How do i get my w2 from a former employer?

US Leader Restaurant Inc. is no longer does payroll for my former employer Taco Bell as of Nov. 2012. I was not informed of this. I worked for Taco Bell out of Winterpark, FL and have not received a W-2 from them. When I finally got someone to tell me what was going on, it was someone from a different county. When I went to H&R Block to try to get my W-2 off line. The gentlemen try to pull up my W-2 from my SS #. The IRS had no W-2 on my SS #. Im trying to get my W-2 from the US Leader Restaurant Inc. so I can file with my others. How do I get them? How can this company be reliable for these delays? Well I be in trouble if not filing on time? Please can someone help me find my W-2 and file on time.

As an employer, how do you make sure that the right candidate is going to be hired?

You don’t. But you can increase your chances by setting up a set of best-practice recruiting processes to increase your chances. Here are examples of a few:Instead of focusing on the job description, note down the impact you want the employee you are about to hire in the job description. Break down what you want this individual to achieve in 30 days, 3 months, 12 months.Make sure your employer branding is in order. More than 70% of people look at employer reviews on sites such as Glassdoor, before applying. Have a nice looking career site and promotion stories from existing employees.Get your company involved in the hiring process. Incentivise employees to source candidates in their networks and beyond. Use Conversational Recruiting Tools to further engage with passive candidates.Boost your job on social media towards the audiences you think you are looking forSend and boost your jobs on the right job-boardsEncourage diversityHave a structure-streamlined hiring process with the appropriate factors deciding who gets the jobOnboard them in a smooth-structured way to reduce the likelihood of early churn. Get them signed up for a buddy at the new workplace and treat them well with respect. Our company 50skills, helps employers do just this, by providing software that helps with every step of the process. There are a number of other providers out there as well, but whatever path you choose, it's much better than a spreadsheet.

Need to work from "home" but employer won't let me.?

My kid is in the hospital 110 miles away at Riley. It's going to be a while before she gets discharged, so I brought up the idea to my boss of working from Riley. I have a computer based job, so it should be simple. She won't allow it even though other departments have people that work at home. Her point is that it would create more work for her and others, but she also pointed out that we are "slow." To me these points contradict each other. She's suggesting that I work three 10-12 hour days in the middle of the week, but I'm still losing 8-10 hours this way. Not to mention the 60 dollars a week it would cost just to drive to and from Riley. We were already suffering financially and it just doesn't feel like my boss understands. There's practically no reason for me to drive up to work every week just to burn up nearly a day's pay on gas. I was just wondering if there are any programs I could apply for....any ideas at all. I'm just at my wit's end right now and extremely aggravated. I don't see any reason to not let me work from the hospital, especially when there are two other people that work at home in this company.

Can my employer fire me to refusing to join a white caucus?
