How do I sleep with my retainer?
Don't worry- this is perfectly normal. Since it's new and you just got it, it will take some time getting used to. It's still in the process of adjusting and form fitting your teeth. Once it gets "broken in," it will be far less painful. Since you're probably transitioning from braces, it will just take a matter of time before you learn to be comfortable with it. Take it out when you eat, clean it well, and be careful where you put it so you don't lose it! Good luck :)
Can a retainer give you bad dreams?
I know it seems like a strange question, but i don't wear my retainer on a day to day basis, i occasionally wear it at night time. Recently i have been having a lot of bad dreams. A friend of mine had said, "every night i wear my retainer i have a bad dream". Then it dawned on me that my dreams seem occur when i am wearing my retainer. I have tried it a couple nights going a night with and a night with out and it seems to be true. Would wearing the retainer somehow have a connection to having these bad dreams, and if so what might it mean?

Unless this dream provoked fear or terror, I would suggest that it is a positive dream where your retainer, which you probably believe detracts from your attractiveness falls away, but you also mentioned the rest of your teeth falling out. Which suggests a deeper meaning. To most people teeth represent either attractiveness or permanancy. Is something there something in your life which has always been around, a situation, person, etc possibly not going to be around any longer? That would be my interpretation.

Ear piercings that have healed normally won’t close up so easily. There could be many reasons behind why your ears didn’t heal properly. If you’re really worried about it you could try surgical-grade stainless steel/titanium, or 14–16 karat gold. Costume/cheap earrings are the absolute worst idea, so don’t wear them!The next option is to let your piercings close up completely, then get new piercings with safe metal, and leave them it for at least 6 weeks without changing them. If you disturb them, you’ll probably end up with the same problem as before.The last option is what I’ve been doing; just toughing it out.
