What are basic knowledge required to learn SAP?

Is it necessary to have JAVA knowledge for SAP learning?
I have extensive knowledge in several SAP modules. Here is my input AND numerous free online educational resources pertaining to SAP: SAP FI/CO = Financial Accounting/Controlling (high demand -- great for those with financial/accounting backgrounds) SAP FM = Funds Management (good demand -- ideal for those with budgetary expertise) SAP HCM = Human Capital Management (high demand -- designed for those with HR skill sets) SAP LO = Logistics (high demand -- geared toward those with logistical/materials management backgrounds) SAP SD = Sales & Distribution (good demand) SAP Basis = Infrastructure & Security/Authorizations (high demand) SAP ABAP = Programming Language exclusively for SAP (high demand) From what I understand, NIIT Institute is a great place to learn SAP. It is much easier finding an SAP-based job than many others. Personally, I work for an SAP customer. Do not rule that out as a possibility. SAP has thousands of customers, of which -- many may be hiring. You do not have to work for the actual SAP company. In short, SAP skills are very marketable and you are making the correct career decision! Congrats!
How many modules should I learn to get a job in SAP?
If you are looking at a job in SAP you need to have work experience and domain experience atleast in 2–3 modules if you are a technical consultant . Having worked in SAP we look for candidates who have knowledge on multiple modules . So if you an ABAPER we expect you to also know development on HANA as well as BASIS admin. The job roles in SAP are not limited to one function or one module hence having strong working knowledge on 2–3 modules will help
Career in SAP? (Suitable SAP Module for Network or System Engineer)?
I did my Graduate in Engineering (BE) and Working as networking engineer. I have 2.5 years experience in computer hardware and networking … Now I would like to change my career in SAP… Which SAP Module suites for my career and experience?? Many of them suggesting ABAP module… but ABAP is programming module… I don’t know anything about .net and Java… so without software knowledge, if I choose ABAP module, is it difficult to learn?
