Republicans Attacked Roosevelt And Whined About His

Why do the Republicans think war solves everything?

I think you are jumping the gun. Republicans don't want war, But when the US is dragged into a conflict, we can't ignore it.

The republicans will not take armed conflict off the table for any nation. Iraq was given many many chances. That war started 15+ years ago. When the UN refused to enforce its own resolutions, because the UN is corrupt (Not the UN itself, but the people and nations that are involved). We had to enforce it ourselves. Were there mistakes made, sure, but there are people in this country that say "NO WAR".

Iran, we haven't attacked them yet, even though they espouse the death of America and her allies.

Russia is pushing the envelope. They are finding out how far they can push before we retaliate. Should conflict be taken off the table for that.

War should never be first, but we have to be willing to stand up, or we will be the paper tiger that Osama said we are....

Also - we entered WWI under a democrat (Wilson), WWII under a Democrat (Roossevelt), Korea under a Democrat (Truman) Vietnam under a Democrat (Kennedy/Johnson)

Nice insult to Republicans (No Common Sense). Well I am well educated also. I was taught to learn from the mistakes of others as well. Appeasement never works, in all of history. Appeasement is a position of weaknesss. And as far as a game, People die in this one. and if we make a mistake, more people die. I feel for the families of the 4000 troops that have given loved ones for this battle. What about the 3000 citizens that didn't have anything to do with it. This war started long before President Bush. 2 world trade center bombins, embassies, uss cole, etc etc. When are people going to get it. It is not a nation we are fighting, it is an idealogy, a belief that if you are not muslim and pray to Allah, you are not worthy and must die. Osama Says it, Ahmadenjad says it, and a lot of others say it. Over there or Over here, your choice.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal helped America recover from the Great Depression?

Don't let the facts get in your way...

in April 1939, unemployment was over 20 percent. This was nearly a decade after the 1929 crash and more than 6 years after FDR's inauguration.

During that time, FDR tried everything to end the crisis: cartelizing industry (the NRA), subsidizing farmers (the AAA), creating make-work projects (the WPA), promoting organized labor (the Wagner Act), and finally, launching the modern welfare state (social security, minimum wage laws, the AFDC). It was all funded by a combination of increased debt, excise taxes, and high progressive income taxation.

Yet, unemployment stayed very high throughout the entire period, declining during FDR's first term, then rising in his second term. As late as June 1939, industrial production remained significantly below 1929 levels (81 vs. 100).

FAILURE!

Is Michael Phelps a Republican?

He uses dope... that makes him a liberal.

Why do democrats think socialism is so great?

Socialism is shared misery. They don't have to be miserable alone.

Why was Franklin D Roosevelt's presidency so controversial?

I understand that some of the factors of the New Deal was unconstitutional, and there was controversy about whether FDR provoked the Japanese to attack pearl harbor, but I need more things based around the Great Depression that was FDR's fault and was controversial to the American people?

Thanks a lot!

What exactly is a "flaming liberal" bros? does this imply degrees of liberalism?

So what degree of liberalism is acceptable if any? Room Temp, Lukewarm, Flaming, Scorching.
