Rappers What Am I Actually Trying To Study/observe When Trying To Learn From Rappers

How do I start off as a up coming rapper?

Like Em said, You gotta live it to feel itYou didn't, you wouldn't get it.(from the song 8mile).You have to feel the beat. And you have to express your feel through your rhythm and flow. If you are successful in expressing what you feel, then in my opinion, you'll be remembered by people for a longer time. Because, different people understand different things differently. And if you're successful in expressing your understanding and feel(you gotta be true to yourselves), people will definitely listen to ya.But how do you do this? You have to be technically very strong. You must have a huge vocabulary. You must have great rhyming techniques. For example: the words hour, sour, power, flour are one syllable rhymes. But you can also rhyme those with now or which is a two syllable rhyme and quite unexpected.(This is not the greatest technique. You should be able to invent great rhyme schemes). The next important thing is flow. You start with just mumbling gibberish with some beats and then try to write rhymes within the same beat and substitute those instead of gibberish. See, rap is not a rocket science. You just need to have some music sense. And you need not sit for 16 hours per day. You can rap when you are doing daily activities like bathing or cooking (if you do). If you are very serious about rapping and you want to make it as a career then you must make your time to explore this art. Watch documentaries, learn from online rap tutors take part in rap battles. Happy rapping.

What is something you like to observe, but not participate in?

and something you like to participate in, but not observe?

For example, I love music. I’m not the guy who knows all the cool bands and such but I like all varieties of music from classical, to rap, to heavy metal, funk, blues, etc. However, I hate trying to play it. I tried to learn guitar and just found it difficult, tedious and boring.

On the other hand, I love to cook, but hate foodies, food shows, and don’t care for taking classes or becoming involved in anyway whatsoever in the culinary community.

How Do You Study A Rapper?

I'm A 17 Year Old Rapper & I Know That I Seriously Have The Potential To Make It As A Successful Rapper. & I Hear All Of My Favorite Rappers Say That They Studied The Greats What Do They Mean By That? Besides Studying Their Flows.

What is the best way to learn how to rap? I'm not that good at rapping. I usually make my own freestyles when ever I’m in the car. I also did a lot of research online and found some valuable information. But I still want to become better.

BREATH CONTROL IS KEY. yur freezing up cuz u run out of breathe. rapping fast comes with time and practice. listen to rappers like rakim, nas, big pun, notorious b.i.g, wu tang clan, big l, bone thugs and harmony, etc.. and pay attention for when they breathe, how they maintain their flow and their vocabulary. listen to acapella's to songs by the artists i stated, and listen to the actual song, then the instrumental right after and observe how the rapper flowed to the beat.Try to write a verse of 16 lines everyday on anything random, liek how you are feeling and eventually ur raps will begin to sound better and flow better. I recommend while you are still a beginner, try to keep each line between 7-12 syllables, but as you get better and you can rap faster you can break past that barrier and go for more.ALSO, never, ever steal another persons lines. another trick that i usually use to find a flow to a beat is, read any random paragraph (doesn't have to be a rap verse) in diff speeds and patterns to the beat. oh also as u get better try rhyming multiple times in one line (ex. Realize, that the prize, that resides in your eyes,), and using poetic devices such a similes, metaphors, alliterations, etc...Also here is something important you don't want to miss! This easy Rap System works even if you’ve tried before and got stuck…

Why did Nas start talking about aliens?

A lot of people put Nas down because of his "formal" lack of education but Nas has continued to educate himself in a way that a lot of other people don't. He is a really smart guy and keeps up with a lot more stuff than people know. I think everything thing he said has merit and he's put a lot of thought into it. Of course it is personal interpretation and very "touchy" and a lot of people don't want to hear it....but he's got his opinion and he wants to put it out there so that people can hear it. He wants to hear what others have to say about it. Maybe instead of the usual car, hos, guns and money he'd rather talk about something with some substance? The guy has something on his mind and is just talking about it?
Makes you go hmmmmm? Kudos to Nas.
Peace & Love :)
