Returning Clothes To George Asda

Why do people shop at Walmart for clothes?

Though I buy most of my clothes online, I've bought clothes at Wal-Mart in the past when:I'm there to get something else anyway and I am low on essentials - socks, undergarments, thermals, beanies, layering T-shirts, etc.I'm there to shop for a last-minute trip where the weather is different, so there's no time to go to a dedicated clothing store - shorts, sandals, graphic t-shirts, swimming trunks, etc.I'm there with someone else who has a list, so I have nothing else to do. But this is rare. I'll usually be browsing hardware or electronics instead.I've been tempted on occasion when a brand I've used before, like Wrangler or Levi's, is on discount, but closer inspection would often reveal a different type of fabric or differences in stitching/rivets from what I'm used to from that brand. So I stick to getting them online. In general I've found their price-quality ratio to be quite good if you compare regular-priced clothing there versus regular-priced clothing elsewhere. The store layout also has the section ideally located for impulse shopping, and the section itself includes options in every category you can imagine. So I'm not at all surprised that people buy there, especially if they are there for something else anyway. Many people I know, especially those with kids, live busy lives and prefer to spend time on activities other than dedicated trips to men's, women's and kids' clothing stores.

Job Center Interview Clothes?

1: Rumours are just Rumours, unless you hear it direct from your advisor. If you don't ask, you won't know the truth, so phone first thing Monday.

2: Why have you left it so late? You should have been preparing your work clothes before now. Even buying items from charity shops don't have to cost the earth!

3: You could have got clothing and suits from local groups such as Freecycle

4: Even IF the job centre give you a clothing allowance, it will not come through in time for Monday!

It took around 4 days when I got it!

A this point, you need to ask family and friends if you can borrow 1 or 2 items from them. If you have any money at all, or could borrow, go into a charity shop before your interview.

Make sure you shine any shoes you have, clean your nails and cut them nicely or file them. Even if the clothing is too big, you can iron and tuck in and hide away with a jacket. Cut any bits or strings hanging out of the clothes and make sure they are presentable.

There must be someone you can ask before tomorrow?

All very well having skills, but they DO and WILL look at your appearance! (a thank you note simply won't cut it, if you go dressed as a slob)

IF the worst comes to the worst, and you cannot get hold of any smart clothes, try and wear THE smartest cleanest thing you have at home.

Stay away from trainers. Even a black pair of jeans teemed with black shoes and a jacket can appear smart (ever gone clubbing or somewhere like that?) and if you are totally out of options, phone and explain to the company before you go in.

I have barely any money but I need new clothes. Any Suggestions for good clothes shops or alternatives?

Primark is good look through all the sale stuff
also charity shops - Sounds gross but you can find really nice things just make sure they smell okay - don't be ashamed cause i have found really nice things
BooHoo.co.uk - is really cheap and had really nice things which you could find similar to topshop

And George @ ASDA has cheap clothes and underwear

Anna - There is no forever21 in England ): but shes right They have great stuff on there not sure if they ship to England!

Should we boycott goods made in sweatshops?

Should US consumers not buy imported goods made under sub-standard working conditions?

Would this ultimately help the workers in other countries, or would it just take away their jobs?

What is your country's version of Wal-Mart?

I can comment from the view of the Southern metro of my countrySaravana stores in Chennai..Here you get stuff almost anything you want and quite in an affordable price. Many people who earn average and below average income buy even festival wear, marriage and function dresses and many other precious items too from here. So I can call this as a Walmart of Chennai. The area where it is located is called T Nagar and most of the shops here you can bargain and get items <50-70% than many other places of Chennai. There are huge variety, choice, items almost anything in the world available here in T. Nagar area and all shops here offer affordable items. So this is the walmart and local must visit area of the Indian Southern metro ChennaiA typical view of Saravana stores shop.
