Questionnaire About Before You Watch A Violent Cartoons For High Schools

What type of movies do you like to watch?

What kinds of movies do you most enjoy? Why?Family comedies with happy endings. The older I get, the less I like horror, angsty movies, message movies, fighting, bad guys, stupidity, bad science, and crudeness.I dislike those kinds of movies, because I get way too much of that unpleasant stuff in real life. I don’t want anymore in my entertainment.99% of the movies I like are comedies. Especially comedies about families, friendships, and romance. With all the irritations and pains that come from having a 77 year-old body, I need all the humor I can get.I like science fiction if it doesn’t have too much bad science. I can accept impossible things like time travel, if they’re the main point of the movie, but most everything else should be realistic. I don’t like most stuff they call science fiction because they’re really horror.I don’t like message movies because at my age, I find most messages to be rather childish.

Anime Poll 2: Anime vs Cartoons?

1. Better animation: Cartoons, because from the ones I've seen, they don't cut corners like in anime.
2. Larger fanbase: Mm ...Anime.
3. More fanmade adaptions: I'd say anime because of all the fan-made doujinshi and fanfiction.
4. More "Classics": Anime but not by much.
5. More memorable moments: Cartoons because I've seen way too much anime to make most scenes memorable.
6. Better voice actors: Anime because in some cartoons (not all) the voice actors/actresses don't even seem to try.
7. Better movie adaptions: Anime but it all depends on the series being adapted. In most cartoon movie adaptions I see, it's usually VERY predictable but in some anime movie adaptions, not so much.
8. More likely to make you laugh in the first episode: It really depends on the show. I know you said "if its a comedy" but my humor isn't like the average high-school girl due to all the stories I've read/watched so if it's the average cliche humor, I don't like it. But I do see less of average cliche humor in anime.
9. More merchandise: Anime by a long shot. (The Japanese can get a little... overly-happy about their merchandizing.)
10. More likely to be watched when older: Anime because there's always something new and fresh. Cartoons, on the other-hand, make it pretty hard to find something constantly changing and getting better.

***Miscellaneous: More likely to be watched during the era of Toonami: I'd say cartoons since I don't think anime was that popular during that time.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

It's very difficult for me to regret my own mistakes because I have learned from them but there is one in particular regret that no matter what anybody tries to tell me to make things better, I simply can't come to terms with. When I was 5 years old I was sexually abused my cousin. It went on for a while until he moved to another state. Years went by and I never said a word to anybody about it until I was 17 years old.Fast forward I graduated high school and joined the military right away. I rarely visited home but one of the days I did, my sister told me to not mention anything to anybody but that when I was on deployment my younger brother had came forward with some terrible news.My sister said that my brother told my mom that my cousin had sexually abused him. Yes, the same cousin who abused me.I asked her when it had happened and he said it was right before my cousin left to live at another state. At that moment, my heart broke. If only I had said something to someone about the sexual abuse that was being done to me my brother wouldn't have suffered. My brother suffered a lot but we didn't know what was wrong. He never said a word to anybody about anything. Now we know why and if I would have said something, he wouldn't have been abused.I've learned to accept that it wasn't my fault but it's still something that when I think about it, it breaks me down.

Which animated TV series had the greatest impact on your childhood?

There are many TV series which made an impact on me - because I am a TV person. Having said that, I think the era of meaningful cartoons/animated series ended with me i.e. the 90s and I am so thankful for that. I am from India, born in, umm, guess from the cartoons that I mention ;)A few TV series that I can think of now which left a mark on my mind for life are:Tom & Jerry - 'Nuff said :) Swat Cats - I LOVED this series. I was introduced to gadgets, Technology and action with this series. Competing with Captain Planet, Dexter, etc. this series was based on realistic plotting, facing the world scenarios rather than magical powers, science, etc.Johnny Bravo - How many of you remember this guy? His frame seemed HILARIOUS to me back then but I get it now ;) Comedy unbeatable in this series.Power Puff Girls - The X potion got many into trouble but my favourite superhero women series of all times. I even purchased series merchandise which I was crazy about for years.Dexter - Guess I started loving Chemistry from then on, thanks Dex and Deedee :DHeidi - She is my favourite cartoon character for whom I even shed a few tears. This series is close to my heart because it taught me things like love, friendship, independence, togetherness, separation, hatred and, in short, LIFE! For all those who have missed this series (read current generation kids) please watch it to know what life is and how to deal with situations.Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, Samurai Jack etc. - Remember those Pokemon cards! :D Not much to say how awesome these series were. They taught how to be confident of myself (Samurai gave me a flavour of Japanese culture) and the value of friendship.Pogo TV (Bob The Builder, Noddy, Oswald, Pingu) - This quadruplet taught me the value of being kind, helpful and compassionate to our surroundings and people. There were many other Pogo TV shows which I was completely obsessed with (how many girls remember the S Club 7 series?) for a good few years. That's about it on my list for now. I wish that today's generation gets to watch more of these shows than Doremon, Shinchan, Ninja Hattori and the likes which only promote stupidity and violence (not saying that Swat Cats, Captain Planet, Pokemon, Dragon Ball and likes didn't endorse violence but they carried other important messages too).Luck!Edit: Please do visit my blog post picking out the my top 5 favourites from the list!
