Does IPL really clear Rosacea?

Well rosacea is untreatable by medication and if you treat it in a reasonable time then IPL can actually cure Rosacea or if left for several years may not be so effective but can definitely be helped.

Gels to put on your skin can have varying effects and it depends on the type of your skin etc. and a lot of them can actually just make matters worse so be careful when using creams and gels.

If IPL is done properly it will be done at a strength strong enough to get rid of the rosacea and also at a strength towards the maximum of your tolerance for it, which will be rather painful as each flash of light hits your skin and it will have a burning sensation for a little while afterwards and your skin will puff up for the next couple of days, mine did rather badly but after a few treatments i didn't have rosacea anymore.

Although its downside is its very expensive and you will have to wait around a month between sessions and need between 3 and 6 to see very good effects.

Rosacea? Flushing? Red Face? blah blah..help? (VICKS VAPOR RUB?!)?

Mandelic acid based skincare treatments are BY FAR the best product on the market for rosacea. NuCelle (http://www.nucelle.com) have the largest range, and have been clinically proven to be effective. Mandelic acid is gentle on your skin and suitable for all skin types. For best results, don't just use the serum, use the face wash, toner and moisturizer too. But be sure to protect your face from the sunlight and heat while you're treating your rosacea, as it will quicken the healing/restoring process. Mole removal healing time?

I have had two different types of procedures done.

1. Excised out with a scapel and stitched

2. Shaved off and bandaged- no cauterization

I *VASTLY* preferred the excision- it is a cut with a stitch or two instead of a big round scab, leaves a tiny line of a scar instead of a round depressed one, *AND* out of the 4 that I had shaved off, 3 of them have regained colour and started to regrow. Pissed me off because the Dr insisted on doing it that way though I asked for an excision (different Dr.).

Healing was fine w/ both, and both were super easy, but if this is on your face, insist on an excision. Otherwise you will have a round sunken scar the size of the mole. Better to have a hairline one IMO that is flush with your skin level.

Good luck!

What kind of foundation can I use to cover redness caused by rosacea?

Foundation alone won't be enough to cover the redness. You'll need a base with green undertones such as a primer or concealer. The color green neutralizes redness. I have the Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Palette in 5 Corrector Shades from missvixen.com, which I use to combat the red blotches on my face. A palette is great to work with because you can mix the colors to get the exact shade you want. I also have a green tinted primer that I wear sometimes. Use primers or concealers BEFORE applying your actual foundation. Another option is CC (color corrector) cream. As the name suggests, it can correct color problems with your skin, while moisturizing it at the same time. You can wear this alone as a foundation. Don't mistake a BB (blemish balm) cream with a CC cream! Both are highly different products for different purposes.

How do you get rid of a scar on your forehead?

Yes, I am that vain to get surgery to remove a scar. If the scar was my fault-as in if I did something stupid-then I took the risk. However I was sleeping when the cat jumped on my face. I couldn't have prevented it. I don't want it on my forehead. It's a big scar and I'm fair skinned.
