Reasons For Banishment Fantasy Story

Reasons for banishment? (fantasy story)?

i am writing a fantasy story about an elven male who is the top archer and weapon smith in his clan but i need a reason for him to be banished from his home and clan something bad enough for his own family and clan to turn against him as well please help i have writers block

What is the difference between banish and vanish?

Vanish means disappear. It can be used figuratively (She noticed he had vanished from the room as soon as his mother entered it.) or literally (The sun vanished behind a black cloud.) or in magic stories where people have the ability to make themselves invisible.

Banish means to throw someone out of a particular area. Banishment (called "abjuring the realm" if you agreed to it voluntarily to avoid execution) was a common punishment in medieval England. Usually, returning to the country (or sometimes just local area) you had been banished from resulted in your being outlawed, which meant anyone could kill you without consequence.

Banishment is not so popular any more because nowadays it is easy to sneak into a country and easy to get lost in a populated area where nobody knows who anyone is.

I'm trying to remember fantasy stories about people corrupted by shadow creatures and/or demons. It feels like a common fantasy trope. What are some examples?

SPOILERSIn the series of Harry Dresden novels by Jim Butcher, Harry is constantly tempted by the Denarian Lasciel, and we are made to think several times that he has fallen under her charms.

Can anyone help me with my story plot?

Its a fantasy story alright?

Heres my summary:

Aeons ago Earth was tormented by creatures of darkness from hell. There was going to be a war between them and the humans. Then Arius (the Abyss General) the lord of demons took pity on humans and fought those creatures from hell.
(In my story demons arent part of hell, they are born from earth they are like vampires, werewolfs, avians, drows also including beasts like dragons, krakens, tainted spirits, tentacle monsters, humanoids etc.)
Arius banished them to a place underground unkown to anyone. called Poren.

The main patronogist is a boy whos the direct descendent of Arius. In that time Poren became Necropolis. Now necroplous is being opened. And all sorts of demons are approaching the boy since hes the only one who can stop the necroplois from being opened. He has the power to summon demons and has some demonic powers himself.
I thought it would be cool if demons called him 'my lord'.
So he'll make friends with wizards, warlocks and other people and do his deed.

So heres my quetions:

Do you like the plot?
What should be the time setting? Past or present?
Will people not read it because vampires are lesser creatures?
How old should the boy be?
Do you think it is too cheesy?

thankyou! sorry its long!

cheers!

Was God justifiable in banishing Adam out of the Garden?

Yes. The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is not merely to have moral discernment. Adam and the woman both had moral discernment, after all, they were given that from God in the form of the commandment not to eat of the tree.Adam knew his wife (knew of her existence), and he knew his wife (knew her on a personal level), but he also, ‘knew’ his wife (i.e. had sex with her). There are multiple dimensions to knowledge. To ‘know’ good and evil is to have experiential knowledge of evil, and to choose to self-define good and evil, as opposed to receiving definition of good and evil from divine revelation. The Tree of Life was actually a different tree. Upon alienating themselves from God through their disobedience, they had forfeited the right to eternal life, but more than that, to eat of the Tree of Life in a state of alienation to God is to live eternally alienated from the author of life. That is the definition of Hell.Instead, God promised a plan of redemption through the seed of the woman. Adam responded in faith by renaming his wife, “Eve” because it meant “mother of the living.”

If you can't banish a demon, can you perform other spells on it to weaken it?

If the LBRP didn’t work you can try to Supreme Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. Be warned though, it’s much longer and more difficult. It’s mainly aimed at experienced or veteran magicians. When you tried LBRP, did it work, but only temporarily? I assume that’s the case because it’s effects, though lasting, are not intended to be permanent. An option there might be to repeat every 2–3 days until the threat is gone. You may want to spread the pentagrams out to the four outermost walls of your home to cast the widest “net.”Another problem you might have is the banishing could be partially tied to the place you do it. In which case, the attacks may resume when you leave that location.Normally, it is only necessary to banish earth (as in LBRP) because that’s the plane we live on, so we are “sweeping clean” this section of the plane including you. However, the Supreme versions banishes all four elements, one banishing pentagram per wall or cardinal direction. This powerfully cleanses all types of beings from all types of planes.Tip: When you say the name of the archangel Micheal, be very sure you pronounce it mee-ky-el and not my-kel. He’s picky about that. He might respond the first few times, but after a while, he’ll start ignoring you, and your LBRP or other ritual won’t work well any more. He’s by far the most powerful angel, so you don’t want to antagonize him. All angels can be kind of condescending.

I don't recall a Lilith from any of the Christian stories. I only know this because I've read The Mortal Instruments series. Why is Lilith, the first wife of Adam, not mentioned in the Bible?

Well…If you were to read the bible (specifically genesis and the Adam and Eve story) as very simple conundrum arises. Adam and Eve are the first man and woman in the garden of Eden and all is fine until a Serpent (actually an even more ancient God in the form of a serpent… but that’s a story for another day) screws everything up and they are banished. After they are banished they have some kids (Cain and Abel) and they have kids and on and on and that’s where humanity comes from.Well… Who do Cain and Abel have kids with? The Answer according to the Talmud is that Eve wasn’t actually the first female and that Lilith was. Adam and Lilith had kids (only daughters) and these children are the humans that Cain and Abel have kids with to begin the human race. Lilith is not in the book of Genesis because Lilith went against Gods command that women are to be subservient to men (women are men’s helpers and that was why they were created). She thought that she should be equal to man because in the story rather than being formed from a piece of Adam, she was formed from the same material alongside Adam (basically she wanted to be on top during sex). So like Cain, she too was cursed and a new helper (Eve) was created from Adam so this man/woman relationship could be further established/defined.So… Why is Lilith not in the Bible?Well, in early Christianity there were numerous denominations just as there are today. Essentially these different denominations come from which apostle taught which people, since different people are different differences arise. Along comes the Council of Jerusalem to decide what is and is not going to be included in this new religion. The end result is that the teachings of Jesus should be independent from Judaism and thus Christianity was officially formed. Since They decided to be different from Judaism many Jewish customs (such as Circumcision which Jews do but Christians don’t) and Jewish References (The Talmud) were decided to be omitted in this new religion. On a secondary note a bunch of other changes to Christianity/Catholicism happened during the Council of Nicea as well. You may want to read up on that one too if you want to see what else was omitted from the bible. Also, I really do think this story is amusing and opens a lot of doors into potential Abrahamic mythology, apparently The Mortal Instruments decided to play with that a bit.
