Do you Prefer a Ethnic Nose or Button Nose????? ( guys mostly )?
I think it depends on your face shape. A full nose looks better on ppl with strong check bones and medium to full mouths to balance things out. Button noses look cute on ppl that are tiny or have other smaller features... Its actually been proven that Human Beings are programmed to find ppl more attractive if they have Symmetry. ( I'll find the article and post a link in the "Source" section) Balance and portion helps the physical aspects of attraction...but physical beauty can't stay in the boxing ring if it doesn't have a good personality to fortify it.
Question on ethnic nose shape?
Could I ask what aspect of my nse makes it match with other noses that look Indian or Pakistani. I realize that there is much variation, but my nose has been compared with other indo pak noses which are shorter, thinner and smaller, so I wonder what common quality they all share with mine in order to be put under the same label. Can you identify someone's ethnicity by their nose?
Definitely not, I’m from Eritrea and there is literally every nose shape existent in my country. I also live in Sweden and also see regularly many middle easterns so I can tell you that neither swedes or middle easterns share a specific/common look.Obviously you could go by stereotypes so everyone that has a hook nose is middle eastern and everyone with a turn-up nose is scandinavian. I’ve seen swedes with pretty much flat noses, hook and of course turn up noses. The same with the middle easterns and even the same with Eritreans.All countries have diversity and there is no chance you’ll know where someone is from by their nose. The stereotype for my country is a defined, sharp nose with a long nasal bridge but I haven’t got such nose. Neither does my dad.

IMHO, the first guy looks like very "British", the second looks Middle eastern, the third looks like he could be found punting on a football game with is mates on a Monday morning and the fourth looks Irish I guess? This is just my view.Well, to be honest, the English are a mongrel people(for the lack of a better word) as far as ethnicity goes.Subsequent waves of invasion by the Angles, Saxons and Jutes, later the Normans(although this only replaced the upper crust), Vikings(Scandinavians) and so forth led to the creation of the modern day ethnic English people and its culture and institutions. Like those before me have said, I doubt there is an English look and going by all the evidence, I doubt it is something to aspire for! ^^

"Straightest" noses? The ethnicity that doesn't get into barroom brawls. I am pretty sure "straight" noses (do you mean the shape and not the sexual orientation of a nose?) are pretty common in EVERY ethnicity, regardless of race. (I don't see a lot of babies with noticeably deviated septa.) Edit: Ah... Maybe Scandinavians, but they sometimes have Aquiline/Roman/"hooked" noses.

A nose acts as a water filter, it filters the amount of water in the air for the lungs. flat broad noses, ie one that may be found on a sub saharan african is made for a very wet climate. A black persons nose is made for a jungle climate, jungles are continually wet. Beak like or pointy noses as you call them are for climates with less water in the air, so dry climates, either hot and dry (desert), or very cold (artic) when the temperature freezes the water in the air leaving less water vapor. Then every one else is in between these two extremes, beak like or broad and flat. So yes noses are entirely racial, and its part of your identity, so you should be proud of what nature gives you, its is a product of evolution and perfectly made for the climate your ancestors originated from. Science/human anatomy/evolution question: Why are African noses such a starkly different shape than that of middle easterners/Indians?
Since noses are shaped differently across diff. ethnic groups to adapt to the CLIMATE our ancestors originated from; why are black noses so much broader and wider than Arab and Indian noses (at least North Indian), which are typically very narrow and straight, given that both ethnic groups originated from HOT arid climates in Africa, the Middle East and east Asia respectively. I mean, Arab noses most often more closely resemble a European shape than an African one, yet the two ethnic groups evolved to adapt to opposite environments. Why is this? Why don’t Arabs and Indians have broad, African noses, since those are best suited for hot environments.
