Really Need Advice For Working Out

Tips on getting a job at McDonalds or KFC, really need advice!!!?

I worked at a KFC Express and it wasn't actually difficult at all. I was only sixteen when I was hired, and I would say that it was fairly easy. I filled out an application, went for an interview, started two days later. I was never given a drug test to work there, but I'm not in NC, and it could be different there; is it mandatory for them to state that they take drug tests in NC? Here, it is, so I would have known during the interview what they would require. I'm sure, even in your case, if a drug test is necessary, they will tell you during your interview.

I was asked very basic questions in my interview. How would I handle a disgruntled customer, how would I handle an employee who isn't doing their work, how would I handle a fire, and basic questions about their menu. Look up KFC online and study their menu, if you need to reference it in your interview and you know your stuff, you're more likely to be hired.

My first day of work I was put on everything; fryer, toaster, cash. I spend about two hours on each station just to get the basics done and overwith - everything was very easy. You put the fries in the deep fryer, push a button. You put the chicken in the deep fryer, push a button. You put the buns in the toaster and wait for them to come through the other side. You ring everything into the computerized till; by far the easiest till I've ever used.

You getting the hours you requested is based solely on the store you applied at. If they have openings on those shifts, you'll probably get them. If they are already full, you'll be moved to another time slot.

Based on NC's minimum wage at $7.25.
35 hours every two weeks = 70
70 hours x $7.25 = $507.50

Federal Income Tax - $47.66
Social Security - $21.32
Medicare - $7.36
State Income Tax - $24.00

Your take-home would be: $407.17

I need some advice on anorexia?

Okay, well the worst thing you can tell her is to "just eat." It sounds like you're a very nice guy and very sensitive so you probably wouldn't say that, but just FYI, please don't. It would really hurt her feelings and make her feel like a failure. Anorexia is not as simple as just eating. She is trying to control another issue in her life with lack of food.

You said you try to make her to to appointments for this. Do you mean appointments with a therapist? If so, that is awesome! Keep it up! Keep talking to her. Just don't let her shut you out. Is there any way you can go into the appointments with her? Make sure she likes the therapist she is seeing and that she's being honest. Otherwise it's just a waste of time and you need to keep looking.

Do her parents or her family know about this, or are you the only one? If she knows the rest of her loved ones are concerned, it might be extra help for you, and extra motivation for her to get better. But talk about it with her first...and with her therapist, if applicable. This is a tough position for you to be in and she is very lucky to have you. Good luck to you and don't give up!

I really want to start working out. Where do I start?

Hire a personal trainer!It's not terribly expensive and probably worth more than what it costs. Most gyms have trainers available or can recommend one. There are trainers who devote their lives to fitness coaching and many have a four year degree in fitness and health. So, they know what they're doing. The difference between having some basic training and trying to do it yourself is a total deal breaker. You'll only need 3-5 sessions with your trainer. The first session will be an assessment and discussion, then the trainer will design a custom program tailored to your current fitness level. The custom program will minimize your chances of injury and hasten your overall progress. In subsequent sessions, she'll show you how to do the warmup routine and use the weights and machines for best results. Once you get the hang of the routine you'll feel more confident, focused and intentional in your workout.Not only will you learn a lot, but you'll make a new friend (your trainer) and have a resource person for questions or problems. If you can stay at it for at least a year, you will be amazed at the difference it will make in your life! You'll look better, feel better, have more energy and an increased life expectancy. The second trick is to stay very disciplined for the first three months. Have a regular schedule for 3-5 hours a week at the gym and make it a top priority. Once you get into the habit it becomes almost automatic and possibly the thing you look forward to most in your weekly routine.Good luck and have fun!

Do I really need a rest day from working out? Please see the comment.

Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes. Take two rest days even. You get stronger while you recover.Take a rest day in between each training day and then take every fourth week as either a de-load week (doing your normal workout but at 50% of the weight) or just take the week off entirely.Every successful power lifter, body builder, athlete, and coach days take rest days so it's safe to say that they know what they are taking about.

Please I really need your help.?

Wow, your teacher really needs to update their question set. Floppies have been obsolete for a decade. This problem is missing a key component - the storage capacities of the disks.

There are a couple of different sizes - the most common being the 5 1/4 inch and 3 1/2 inch models (the smaller ones hold more and are slightly more recent (still having been used in the 90's)

for the sake of this problem let's go with the smaller ones which hold more. The DD can hold 720K, the HD can hold 1.44 MB(1440K)

We will use H for the number of high density disks, and D for double density. We know that the total storage we want is going to be greater than 6480K. For the sake of ease, we will assume all units are in kilobytes here.

So:
1440H + 720D > 6840

We also want the total cost to be less than 6.00. Since it isn't stated in the problem, we will ignore sales tax.

1d + 1.25H < 6

I prefer to use substitution in double equations so:

d = 6 - 1.25H
1440H + 720(6 - 1.25H) = 6840

1440H + 4320 - 900H = 68400

540H = 2520
H = 4 2/3 D= 1 1/3

Since we can't have a fraction of a disk, and are dealing with inequalities, we can graph the two lines and find a point which is above 1440H + 720D = 6840 and below 1.25H 1D = 6, or we can pick one of the four pairs of integers surrounding that point [(4,1)(4,2)(5,1)(5,2)] and determine which one fits both equations:

(4,1):
1440(4) + 720(1) > 6840? 6480 >= 6480? Yes. But just barely.
1.25(4) + 1 < 6 6<=6 Yes, but just barely.

(4,2)
1440(4) + 720(2) > 6840? 7200 > 6840. Yes.
1.25(4) + (2) < 6? 7 < 6 No. Not the solution

(5,1)
1440(5) + 720(1) > 6840? 7920 > 6480 Yes.
1.25(5) + (1) < 6 7.25<6 No, not the solution

(5,2)
1440(5) + 720(2) > 6840? 8640 > 6480 Yes.
1.25(5) + 2 < 6 8.25 < 6 No, not the solution

So the pair we are looking for is 4 high density and 1 double density disk. The way that it worked out evenly, and the fact that 5 1/4's held a lot less (and thus would have no valid solution to the problem) indicates that this problem was probably designed with the 3 1/2's in mind.

What's the best nutritional advice for after working out?

I think Kent Fung provided good answer (Kent Fung's answer to What's the best nutritional advice for after working out?) - If you don't work out like a pro, it doesn't really matter that much.The only thing I would repeat is "drink lot of water" - this is greatly underestimated by most of people. How to know if you drink enough ? Just make a "pee clear" test - if it's not clear, you can/should drink more water.

Chemistry help A.S.A.P please and I need working out so I can understand?

Single replacement reaction.....

Magnesium is oxidized by passing superheated steam over the metal.

Mg(s) + H2O(g) --> MgO(s) + H2(g)
1.00g ...................... ?g

1.00g Mg x (1 mol Mg / 24.3g Mg) x (1 mol MgO / 1 mol Mg) x (40.3g MgO / 1 mol MgO) = 1.66g MgO

I really want to start working out seriously but I don’t know where to start. Where do I begin?

Build muscle! If you build enough muscle you won’t even have to worry about losing fat. focus on getting as big and strong as you can. When you have gained about 50 lbs of muscle, then you can consider some kind of diet plan to lose some fat if your’e so inclined.Don’t waste time “bulking” for 3 months, then “cutting” for 3 months, over and over. That’ sjust holding yourself back. Build muscle for as long as you need to until you’ve put on about 50 lbs. Cutting is easy, and every skinny kid has abs. Abs arent impressive since everyone has them under whatever fat they’re holding. Muscle on the other hand is much more impressive since only a few people have the patience and will power to stay the course to build something impressive.

I really need help. I'm addicted to touching myself and I know it's not good for me. Do you have any advice on how to stop?

This addiction is demaging me a lot. I'm not going to explain how exatly. I don't watch any erotic videos and don't even read wattpad. But I still have this addiction. Even a small thing triggers me. I want to be free from that. It's sad that in my country there is no support group for people with this addiction. And I'm ashamed to tell it to people I know so That's why I'm anonymous
