Who are the hypocrites of Islam?
Nifaq means a pretense of loving Islaam while concealing Kufr and evil. A hypocrite is given this appellation because he enters the religion from one door and he exits from another. Read the next ayaat: (09:67) , (04:142-145) , (02:09-10) You have two different types: the first is doctrinal hypocrisy,. which is major hypocrisy. This type has 6 kinds: 1) denying the Messenger (sall Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) 2 denying a part of what the Messenger was sent with. (like denying that he talked over djihad) 3.Hating the Messenger (sall Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) 4 Hating a part of what the Messenger (sall Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) was sent with. 5. Rejoicing over the decline of the deen of Muhammed (sall Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) 6 Resenting the prevalance of the deen of the Messenger (sall Allaahu alaihi wa sallam) The second type: which is practical hypocrisy. and is minor hypocrisy. The Messenger of Allaah said: “There are four (characteristics), whoever has all of them is a complete hypocrite, and whoever has some of them has some element of hypocrisy, unless he gives it up: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a treaty, he betrays it; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; when he quarrels, he resorts to insults.” (Narrated by Muslim, 53) The differences between Major and Minor Hypocrisy... 1) major constitutes apostasy, while minor does not. 2) Major signifies dissimilarity between the inner and outer beliefs, while minor between private (at home) and public actions (at the mosque example), not beliefs (Tawheed/ shahada) 3) Major does not belong to a believer, while minor may belong to a believer (1 of the 4 traits) 4) A person that upholds major, doesn't usaully repent. A muslim with minor repents and will be forgiven. insha Allaah.

salam alaykum wa rahmatu Allah wa barakatuh, yes,listening to music is haram http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/5000/musi… how can you stop listening to it? 1/first, tell yourself that many people are deaf, and if you can hear, it's a blessing from Allah (swt), so if I want to thank my Lord, I won't listen to what he forbidded. 2/would you be happy if you die when listening to music? so anytime, you want to do it, tell yourself, no I can't meet my Lord the day of resurrection listening to music 3/anytime you decide to do something haram, remember that Allah swt sees you and hears you, would you accept that he hears you listening to something haram? 4/anytime you decide to listen to music, tell yourself: isn't listening to Quran better? 5/throw all the CDs and delete all the files that contain music in your pc, be positive, sincre and Allah swt will help you 6/remember that in one's heart music and Quran cannot be together, so what do you prefer, do you want that your heart be like a stone when praying and that you cannot find your tears and the beauty of worshipping when making your salat and dhikr? 7/imagine that the prophet muhammad (pbuh) is your guest, would you accept that he sees you listening to music? How do these Islamic Sins compare to the Christian counterparts?
In Islam there is Seven Sins or disease of soul: Hypocrisy (nifaq) Self-admiration (`ujb) Anger (ghadhab) Pretending Virtuousness (riya) Prejudice (`asabiyyah) Envy (hasad) Backbiting (gheebah) Judaism and Christianity have these seven: Γαστριμαργία (gastrimargia) gluttony. Πορνεία (porneia) prostitution, fornication. Φιλαργυρία (philargyria) avarice. Ὑπερηφανία (hyperēphania) hubris - in the Philokalia, this term is rendered as self-esteem. Λύπη (lypē) sadness - in the Philokalia, this term is rendered as envy, sadness at another's good fortune. Ὀργή (orgē) wrath. Κενοδοξία (kenodoxia) boasting. Ἀκηδία (akēdia) acedia - in the Philokalia, this term is rendered as dejection.
Muslims does this hadith means you have to force non-believers to except islam?
This fight means to keep truth up and falsehood down and not killing or force. And to keep truth and Allah (SWT) word up it can lead to (Kital) and killing. How can one force to except Allah (SWT) word as Allah (SWT) has given the free well to accept or reject. Surah 109. قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ Say: "O disbelievers!'' لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ "I worship not that which you worship.'' وَلَا أَنْتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ "Nor will you worship whom I worship.'' وَلَا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَا عَبَدْتُمْ "And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping.'' وَلَا أَنْتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ "Nor will you worship that which I worship.'' لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ "To you be your religion, and to me my religion.'' And accept of islam without true believe is no value in front of Allah (SWT). So one should believe truly by full understanding and will not by force. This hadeeth also advice to followers of Mohammed (SAS) that what ever Allah (SWT) has given or bless to us we should utilize for sake of Allah (SWT) e.g some have good understanding and knowledge, some are more powerful, some may be wealth. So all we should utilize to keep Allah (SWT) word up. And if not the thing goes in very worst so at least one will stay firm on his deen and fight with evil.
Define a hypocrite?
hypocrite: 1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs. 2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements. example: when your brother is telling "why are you wearing that short shirt, go change", and you find him later that day with some girl with a tank top on and all her ******* is hanging out. like when your mother is telling you that you should not tell lies and she her self tells lies when your dad smokes like a pack a day and he is telling his son that smoking is bad for you. when you find out about those petaphile priests that rape little boys, and they preach about their beliefs and values. there is only different steps to being a hypocrite. Allah, swt, will deal with them on judgement day because they try to hide and wear masks when they are in public but they are black on the inside.

Tell your friend that difference of opinion is the human nature which cannot be avoided. Difference of opinion may bring you closer to the truth! All the three Abrahamic religions; Judaism, Christianity and Islam are no exception hence the three faiths have many sects and cults therein and all of them claim to be on right path. What is the Right path? Obviously the Massage and the Messenger is the right way to understand any faith or religion. In Islam it should be the Holy Quran, Prophet Muhammad (saw) and his practices. Sunni faith depends on the Holy Quran, follow-up of the prophet and his Companions. After the death of prophet his close friends (companions) defended Islam from in-side and out-side threats. During the life time of Muhammad the Islam was in a surviving situation within the Arabian Desert but his Companions who were the real followers of the Message and the Messenger promoted Islam up to the highest limits – they reached up to the most civilized societies of the world by conquering Iran, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Yemen etc. The companions of Muhammad were the real defenders of Islam. Now if you apply the same criteria on Shiaism you may find : -Rejection of Holy Quran – the main source! -Degrading of prophet hood as against the so called Imamt which is unfounded in Quran. -Abusing the companions and blaming them of Kuffer. -Abusing and blaming the real Ahlul Bayt – the wives of prophet. -Projecting Imamat in one family while none of their Imam could defend Islam nor conquered any land for Islam. Sister Aiysha has pointed out some Shia belief which may help in the evaluation of right path.. Why Muslims (Sunni & Shia) fight each other? I don’t agree! Your friend must realize the difference of Fight and Dialogue on religious matters. I believe, on yahoo forum, Sunni and shia try to convince each other on their perspective. However on certain occasions both exceed the limits of arguments which cannot be appreciated. Such controversial discussions help new Muslims to understand the differences of faith.
