Ramadan; I Really Dislike Arabs Is That Ok

They have different meanings, and carry different implications.“Ramadan Mubarak” can be translated as “blessed Ramadan”, in the same way that somebody else might say “happy holidays” around December. This is the traditional greeting during Ramadan, and is more common around the world.“Ramadan Kareem” can be translated as “generous Ramadan”. It is less commonly used, because it carries the dangerous implication that Ramadan itself is capable of being generous to us, when in fact it is Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) who grants blessings. As such, I would personally advise against using this phrase, and using “Ramadan Mubarak” instead.Here’s a scholarly source discussing the issue:Saying Ramadan Kareem explained by Shaykh Fawzaan & Shaykh UthaymeenRamadan Mubarak to all Muslims, across the world.Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) knows best. All praise and worship be only to Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala).

You can say like others have always greeted the Muslims with Ramadan Mubarak or Happy Ramadan.

Ramadan : Who is a muslim?

The Holy Quran answers your question:

023.002 Those who humble themselves in their prayers;

023.003 Who avoid vain talk;

023.004 Who are active in deeds of charity;

023.005 Who abstain from sex,

023.006 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame,

023.007 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;-

023.008 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants;

023.009 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;-

Islam is submission to Allah. Those who submit them to Allah are followers of Islam and they be
called as Muslims.

A Muslim should believe
1. Allah (One and Only Almighty)
2. Angels of Allah
3. Religions of Allah
4. Messengers of Allah
5. Last day of Allah
6. Fate/Destiny and Judgment of Allah

To become a Muslim:

One has to recite by heart and mouth the Kalimath " No Ilaah (god) but Allah"
Then 2. Salaah ( Establish prayer Five time a day
3. Fasting one month on Month of Ramadan
4. Pay Poor Tax (Zakkath)
5. At least visit to Kaahba (Hajj and Umrah) once in life if entitle.

Those are basic to be a Muslim.

The iftar meal is announced every evening by striking the bedug, a giant drum, in the mosque. Common greetings during Ramadan are "Ramadan Mubarak" or "Ramadan Kareem", which wish the recipient a blessed or generous Ramadan.

Ramadan: Is it true in Islam that..?

In Islam, we have concept of guardian who are generally nearest relative of a person. In Islam if a person is killed then and if the guardian of the killed agreed to pay blood money which should be a big amount and should be fixed by government as a part of law, then the person can be forgiven for the crime. However, if govt. feels that there is some alliance between the killer and guardian of the murdered then govt. may interfere in the process.
apparently you are finding it difficult to accept because you live a selfish and materialistic environment in which only money matters. In the Islamic society, hardly anybody would agree to take blood money to set the killer free.

Edit: honor killing is completely different issue. Most likely govt. will be party in that case. It seems you did not read second para. Sickness is in your mind because of which you are looking at the issue from completely different angle.

Ramadan:.........................

Salam. My most favourite surah is Al Fatihah because (1)it is the first surah of the Qur'an which is recited at least 17 times a day by all muslims around the world who make mandatory prayers.(2)it is the intoduction of the Qur'an which contains the essence of the whole Qur'an (3)this surah is very short which consists of 7 short verses included bismillah hirahman nir roheem. (4)it has the most meaningful verses iyya kana budu wa iyya kanasytain as a taukhid verse only to Allah we worship and to Allah we ask for help.(5) it is called also as the seventh verses which are repeatedly reciting. (6)it is the best du'a to Allah

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar, the month where Qur'an was revealed to prophet Mohammed PBUH. and Fasting during Ramadan is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. Fasting does not only exist in Islam, but rather other religions urges people to fast due to the tremendous health benefit of fasting. Muslims are commanded to fast during the month of Ramadan because of two main health reason:Spiritual health: Fasting, praying, and performing religious practices provides you with peace of mind and heart. Fasting makes you feel connected with your creator and therefore you will overcome all sort of anxieties and depressionPhysical health: Fasting is the time you give your body a break from all the junk we eat daily, and has countless benefits that range from loosing weight, lowering blood pressure, cholesterol, burning fat and so forth.Lessons learned from Ramadan: Compassion: you get to put yourself in the shoes of less fortunes and unprivileged. Patience, temptations resisting, building self control and willpower, controlling urges to name few.And Happy Ramadan to y’all !!!

Zero evidence in this thread, apart from the Shia post, which was informative, even if non-determinative for Sunnis.Despite what has been said here and elsewhere, there is a disagreement among the scholars as to whether inhaling smoke is (1) haram or not; (2) breaks the fast or not. Same question applies to vapour for those of us who vape - the question of whether inhaling vapor breaks the fast is also subject to disagreement.
