Ramadan What Advices Can You All Give Abdul Malik On Here

Ramadan: How do you deal with fighting parents?

Hi:

As much as I like YLHG, I respectfully disagree. Unless one of your parents is being abused, you should not get in the middle. They are adults and their relationship is separate from the one they share with you.

How old you are matters in this case, but I'm going to guess around 14ish. If that is the case, I would still say you shouldn't get in the middle, even if it does get physical.

Do you have a good relationship with your folks when their not fighting?

Since you say you've already tried to talk to them, that's about the maximum you can do. You could advise them that if it does get physical you will call the police next time, and even for something small.

Do you have any other family you could stay with, even short term? If so, you could talk to them, and see if they could keep you for a week or two. Then you tell your parents you're going to be there for such and such time, because you really can't take the yelling, it's affecting your health, your studies, your happiness and you hope they can resolve things.

My parents used to fight so much, it was awful, but trying to talk to them did nothing. Finally, I spent a summer at my friend's place. My parents divorced soon after (not because of me). Although divorce isn't normally what we want for our parents, they were both happier afterwards and better parents.

If you can't talk to them and you can't get away for a bit, then all you can do is try to get involved in things outside of the home, and pray. You can e-mail me anytime (if you like) if you need someone to talk to.

I know this is painful, but you do have to keep in mind that while our parents are major players in our lives, their relationship to each other is very different from the one they have with us.

Ramadan: Why are so many of you judging me?

I get 9 thumbs up for this answer yet people are still playing God and judging me and refusing to take me seriously.

Ok heres the deal, I'm not being Muslim for you, I'm doing it for me and God, and although it would be nice if I was accepted and taken seriously, I don't need your approval anymore, I'm over that, God has given me the strength to be Muslim even if nobody on earth takes me seriously.

I'm SORRY for what I did in the past and I feel shameful enough for it as it is, but this is me taking Islam seriously, and so many of you are not taking me seriously.

Of course I'm still getting a sex change, but thats between me and God and has nothing to do with you watsoever

And thank you Abdulmalik, that actually means a lot that you would accept me into Islam.

What are some tips/advice for those fasting in Ramadan?

My biggest advice:Drink a lot in the morning - I don't miss the food as much as I miss the water. So the biggest thing I have found is to drink a lot and eat food that has a lot of juice in it (oranges, apples, etc) in the morning.Try to stay busy or sleeping - while you are busy or sleeping, you are not thinking about eating or drinking.Don't try dieting -  I see a lot of questions about dieting or just starting working out during Ramadan, I highly recommend against doing this. If you are really into dieting, you are already taking in less calories (assuming you don't gorge pre-fajr or iftar), so dieting is a non-issue, just make sure you are getting enough nutrients. And starting working out is a definite no, if you are working out correctly you will sweat, and sweating will make fasting harder, if not impossible (dehydration). So please, if you do not know what you are doing do not try this!Don't gorge at iftar - you will be in pain, and you will look uncivilized.Read Qur'an - We constantly focus on the physical aspects of Ramadan, but that is only half of it. The not eating is supposed to help you grow closer to your deen and be able to empathize better. So this is the ideal time to take Allah(SWT) instruction better.Do Better! - It doesn't have to be anything big like achieving world peace; maybe you are not praying all each salat, maybe you haven't made dua' in a while. Ramadan is the time to do better so at least try, Allah (SWT) promises that every effort and intention (for good) will be rewarded, so you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

[ramadan] Do you have to repeat your wudhu if you laugh out loud while doing salah..?

Your laughter doesn't break the wudhu but invalidates your Salat. Repeat your Salat with serious concentration. Here is how you do salats with concentration:

First of all you not only memorize the Arabic text of Surahs from Quran what you are recite during your Salat YOU MUST also learn meanings of Saurah Al-Fatiha in which you talk to Allah. So you talk to Allah from the bottom of your heart with full understanding of what you are saying to Allah. Same way you must understand true meanings of Ayahs of Quran which means you understand what Allah is saying to you also.

Secondly when you perform Salat by yourself alone in your closed room, raise your voice so you can hear yourself. It will block other thoughts coming into your mind during your Salat, This will help you concentrate in your recitation of Quranic Ayahs and you will be conscious of what you are saying to Allah.

If you can do this you will notice that hair on your hands and body will rise, some times a wave flows from head down towards your feet, some times your body will shiver a little understanding the meanings of what you recite. Best thing that you will experience is that tears start coming from your eyes. Believe me then you have established contact with Allah and He is close to you, hearing you and accepting your slat with smile.

If this happens to you even once a week you are doing good and Allah may reward you Jannah as long as you stay away from sinning of any kind.

Remember Allah forgives your minor sins with every Salat you

How do I stay fit (and ripped) after fasting all day during Ramadan?

Fasting for 13 hours is actually not that bad and many people actually intentionally fast for 16 to 20 hours to get ripped and fit. Here is what you can do with regard to training/nutrition:1 hour before the fast is over is the best time for you to strength train and perform HIIT cardio. You can try to squeeze in a full body strength training such as shown below for 30 to 40 min 1 hour before the fast breaks:then add a 10 to 20 min HIIT cardio such as shown below after your strength training (repeat twice if you want 20 min long):Once you are done with the training then you are ready to eat your post workout meal. Eat the biggest meal of the day when you first break your fast to help stimulate muscle growth.Don’t go crazy with your meals during your fasting window. Make sure that your total calorie and macros fit into your goals (bulking, cutting, or maintaining). As long as you monitor your calories/macros and you workout right before you break the fast, you should be able to actually get more ripped due to the increased insulin sensitivity and increased growth hormone during fasted training.Cheers! For more HIIT cardio/strength training workouts:Strength training:Resistance Band WorkoutsDumbbell & Barbell Workouts & TutorialsHIIT Cardio:Tabata Workouts - YouTubeOutdoor WorkoutsBody Weight Only Quick Fat Loss Workouts20 to 40 min Intense WorkoutsYou can strength train 3 times per week or upper/lower 4 times a week or specific muscle group 4 to 5 days per week.
