Returning Amazon Items Through Usps

Returning item from amazon while its still shipping?

You can refuse the package once the item arrive by the mail carrier or mark return to sender on it if it's placed in your mailbox, but at that point you have no control how it's handled or delivered back. The seller could claim they never received it if he really wants to play hardball. You can assume the best. good luck. You could also just re-post the package to be safer with delivery confirmation so you have proof item was received on sellers end.

Tracking Amazon items that says "returning to seller"???

Ok so two days ago I ordered something on Amazon. I paid for the two day shipping and was told I would get the item today. So I've been tracking the item and the whole day today it said it was in transit. Ok so since it was 9pm and UPS never arrived, I just figured I wouldn't get it today.

I was a little upset that I didnt get it today mainly because I did pay extra for it. Anyways, just now I decided to track the item one last time and now the UPS website says "returning to seller". Does anyone know why they're doing this?! I've been home all day so I know they havent made any attempts to deliver. Even if they had, there's no reason why they should return it to the seller.

Anyone experienced this before?!

How long do Amazon returns take to ship?

So in my USPS tracking it says "Your item was picked up by the shipping agent at 6:27 am on March 02, 2011 in MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55414. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later." and it there hasn't been any new events for 5 days. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to ship?

Can you use a USPS mailbox to return Amazon items?

I know they say use a Post office to send Amazon items back but why not use a Mailbox? If the package is extremely small & light whats the problem

I wanna return a CD because it was defective. The mailbox is just around the corner from where i stay. Thought it would be more convenient.

Do they not get the package that way or something?

Can I use the same usps box to return something?

I ordered an item online and received it in a large usps flat rate box and I wasn't pleased with the item. I would like to return it so could I use the same box it came in? Or do I have to buy a new box? I've never shipped anything so I don't know how this works.
If anyone can explain I'd appreciate it ;)

Can I refuse a package from usps or ups and return it to amazon or ebay sender with a full refund?

No. You have to arrange for shipping it back and getting your refund.

What happens when an item shipped by Amazon gets returned to sender?

When Item gets returned to sender, you will receive refunds automatically for 100% of the money paid by you. In case you ordered via Cash on Delivery you may receive a cheque.Above is true only in case of courier returns means when item is never got delivered. But there are other refunds also when item got delivered and buyer raised some issue and then it is picked up for reverse shipping. In such scenario, item is inspected by the seller when he gets it back and then process refunds manually. Seller may come back to buyer in case of any discrepancies.

Why can't I use "any carrier" for my Amazon return?

Note: I work for Amazon but do not represent the company. This answer is based on my own limited experience, not company policy.I'm not sure what the authoritative answer is. The forced shipping method is likely driven by your location, the location of the receiving return center, the dollar value of the item being returned, the item's weight and dimensions, and a bunch of other factors that teams of people much smarter than me analyze for a living. That said, the end goal is to provide you with the best possible return experience, because Amazon wants you to keep shopping with them despite whatever is driving you to return in the first place. Your continued business is worth more than any savings from supply chain efficiencies.Rest assured, however, that it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's your error. I just checked on five random orders of my own from the past 30 days and each time I picked "Better price available" as my return option, to match your example. 2 of the 5 times, I was presented with the same two options: UPS drop off or UPS pick up. The other 3 times, I had the third option to ship the item back on my own. I didn't notice any pattern to the third option's availability--though, obviously, I'm not working with a big data set.Edit to add:I don't know if there's a workaround, but I'm betting if you contact customer service, they would let you choose another option. Head to Amazon.com Help and click "Contact Us" in the lower right. I'm personally a big fan of chat support because it's very quick.

Amazon return-Postage required?

Do you have a way to weigh it accurately to the ounce? If not, you'll need to take it to a post office.

If it weighs over 13 ounces, you need to go to the post office for it anyway, even if you have enough stamps to mail it.

You can calculate postage at the post office website, USPS.com

How does Amazon provide a return label without knowing the box size for an easy drop-off at UPS?

They are providing a label authorizing UPS to bill them at their agreed upon -- and discounted -- rates for the particular package size and weight and as a return. Tracked, measured, even API connected to trigger notifications and credits. This is almost certainly something your UPS (or FedEx) rep would help you in tailoring but they actually provide a web service for generating the labels on demand as explained at http://www.pressroom.ups.com/Fac.... Billing uses an account number / code found at the top of the label and is charged at delivery as well.
