Question Regarding History And Journalism Let Me Know Asap

How can some journalists present fake articles?

I am trying to be as crude and Frank as possible with you. But please do no take this as a general statement. This is even what your question says, few journalist…fake news. Also, it's a long answer.Coming to the point. In the last five years or more journalism has changed; not just in India but globally. This is what I usually call as social media or heresay journalism. While reading this answer, pick the best business or general newspaper you have around you. Read the stories carefully. You will realise it's all based on “he said, she said” theory. That means, the journalist is washing off his hands from fact checking…and so are the editors. Earlier, the subeditors at major newspapers did two key things: fact check and sub or edit a copy. These days, even interns file stories and they are published with little fact check. Why did this happen? Clearly of two reasons: one, the pressure of breaking a news, and the pressure of not missing any news which the competition has covered. Second, the rise of managers in place of content editors.Let's take it one by one. Journalists are now pressured to submit more than three “good” stories. However, the definition of how you define good is different for different organisations. Hence, they share stories and sometimes even invest little time cross questioning facts. Seriously, only a few do. What they do check is if it's closer to truthm to explain it better, if you are sure that 123 cases of robbery are filed from your city..If you are meeting a journalist who is busy following the story, say there are around 130 or less than 130 cases. You will see it get published the other day.The rise of managers and content heads is another reason according to my view. This hold largely true in digital journalism but even in print there are several content or product managers who now have a say in what should be published. So when a journalist is under pressure to deliver news as a product and not as an information, they manipulate it. They assume that there would be no fact checkers — neither in office nor among readers. Thus they walk.scott free. And please remember, a newspaper always publishes a news in two column in bold fonts and apology in fine print. Since you don't care reading and responding, they don't care being accountable. Now to the final page or your answer, do thehave the right? Absolutely they don't but who cares?! At least we all don't otherwise, this would have ceased long back.

When someone says “I will let you know”, what does it mean?

Usually it means they are ignoring or dismissing the issue entirely or don't want to deal with it, and saying “I will let you know” is just a kind way of getting you to go away thinking that your concern will be addressed at some time.Usually the person does not go out of their way to proactively “let you know” once they find out what you want to know --they instead just wait for you to return or contact them again to follow up and inquire of the information, so the statement is misleading. They aren't going to actually contact you when they get the information in quite as active of a manner as “I will let you know” implies. More likely, they will let you know, passively, once you contact them again on your own to inquire at a later date, at which point they “let you know,” but certainly haven't gone out of their way to inform you.Sometimes people are genuine in their commitment to let you know of something when they say they will, but mostly it is a nice way to say, “Get out of my hair right now, I don't know the information, and contact me sometime later and if I have the information, I will give it to you then, but in the meantime, please move on.”
