Will my car insurance increase if my 16 year old gets a license?

For a simple answer, yes. Here’s why:When it comes to car insurance for young drivers, most parents take the easier, and far more common, approach of adding a teen to their policy. For one thing, it's likely to be cheaper. Insurers base premiums on several factors, including the experience and driving record of the policy holder. A 16-year-old won't have that, which means higher rates. Also, as Gusner points out, the teen won't be eligible for rate reductions the parent may qualify for, including multi-vehicle, multi-policy (where car and home policies are bundled) and loyalty discounts. Still, adding a 16-year-old driver to your policy still means a significant hike in your rates. Every situation is different, but to get a an idea of what you can expect to pay, Car Insurance - Compare Car Insurance Quotes and Save compared rates in 10 zip codes in each state. The family profile we used owned a 2014 Honda Accord driven by a 40-year old man buying full coverage. Then we added a 16-year old teen to the policy. Here's what happened:The average household's car insurance bill rose 152 percent.A teenage boy was more expensive. The average bill rose 176 percent, compared with 129 percent for teenage girls.Despite the high cost to insure a teen, comparing car insurance quotes will save you money. Each insurer uses its own method for calculating what you pay, so prices for the same policy can vary significantly. For example, when adding a 16-year-old girl to your policy in Sacramento, California ZIP 95829, you can save $4,706 by comparing rates. That’s the difference between the highest ($7,267) and the lowest ($2,559) rates among six insurers for the same neighborhood.Source: Car insurance for a 16-year-old | CarInsurance.com

How do I turn off my graphing calculator?

If you look above the [AC/On] button, there should be a coloured "Off" text. So, by logical reasoning, you'd have to press [Shift][AC/On] to turn it off.

If yours doesn't have any markings, refer to this picture to see what I'm talking about: http://edu.casio.com/products/graphic/fx...

Do you REALLY have to wait 8-12 months before G2 licence? (ONTARIO)?

Isnt there any way around this?! it is 12 months wait before you can take the G1 road test and get a G2 licence. But if you take a course it is 8months. Is there then anyways to cut down the 8 months?! lol

My parents won't let me date.. should I go behind their back?

Okay, before you just immediately answer "yes," or "no," here's a lot of the background info:

I've liked this guy from seventh to ninth grade. (i'm in 9th now. I'm 14, he just turned 15.) He liked me back in eighth grade... i just found out about that today.

Anyway, I really want to ask him out now. Like, I've been waiting forever, and I just don't want to wait anymore. I just wanna let him KNOW, and be able to spend time with him as a girlfriend...

But see, the thing is, with my parents, there's absolutely NO mention of dating EVER in the house. If it even COMES up, I swear I'll be kicked out of the house. They're EXTREMELY religious, EXTREMELY, to the point where they constantly explain to me "You realize you have to be a good girl with good values, in high school. You know that, because you're a respectable girl."

I'm like oh...my...gosh. I just say "Yes, I know." but ugh.

Thing is, I feel like I really, really, really like him. I've even dreamed about him. I can see he likes me back.

Should I go behind their backs? Again, trust me on this one, telling them will absolutely never work. By the way, I'm Indian, he's white... my parents are extremely conservative. No dating, not even Indian boys - but when I'm around 20 or older, I can "find myself a nice Indian husband." pshh, yeah. So not only is dating off limits, but so are white/black/hispanic/asian/any other race of guys.

This is so upsetting; he's the sweetest guy ever, and I really, really like him. What do I do?! If I secretly date, how would I do it? Neither of us can even drive yet.

How do you tell when a girl is jealous? (Girls only)?

There's a girl I like, she likes me, we're both good friends but she's in a relationship and i respect that, I want to meet someone else. Now there's another girl i like and i want to ask her out but i don't know how. Now, girl # 1, i don't know 100% if she likes, but I want to be sure. As I said I want to ask girl # 2 out and I don't know how, so I was going to ask girl # 1 for some advice to see if she's jealous(I know it sounds like I'm using girl # 2, that's not the case, I DO like her). Not what are the signs to jealousy? I want serious answers please.

I've failed my driving test twice. How can I prepare myself for a third-time success?

I have also failed the driving exam twice and people who nearly got me killed in their cars passed the first time. The first time, I was very enthusiastic because I was sure I will pass and I nearly ran over an old lady (was lucky that the examiner braked for me).The second time I failed the theoretical exam, which I was convinced it was a no brainer and passed it before without studying at all (in Romania, if you fail the practical examination, you have to take the theoretical one again). Third time, I passed with maximum score in both of them. So the moral of the story is not to be overconfident, practice a lot and pay a lot of attention. It's better to fail the exam, than kill someone because you are a bad driver.

Old fashioned parents!!?

Sit down with your parents and say it plain and simple. Don't be rude, don't get upset, and don't shout.
Say 'I just wanted to say, that I am nearly 16. When I am 16, I would like to make a few changes, it you will let me. I would like to be able to date boys. (prove you are grown-up enough to talk about it) I would be sensible, and I wouldn't go anything stupid, we have sex ed in school. I would like to have my phone to use to talk to my friends and/or boyfriend. I would be sensible, and I wouldn't use it all the time. I will still be your daughter at the end of this, and I do love you. I feel I am old enough to take responsiblity, and if I did ever make a mistake, I would learn. If you don't let me learn now, when I leave home, I'm going to be clueless. Please let me take the next step, you can talk about it if you want' Then leave them alone for a while so they can talk. Don't pester them for an answer, and if they still haven't spoken to you in.. say 3 days... casually bring it up at dinner, or when you are alone with the both of them e.g. Did you think about what I said the other day?'
They will see that you are grown-up enough to rationally talk about these things and accept it if (IF) they do say- you never know, if you are that grown-up, they might change there mind. PROVE YOUR GROWN UP. don't just say it and not mean it. If they can see a trait of them in you (which is what they want!) then they will love it.
Hope it goes well!
