Why can’t I live with the man I am not married to during Ramadan?

Can we have marriages during the Islamic month of Ramadan?

According to Islamic jurisprudence, there is no objection in doing this. The basic principle is that an action is permissible, unlessthere are declarations in the Quran and the Sunnah to suggest otherwiseor there is a consensus among the scholars against it.

If you get married during Ramadan fasting time, can you kiss the bride?

I dont think its “populare” to get married during ramadan. What are you going to serve ur guests? Fresh air? :pIts a month of religious practice, fasting, praying, make good deeds ect.I personally have never heard or met anyone get married during the holy month of ramadan

Why don’t Muslims in Kerala speak Urdu?

Keralite Muslims are different to the rest of Indian Muslims. In North Hindustani languages like Urdu and Hindi is common and widespread. But in South its the dravidan languages that are popular. So that is one reason why most of the people in Kerala Muslims Hindus and Christians must have not even once heard this great language in the north of the subcontinent.Another important factor is the origin of Kerala Muslims esp Moplah Muslims. Mappila is actually a community from the pre Islamic era. They originate from the Arabic traders who visited Kerala and then settled down, married locally. Thus this community was born adapting the clothing, cuisines and language. They were the first community to become Islamised in India and this happened around the time Arabian peninsula became Islamised. So the Muslim Mappila community existed centuries before the start Muslim Invasion of North India. Since Kerala had a direct Arabic contact from before this millinium there was no need for Urdu or another language to access the scriptures, there was also no Persian influence because of the direct contact with Arabs as far the religion is concerned. Also there was no migration or invasion from North Indian Muslim empires on Malabar. Urdu or Hindi was NEVER AN OFFICIALLY USED LANGUAGE in Malabar through out the History till Brits left. In North the British adopted Pershian/Urdu widely just like Hindi and was used in many official things including language of courts and language used by the Police. That was not the case in Kerala. To cut a long story short Muslims in Kerala do not speak Urdu for the same reason as why the Hindus in Kerala and Tamil Nadu don’t speak Hindi or Bengali or any of the languages written in that script. Also I believe the same can be said of Bengali Muslims and Muslims in Bangladesh.
