Question Vadic Astrology

Western Astrology Vs. Vedic Astrology?

Interesting questions. Do your moods change from day to day? Maybe hour to hour?

There are about 7 billion people on earth now and only 12 signs for all those people.
All the planets are in constant motion making different aspects every second
so there is great diversity and inner urges are constantly changing, changing, changing.

Most of us are just familiar with one system, as I am. But judging by the questions
I see here, Vedic Astrologers seem to view astrology as fate. If that were true and
astrology compelled a person to follow certain traits and actions id would be very
predictable to skilled astrologers.
Most of us in the west think that astrology impels - or urges us - to go in certain
directions. We are always being urged to do this or that, but we have choices.

You may become the expert on this. As you study the two methods
you may discover what works best. And you may discover that we all
need broader paradigms. Some us 13 signs instead of 12.

ASTROLOGY IN TWINS............ ANSWER THIS QUESTION.. INDIAN VEDIC ASTROLOGERS ONLY!!?

In short the answer for ur question may be analyzed as under:
1 Vedic astrology:
it is the first cry only that provides the reliable time.this is relevant in birth of twins where the time difference is marginal.life pattern is to be analyzed,on pulling out the baby from womb and the time of first cry that causes the differential factor.
In such cases, the choice of D 60 chart or shastymsa chart will be useful.sage parasara laid great emphasis on this.the D60 chart unearths the potential to make sense of karmic difference in life.
2. U can also use the KP technique.
First cast the two charts with placidus house division and KP old ayanamsa.
Find out the cuspal sub lords which are different.
The houses for which cuspal sub lords are different, the different life patterns are exhibited.
Analyze each of the house cuspal sub lords for the 2 charts and check their significations.if the significations vary there will be qualitative differences.

Astrological orb question ??

To my contacts and everyone thats interested in astrology

I know for everyone , the orbs are varied. So I just want to know what is your orb on the major aspects of conjunction, square, trine, opposite and sextiles hey.

And also, I have 2 saturn ( scorpio) trine aspects with mars, sun ( both in cancer ), is this a really " harmonious" thing to have considering saturn is putting restriction on both the sun and mars ,and my saturn is at 21 degree while moon at 12 degree, its 9 degree apart hey, so they dont form a trine, in your opinion , do they ?

Thank you in advanced, if you could answer both parts of the question , it would be very nice and appreciated. But its ok if you just answer the 1st part.

Cheers

Why are astrologers on Quora entertaining people who ask "horoscope interpretation" questions under "Vedic astrology"?

I have read your question carefully three times and I still do not quite understand what you are talking about. However, I will try to sort out what I think you are trying to ask. (If I get it all wrong, let me know.)For sure, some students of Vedic astrology give superficial responses which I guess could be considered as mere “entertainment”. At the same time, there are highly responsible Vedic astrologers who seem to do their best to answer a particular question as best they know how. Here is the REAL problem: many Quora people will only include a very small part of their natal chart and still expect and meaningful answer. That is, of course, just plain absurd. EVERY week I see questions similar to the following:“My Ketu is in the 4th house in Aries, how will this impact my search for the perfect wife?” (Or, equally similar nonsense.)As a Western Humanistic astrology I see the same kind of superficial nonsense with questions like this:“Why is my Aries boyfriend not talking to me now; I am a Virgo lady with Moon in Capricorn?”You know the old saying: “Garbage in, garbage out”So, you seemed to touched upon a real problem. However, the source of the trouble is NOT just with the Vedic astrologers on Quora. Too many people on Quora offer only a small portion of their natal chart and they naively expect insightful responses. It is beyond the beyond !!!

Which is the best forum of astrology on the Internet to ask a question?

Quora is a good place to ask astrological questions. There are several good astrologers on here that will be happy to answer your questions. However, as in all things in life, some are better than others. Please use discretion when evaluating an astrologer’s or a naysayer’s answer. The other problem I see is the type of questions that are asked on Quora. Put some thought into your questions and how you word them. Many, many questions that I am asked on Quora are unanswerable because of the overly generic nature of the question such as:Why are all Geminis weird? The first thought that I have is “Weird in what way?” and I find it hard to answer the question. What is the best Zodiac sign? The first thought that comes to mind is “best for what?” and I find it really hard to answer the question. When the truth is that not all Geminis are weird (whatever that means) and there is no best Zodiac sign.Or very personal questions such as requests to interpret a certain birth chart. When I first started on Quora, I answered such specific questions. However, it quickly became too draining of my time and resources. Though I love to promote astrology and absolutely love to help people, there are only so many hours in a day. Since I make my living from astrology, I can only answer a limited number of questions on this forum so I tend to pick the best questions to answer.I do have a comment section on my website Astrology classes-Learn Astrology-Astrology lessons-Astrology books where you can ask questions or make comments. Hopefully, others will join in to answer your questions. You are also welcome to ask questions on my Facebook page Astrology-Classes.com

Three questions!!! What is lagna janma rashi in vedic astrology (is it the ascendant)? More questions below!?

Before you get put off you just have to answer as much as you can so at least i know some of them. Here are the 2 more questions:
What is Navams in vedic astrology?
What is rashi kundali chandra in vedic astrology?
Please tell me the answer or explanation in english.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH :) XD

If a Vedic astrologer answers a question based on a Western Placidus chart, won't that skew the?

A Vedic astrologer won't usually respond to a question based on a Western-calculated chart unless the data is given. If the data is given, it's quite possible a jyotish astrologer would reply in that case then. The calculations between the two schools of astrology differ by approximately 23.4°. If you offer the data, then either a Western or Eastern (Vedic) astrologer can reply with confidence and accuracy *based on the way that astrologer perceives the question and information given*.

Without the data, an Eastern astrologer can't respond accurately to a Western chart--and a Western astrologer can't respond accurately to an Eastern chart *unless s/he knows both fields of study equally well*.

Edit in response to asker: I have not had the opportunity to see KP astrology in action, although I know it exists. It appears to be a fairly new approach to astrology, but as the person who replied after me noted, it still focuses on vedic. While the person didn't say, from what I *have* seen of this method, it appears to be a matter of vedic concepts and perhaps Western calculation. I mean no offense to the Eastern astrologers, but it seems to me that the end result would be like playing table tennis with a full-size tennis racquet--or tennis played with a table tennis paddle. I can't imagine seeing such a match between Federer and Nadal, nor can I picture myself analyzing a chart laid out by Vedic calculation and Western concepts--or a Vedic astrologer analyzing one I've laid out with Western calculation. Not even the great B.V. Raman. But then I don't have the same foundational understandings that a jyotisha would have.

Sheevani's explanation appears to be about 90% Vedic still and just a few concepts related to Western methodology rather than more of an even split. I confess I'd see little difference between KP in this case and traditional Vedic practice, again no offense intended to Sheevani or anyone else who works with this technique.
