CD player still works, but no AM/FM reception of any kind on car radio?
Check the antenna. See if the antenna on the vehicle is damaged (this time of year car washes take off 90% of vehicle antennae). Assuming the vehicles antenna is intact and in one piece, check the antenna connection behind the radio. If the antenna is connected behind the radio, there could possibly be a problem with the radio's tuner (internally). The only way to properly diagnose this problem is to place a radio that is known to work into the vehicle (simply to test) and check the radio reception. If the radio reception is improved and working, you know the problem lies within the radio itself. If it still does not work, there is a problem with the antenna on the vehicle (disconnected, damaged, cut, etc.)

My car dies for a split second, then keeps going?
About 2-3 weeks ago, my 2003 Honda Accord had the check engine light come on. One day, my car was parked, running. I got out, and when I got back in, the car was off, but my whole instrument panel was up, as if the car was in the stage right before you start it up, and the electrical stuff turns on. The only thing was, I hadn't had any issues, and I allowed my mind into tricking me into thinking I turned the engine off and just didn't remember. Well, the check engine light turned off after that so I figured NBD. Today I was driving, and twice, the car shut down for about a half second. Mind you, it kept cruising, and didn't break. Then it kicked back up again an I kept going. The radio turned off and back on, and all of my meters on my panel went down to zero, and then went back up to where they had been. The car lost as power for that brief period. Sounds like maybe a solenoid issue to me? What you guys think? Only trouble is that I had a new solenoid put in back in May. It is also worth noting that the check engine light is now back on.

Ask your family, any family member, aunt, uncle, grandparent, parent, to chip in and ask for it to be "an early/late birthday gift". To actually earn your money yourself, why not offer to clean up a neighbor's house? Or babysit. I used to clean my neighbor's house, just basic sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, etc, and I would pull weeds in her garden. Then I got a real job (PS, I am 15 as well, and I have a real job, it's not impossible) Best of luck, I'll also be attending a GD concert this summer. I've been to two before and they put on one of the best live shows EVERRRR!

I am not known to indulge in ‘shit' literally!By the time I got a car, my spouse was out on the way in his own posh car! He never let me use his car while we were together. I saved enough to buy a car, he added the missing grudgingly. I reminded him the kids which are with me are also his and will benefit from a car!I am so glad I did! Buy the car. I never saw the number plate though, blame it on the snow, separation and a Valentine's day when my world was coming apart.It must be the only expensive shit on roads. The number plate maybe worth a million for a shit fan, it sounds like LOO EKK!By the time I realized this awesome rejection of the similarity to shit, I had to be grateful I had a car and no processing of how to change the plate or the car for now. I now drive with humbled pride wondering how much audicity I have to drive with a number plate like that.Still the magnanimity of my incarnation as ex-wife, lent the car to ex-husband who never let me drive his car. Yes, you can call me a good person. He used the car, filled the petrol and left the receipt in the car to show he had done it.That's the only day I ever lent my car to a spouse of the kind ex-spouse.The number plate still exists to remind me of our shitty affair aka marriage! Anecdotes- Me, my older sister, and three of her friends held a car wash to raise the money for tickets to their 1975 Fandango Tour. We held it at the gas station on the corner where our high school was. The ticket was a whopping $5.75 for ZZ Top, Status Quo, R.E.O. Speedwagon, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Johnny Winter, & Aerosmith, although I seem to recall either Status Quo or R.E.O. Speedwagon cancelling. Still have the ticket stub :) I also remember someone with a portable 8-track player playing Tres Hombres on the school bus every morning my freshman year, and everyone singing along loudly, including the driver. Trivia- Anyone who bought the CD version of Tres Hombres heard a bastardized version with a different mix. The original vinyl mix was unavailable for more than 20 years. Poor things, they didn't know what they were missing.
