St. Tropez makes a self-tanner remover. The spots are on her ankles and knees because the skin is thicker there. If she exfoliates the area well that should make it look a lot better. Just scrub really well! and in the future always exfoliate the entire body before applying self tanner and rub a small amount of regular lotion into elbows, knees, ankles, and feet before applying self tanner!

Lots of exfoliation will do the trick. Just hop in the shower and scrub all over with a pouf sponge and a salt or sugar scrub, that should help. I believe that St. Tropez also makes a self tanner remover. Try checking around a few stores like RiteAid, CVS, Target, etc. to see if they carry it.

I have a white ceramic Michael Kors watch, and I wore it while I had self tanner on. It ended up staining the watch. What can I use to remove the stain from the watch? I've tried rubbing alcohol, laundry detergent and hand soap with no luck. Thanks for your help!

I have very pale skin and I don't want to ruin my skin by the sun. I have tried other self-tanners before but they were a little streaky so I decided to buy a new one. I bought Banana Boat Sunless Summer Color in the light/medium shades and applied it according to the directions. The next day the color was nice but it was very, very streaky! I applied it Saturday night and it's now Monday afternoon. I am seeing my crush and friends tomorrow afternoon and I want to be streak-free by then. How can I totally remove the self-tanner without making it worse? I heard exfoliating helps, but what type of brush/cloth do you use and do you use an exfoliating body wash or something? Thanks!

I always have been thinking that my color was dusky just because I used to be all tanned. In Jaipur, we have almost 8 -9 months of summers. Scorching heat never let me show my true hue. I always have been driving two-wheeler and used to wrap myself all up like a mummy in scarves,gloves,socks,summer coat. Will a pumice stone remove my tan?
Every time I shower I use a pumice stone, But I just started going to a tanning place, and spending more time at the beach so that I could get a nice healthy tan for the summer, And I'm afraid if I start using the pumice stone on my skin again, it will remove the tan because pumice stone is supposed to remove dead skin. When you go to get a tan from a tanning bed, will it come off if you use a pumice stone? Also, when you get a tan, from either a tanning salon or from the beach, how deep is the tan? Does it just stay on the very top layer of your skin?
