peaceful / safe environment. At one point, I had 3 scholarship offers to choose from.Although I had other options, but considering all these above factors I opted for UCM.My inputs are based my experience i.e. almost a decade and half ago, so you can get in touch with new students for latest updates.

How do you rent a car from an Amtrak Station (Kansas City)?

We are planning a train trip to Kansas City area, and we are left wondering, how do people who go by Amtrak rent cars. I am sure I am not the first person to take a vacation by train, and want to rent a car? How do they do it?

How safe is the Kansas City Greyhound station?

Lol well. If you don't know the city, don't leave. Kansas City's violence is faar worse then a lot of people think. However, 12th and Troost is on the outside of the ghetto. More downtown than anything. It's relatively safe. I'm a white 19 year old guy and I mess around downtown all the time. You really should have no concerns with it. stay in the bus station, you'll be absolutely fine. Thanks for the idea though, I've been trying to find a place that rents cars to 18+ in Kc, didn't even think about greyhound. Good luck!
