List of the most/extremely violent Anime ever created!?
Yeah, Elfen Lied was pretty violent but at least it was still good. I think the most violent (even when stylized) anime I've seen just wasn't very good. I saw one that was heavy on psychotic fight/death scenes and violent sex. I think it was called Ichi the Killer/Koroshiya but I've tried my best to forget it. There was also Ninja Resurrection, same deal --wish I never saw it. I haven't seen Legend of the Overfiend/Urotsukidoji but I hear it's the same kind of thing. To each his own. Hellsing is probably violent on the order of Vampire Hunter D and is actually a good story. In fact, you'd probably like most vampire anime because, well, vampires generally tend to hurt people. You might check out Vampire Princess Miyu, Blood: The Last Vampire, or Twilight of the Dark Master. Evangelion also has its violent moments. Narutaru is violent in the Elfen Lied way, but if you can get over the crappy ending you might like it (and don't let the first couple of episodes deceive you into thinking it's a happy-happy cute-cute anime because it's definitely not). Jin-Roh doesn't hold back on the violence either. I'd put it loosely in the Ghost in the Shell category, but more violent and not quite as engaging a story. I don't know any sites that do violent movies exclusively. You should poke around AnimeDB and AnimeNfo in sections like horror/vampires/dementia/demons, martial arts/action, and ninja/samurai/historical/war.
Why do people consider anime to be emo?
The people in my country says anime is nerdy, not emo. Hmm...maybe it's different for different cultures. Anyway I say because they don't know what anime is nor do they care and only know the popular dubs such as Naruto or Death Note so make that broad generalization based on the look of the characters without even taking the time to watch it themselves. Death Note is far more complex than they can understand if they would even bother to watch the anime or read the manga. They're too wrapped up in watching crappy reality shows like Jersey Shore or Survivor. There's a whole world of anime that they don't know about which ranges from magical girl to thriller to fantasy to adventure It's simple, just pure ignorance on their behalf
Why is anime and manga often associated with emo people?
Okay i realize that my question probably sounds offending but IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE! I just wanted to clear that up. im not saying that all emos like anime and all anime fans are emo. at my school, its seems that all of the "uncool" (not meant to offend either!) or emo people like anime or people who do like anime are considered weird. I am a big anime fan who has friends who arent uncool and dont care if i like anime. somebody please explain to me! >.<

Why do you think people get made fun of for watching anime?
People in the West think it's weird to be watching 'cartoons' any any age past 10. There's also the unfortunate stereotype of anime as a bunch of smut/adult cartoons for pervs. Yes, a fair share of anime is hentai, but it's not even the majority for crying out loud. And well, it's Japan. A lot of people think Japan is "weird" in general so anything from that must be "weird" too. But I must say, *some* anime fans take it a bit overboard with their fanboy/fangirl attitudes. Anime is just a very small portion of Japanese culture and *some* anime fans act like they're so knowledgeable about Japan just by consuming its entertainment. There's also the creepy fetishizing that gives the rest of us a bad name.
EMO-anime recommendation?
I'm not sure if you would call the anime I'm about to suggest as emo but they would definitely be considered dark. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni ( Currently watching and its hard to explain exactly but innovative, original and so refreshing. One of the first anime I've watched in over a year) Elfen Lied (considered a masterpiece and is very violent. One of the few anime out there that would be rated R.) Monster (Its long and unless you have the whole series you'll probably just lose interest but is highly rated and falls in the category of a psychological thriller) Claymore (This one might not be what you're looking for but it can be considered. This just started air in Japan in the last few months. Rated the best anime released so far this year.) Check out wikipedia for a detailed summary on each to see if you'll be interested in one. Also I watch all my anime in japanese from fansubs and just to let you know that's the only way to watch Claymore, Monster, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Elfen Lied has come out in english and I have read that Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will be released in english in the near future so if you don't know japanese or like reading subtitles that would be the way to go.

Why do all emo kids like anime?
I know that not ALL anime fans are emo or scene, but almost all of the ones I met are. And all of the emo kids that I have met like anime. My younger sister's friend even became emo when she got into anime. there's not so many emo anime fans in highschool, but when I was in middle school, pretty much all of them were emo. And all the emo ones act like weeaboos. Most of them annoy me.... no offense to any emo kids or anime fans.... But why are so many of them emo or scene weeaboo kids?
