Good Scary Movies That Aren't Demonic?
I don't want ones about people being possessed or demons or anything like that. Maybe a slasher movie, but just something scary. Examples of movies I've seen are not that many but: The Hole and What Lies Beneath. The Hole is about these kids that when they look in this hole their worst fears come out such as, a creepy clown, a dead girl who acts like she wants to kill them, and an abusive father. Other things that come out are people with no heads and such. Nothing demonic but it was kinda stupid. What Lies Beneath is pretty popular but if you don't know what it is, it's about a lady who keeps seeing a ghost who kinda looks like her, and she gets possessed by the ghost, and finds out her husband killed that girl and her husband now wants to kill her. At the end, the corpse kills her husband and the lady survives. But yeah, I guess that kinda had possession but nothing like R rated or anything like the Conjuring.
What are some good horror/thriller movies that really scared the hell out of you?
The Mist from 2007. The interdimensional monsters were quite scary but the scariest moments was the social breakdown and fanatic lunacy that breaks out among the survivors.Sinister from 2012. Very unsettling moments and at least one very good jump scare.The Ring from 2002. Very beautifully done horror movie that draws you in and really makes you want to switch the lights on.Poltergeist from 1982. Some of the best jump scares I have ever seen in a horror movie. It took the ghost story from old dingy houses into a brand new suburb.
