How many iPhones are sold in the US each year?

CANDIDATE: Can I ask some clarifying questions?INTERVIEWER: Yes, go ahead.CANDIDATE: Are we talking about stores selling to end users, or are including these:· Stores selling to other stores.· Manufacturers selling to stores.· Users selling to users.INTERVIEWER: Assume only the iPhones that are sold in store to the end users.CANDIDATE: Okay. I think based on these information, I can draft a formula like this:Candidate writes the following on whiteboard.# US population * % smart phone penetration * % iOS market share * % people buying new iPhonesI’ll be breaking down each of these as I go down, but here is the general formula I want to follow as I step through this problem.INTERVIEWER: Looks good.CANDIDATE: I know the US has about 300 million populations, so we got our first number down.Candidate plugs the number into formula.Next, let’s talk smart phone penetration. The US has a high number, and it’s around 70% from what I remember.Candidate plugs the number into formula.Next, I want to work on % iOS market share. I know Android has more market penetration pretty much everywhere, but it’s the closest in the US. If I remember correctly, it should be around 35%.Candidate plugs the number into formula. Finally, how many people would get new iPhones each year? I say we need to break down by users.Candidate writes the following on whiteboard.Hardcore fans (new iPhone every year): 10%Midcore fans (new iPhone every other year): 60%Regular people (new iPhone every 3 years): 30%This is from my own anecdotal experience out of all my friends. This would be easier if iPhones are still on 2 year contract plans, but that’s been largely canceled. Also I will say people who are just buying new iPhones (they used to not use iPhones) are negligible, because the smartphone penetration and iOS market share hasn’t moved around much for a while. We can then get the last of our number through this formula.Candidate writes the following on whiteboard.X (represents the first 3 numbers) * 0.1 * 1 + X * 0.6 * 0.5 + X * 0.3 * 0.33= X * (0.1 * 1 + 0.6 * 0.5 + 0.3 * 0.33)= X * (0.1 + 0.3 + 0.1)= X * 0.5So our fourth number is 0.5.Candidate plugs the number into formula. Now we have our final formula.# US population * % smart phone penetration * % iOS market share * % people buying new iPhones300 million * 0.7 * 0.35 * 0.5= 300 million * 0.35 * 0.35= 300 million * 0.1225= 300,000,000 * 0.1225= 36,750,000 = 36 millionTo conclude, about 36 million iPhones are sold in the US every year.

Nissan Altima 2014 - Need a Honest Review?

Pros
Satisfying acceleration and fuel economy from both engines; engaging handling; refined ride; comfortable front seats; user-friendly electronics; solid interior quality; top crash test scores.
Cons
Not as much rear headroom as some other top sedans; CVT can be overeager during moderate acceleration, resulting in excess noise from four-cylinder engine.
What's New for 2014
Nissan has discontinued the Altima coupe for 2014, but the remaining Altima sedan benefits from the introduction of NissanConnect Apps, a smartphone integration platform that includes Pandora and Facebook connectivity. Also, the 2.5 S trim gets a Sport Value package and a touchscreen-based Display Audio package as options, while the Technology package is now offered on both SV and SL trims.

Connecting phone to 2009 Camry LE bluetooth?

Go to http://toyota.letstalk.com/ and use the "Use/Pair an Existing Phone" option after choosing your model car. This is Toyota's official partner site for pairing Bluetooth phones.

If you do not find your particular Bluetooth phone listed, try and find a model that is similar. Under each model listing (on the page with a chart of what Bluetooth features your phone supports with the car) there are Bluetooth pairing guides, and if your phone allows it contact/phonebook transfer instructions as well. They don't mention any differences in LE/SE/XLE Camry models, just whether or not you have navigation installed or not.

If you do not have a little phone button to pick up or hang up a call, is it possible that your Camry does not actually have Bluetooth installed? Is it actually listed on your window sticker from when you bought it? The Bluetooth phone capability is part of the option package that adds the JBL 6-CD in-dash player and extra speakers in the Camry LE.

Perhaps you have a 3rd party aftermarket installation instead? If so, you may need to go to the installing dealer to fix it. Since you have a 2009, it should still be under warranty (accessories are usually only 1 year/12,000 miles, but if it was factory installed it would've been the usual 3 year/36,000 mile new vehicle warranty).

If you have already managed to pair a phone in the past, and haven't changed or used another phone, and the connection varies... Try setting your phone to always search for Bluetooth, as the automatic setting/selective-seach/Bluetooth on only if it finds it version (though it saves the phone's battery) tends to not always connect. Also make sure that your phone's initial Bluetooth connect signals aren't being blocked by something, such as the phone sitting next to an iPod in your pocket/bag.

How many phones you have bought till now (as on September 06,2014)?

Why can Huawei and Oppo create a foldable phone with less time when Samsung needs more time to create it?

Samsung showed off prototype flexible OLED screen technology ten years ago, and an improved one, officially to be a product, six years ago. LG also showed off a flexible screen in 2013. Not a phone. That does not imply that Samsung has been working on a folding phone since 2009 or 2013, only that they have been developing folding OLEDs. In fact, Samsung has been selling many millions of flexible OLED displays in the last few years. The Fold probably began as a reinvention of the “Valley” project, and dual-screen folding phone project at Samsung sometime in 2016 or earlier. But the original idea was a failure, and the project was cancelled. No idea when the Fold project actually started.Huawei filed their first folding phone patents in 2017. So they’ve been at it for over two years. Samsung’s got a bunch of patents from early 2018. Apple’s also got some folding phone patents. So does LG. Everyone has been working on it.Also, just because you can do a thing does not make it sensible to do that thing, or to do it fast. A good idea implemented badly is probably dead in the industry for years, even if you later improve it. Samsung apparently spent considerable time working on a folding phone that was actually a good idea. For example, the screen… because they fold, none of these folding phones have glass protecting the display. How long before those flexible panels scratch to bits. Samsung’s got the only inward-folding screen. It might just matter.Read MoreSamsung Folding Devices To Create A New Segment.Nobody Would Have Bought Samsung's Project Valley Folding Phone | Digital TrendsApple patents folding phone design as rivals ramp up plansDave Haynie's answer to What is the point of making a smartphone display foldable. Is it better to buy an expensive phone for a long term or to buy low end phones for short terms and change them every year with a new one?

It's my personal opinion that you better buy low cost smartphones for short term and replace them once a year.Actually you can see how the things are changing, you getting better and better specs with high end smartphones at high price but yet there's many chances you may feel stuck with your end smartphone. There's the reason you should better look for low or budgeted smartphone :-The rapid changing technology, you don't know what would become trend, like you wittinessed fingerprint scanner, FHD display becoming common things on phones nowaday and new things getting added day by day.Chances of your phones getting lost or theft. Smartphones are the thing one generally carry everywhere, so these chances are high, just to don't left with regret of your high end smartphone being lost or theft, better buy budgeted one and use as however you want.Phone gets Damaged or full of Scratches, like you know over the time of usage, getting display damaged or getting dent is common if you don't use cover protection. If your phone is costly, you may feel like stuck with that.Low cost phones nowaday providing almost same specs as the high cost once. You can always use your low cost phone without any cover or screen protector if you moto is to keep it for short term.So it's all upto you what you wanna to buy, there're also many advantages of getting high end smartphone which not mentioned here. Once again it's my personal opinion to buy low cost smartphone.Hope you got answer to your question.
