Ripping Pain In My Lower Abdomen

What causes pain in my lower abdomen when sneezing?

There are really too many unknowns to answer this question appropriately. A full history and physical would be needed to assess the situation. That being said I can share my personal experience with this phenomenon. As others has noted sneezing increases intra-abdominal pressure. I have had 3 C-sections so I have a fair amount of scar tissue in my lower abdomen. When I sneeze it sometimes hurts due to this. I imagine any abdominal discomfort such as constipattion, UTI, or scar tissue like mine could be irritated by the force of a sneeze.

Ripping pain in my lower abdomen?

You may be describing a peptic ulcer... specifically a stomach or duodenal ulcer. But here's the odd thing. If that's what caused your pain, it would actually likely be a coincidence to having eaten spicy food. Docs used to think spicy food caused peptic ulcers, but now they know it's due to bacteria instead. Doesn't mean ulcer symptoms can't begin right after eating spicy food even though the issue is really due to bacteria. An ulcer can cause a tearing sensation with burning pain that goes away. If it is that, the pain will likely return. Sorry. I hope not. You can read more about peptic ulcers by clicking this link:
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/peptic-...
(Note on these Mayo Clinic articles, there are a series of very brief webpages to check including symptoms, causes, treatment, etc.)

Now another possibility is an inguinal hernia. That represents tearing of the lining of the abdominal cavity and can cause lower abdominal pain. But if it was that, you might be noticing a bulge, or pain whenever you bend over or strain your abdominal muscles, or remember a specific incident that set it off like a coughing fit. Not necessarily, but good chance of some other things going on like this. If the pain is totally gone, and there are no other hernia symptoms, it may not be that either. You can read more about inguinal hernias here:

Those are the two relatively common issues that come to my mind when thinking of a tearing sensation and pain in the lower abdomen. Of course it could be something else altogether. If the symptoms return, you should probably go see a doctor and get them checked. Good luck. I hope it was a one-shot deal and the pain is gone for good--which it may indeed be if it was simple indigestion from the spicy food.

26.5 weeks pregnant..pain in my lower to upper back and abdomen? help?

You won't believe this, but I'm 26 weeks too and I just called my doctor about pretty much the SAME thing! I've been having lots of pressure in the top part of my belly and it radiates to my back. I've also been feeling really tired since Sunday. I thought it was really bad gas pains but it's pretty intense. My doctor also recommended the Tylenol and heating pad, but she also said to drink lots of water and to try to relax and put my feet up more often (I have a 20 month old and I've had a busy couple of days running around so I think I may have been overdoing it.)

Hope this helps!

Sharp pain in lower abdomen?

Well I'm no doctor, but it could be more than one thing.
If it's your appendix then it is a very serious issue and you must get it taken care of quickly! Don't worry, you still have time and nothing will happen to you instantly.
But if it were your appendix then the pain would increase, also it would be close to your belly button (the pain).

I suggest you look up "burst appendix symptoms" on google, you will find all the info you need.
And yes, this is a very important thing to handle quickly....
But again do not freak out. It's not the end of the world unless you sit around with it for days and it gets worse and worse.

Also, try googling "human organ pictures". You will see pictures of what organs are located where and you can match up the area of pain with the diagram to have some idea of what is bothering you.

The very best bet is to go to the doctors! Do that no matter what you find out or think!
Take care.

Burning pain in my lower back after falling down stairs?

About a week ago I slipped down some stairs. I landed straight on my lower back and right hip. Doctor said I sprained my lower back and spine and had a deep contusion on my hip. Everything is healed and I feel great except for this burning pain in my lower back. It feels like someone it ripping a muscle or something opened and setting it on fire. It is very painful and seems to get worse when heat is applied. Does anyone know what this could be

38 weeks pregnant...stabbing pain in my lower abdomen / groin area?

I'm 38 weeks along- I keep getting this horrible stabbing pain in my lower abdomen / groin area, towards my left side. Feels like my baby is stabbing me! It's the worse when I'm in bed (of course I am on bed rest already for high blood pressure so I can't get any relief). It sort of feels like round ligament pain x 100 (but down lower). Any ideas? I'm sure it's just my body getting ready to have this baby but it sure does hurt! I've had Braxton Hicks / "false labor" pains before this. It's not a cramping or contraction feeling. It's a sharp pain and not regular at all- just happens randomly, mostly when I'm laying in bed

Abdominal and pelvic pain after eating?

Sometimes when i eat large meals, i get this terrible ripping shooting pain feeling all throughout my abdomenopelvic region. It gets so bad I can hardly walk, sometimes I can't stand up or sit down. It usually comes along with clear vaginal discharge and some sharp vaginal pain, but I know the target of the pain is in my intestines. It usually lasts about 2-3 days after a large meal.
This hasn't been an issue for me lately, but I used to get it at least once every 3 weeks.

I have it again right now, and its such terrible pain I can't even roll over in my own bed without feeling like my guts are going to be ripped out. I'm only a 17 year old girl, I shouldn't be falling apart like this yet should I?
Can you tell me what this is?
