Recommend Good Meaningful Movies If Possible Mention A Little Description About The Movie You

Does anyone know good meaningful movies that I can watch? Getting bored watching action-packed thrillers.?

Basically, I just need to watch something that makes you think a little bit about life, a movie that makes you look at things differently. I recently watched Garden State, so if you need an Outline I'm looking for a movie as awesome as that.

What are some good meaningful movies?

We all look for inspiration in different ways. Some people turn to religion; some turn to the self-help section at the local Barnes & Noble. So here is my list of Best Meaningful Movies1. 3 Idiots - This movie is rated the topmost among all movies by 355 reviewers. Two friends are searching for their long lost companion. They revisit their college days and recall the memories of their friend who inspired them to think differently, even as the rest of the world called them "idiots". You can also go through 3 Idiots Review.2. Princess Mononoke - Rated as 4.1 / 5 based on 477 reviews. On a journey to find the cure for a Tatarigami's curse, Ashitaka finds himself in the middle of a war between the forest gods and Tatara, a mining colony. In this quest he also meets San, the Mononoke Hime. For more information about Princess Mononoke you can also through various websites.3. Dangal - Former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his two wrestler daughters struggle towards glory at the Commonwealth Games in the face of societal oppression. You must go through Dangal Review before watching it!

Which movie do you think is most meaningful to you?

For me it is 3 Idiots !! literally changed my view of studies. It gives you big message which is "LEARN TO KNOW"One nice quote " Don't go beyond the success go beyond excellence success will definitely come behind you".Every scene in the movie boosts confidence and teaches every student How to study and enjoy the life.Being a south Indian, I was forced to be in the race for success. I joined in the so-called top colleges for best coaching in IIT. Somehow, I was the student who checks the name from the last of the result sheet. After watching that movie, my position doesn’t improve but my thought process has been changed. I never lost in any exam, either I learn new things or I’ll win. After my +2 I seriously studied for 5 months, tried to cover all the 2 years subjects. I never prepared for attempting an exam but for the pursuance of knowledge.I gave one of the top Engineering entrance exams of my time and got a seat in one of the top 15 Engineering colleges in India.

Deep, meaningful, and touching books about suicide and/or substance abuse?

I want something that will really make me think, or will maybe even change my life a little. I want to read some thing really deep and meaningful, touching and thought-provoking. About suicide/substance abuse, maybe with a little romance. The romance part isn't a necessity. Please nothing religious.

What are some books that would interest me?

I am an engineer by profession and a movie-buff. Watched quite a lot good and critically acclaimed movies of different genres and countries. I want to do something interesting and meaningful after watching a film rather than just watch and be finished with it. What are some suggestions?

I am like you and want to do something like you mentioned in question, here are some of the suggestions:-1. Start writing reviews on IMDb which can prove helpful to others.2. Start making movie lists about all the "movies like this-that" etc. e.g. movies like man from the earth, matrix etc. These can be very helpful to others. Most of the people in college used to ask me suggest me movies like __ and I did and it really felt good when they come back and say thanks for recommending that one, made my day.3. Make your website or blog and start writing about reviews, discussions or movie lists. 4.Start learning about cinematic art, in that way you will be able to even more appreciate the movie by its cinematography, editing, settings etc. 5. Maintain a list of all the movies you have watched if possible in order. (I've been following this for last 4 years and kept record of every single one i watched in order.)6.Start answering questions about movies on Quora.7. Be an active member on IMDb and involve yourself in message boards discussions about movies.8. Keep a record of all the great dialogues/quotes you ever came across and every thing you have ever learned in life from movies.9.Discuss a movie with another movie buff. some times those philosophical discussions end up too good.10.Last good thing you can do is make someone else a movie buff too. Make him believe that movies are an art form and not just for entertainment.
