Road Test Questions. Only Answer If You Have Been To One.

Hey - TIPS FOR ROAD TEST??

Do you know where you lost points? If so, have your parent go with you on several drives to practice those areas. For example, if it was parallel parking that caused a problem, drive around and parallel park multiple times until you can do it easily.

Also, make sure you come to a full and complete stop at all stop signs, stopping before the front end of you car passes the stop sign. Watch your speed limit, turn signals, etc.

I would suggest going back to the area where you did your driving test, with your parent, and drive the route several times. This will get you more comfortable with the area that is used for your driving test so that you will be better prepared next time. (Most driving examiners use the same areas for most of their road tests, so chances are, if you get the same examiner, you will be driving the same or a very similar route.)

You just need to practice, and then, when you are on your road test, relax and be confident in your abilities.

Question about back up camera on NYS road test?

My parents own a Nissan Armada, which I was intending on taking my road test in next month. The only problem is, as a safety feature there's a "beeping" feature, which beeps when you become within 3 ft/2ft/1ft of an object. Also, when you put the car in reverse the back up camera automatically comes up on the dashboard, and I do not believe it can be turned off. This is the only car I am able to use and it is the one I am most comfortable in. (Which is funny, because the things like driving a boat. It's huge.)

Anyway, will the examiners not let me take the test because of this?

Road Test Questions (I'm taking it in wantagh ny)But anyone can answer!PLEASE HELP?

Before you take your test, have your teacher/instructor take you to the Wantagh office and then follow a road test in progress...See where it goes, what maneuvers are performed...This way, when you take your test, you'll have an idea of what to expect.

Step 1. Relax - you know how to drive; you know what the rules are...Just follow the rules and pay attention to the conditions that you're driving under.

Step 2. An automatic failure is any traffic law violation...A biggie is 'failure to yield' - like to pedestrians and emergency vehicles...Not stopping for a school bus flashing its lights.

Parallel parking should not be an automatic failure - points deducted, yes, but automatic failure, no.

Be smooth in acceleration and braking...Give yourself plenty of room to do both.

Get in the correct lane when the examiner tells you to make a turn - even if it means waiting in traffic.

Remember - the examiner will not trick you or tell you to do anything illegal...Just keep your eyes moving - front, sides, mirrors, instruments...Don't look at the examiner or speak unless you have a question and to say 'yes sir' and yes, ma'am...If you drove the road course in advance, there shouldn't be any questions.

Take your time, relax and all the best...You can do this - P.O.C.

How many times did you fail your road test?

You remind me of myself... Never touched a car before, scared as h.ell
I was so sure I was gonna fail...Everyone I know had failed on their first try... My best friend had failed her first time, and I considered her to be a better driver than me...

But I ended up getting it right on my first try! I myself don't even know how I did it...

My advice to you: try not to stress out to much... If you succeed, good for you.. If you don't, it's not the end of the world, you'll do it again and it's all gonna be alright!!

My instructor told me this one thing on my first lesson that (surprisingly) really made me feel better... he said "If millions of stupid people are driving a car, you can too(!)"

Oh and check out for those dead angles, they really are a ******

Good luck dear!!!

I need to rent a car to take my daughter to college and I want to know if you pass the road test, do you get your license the same day. I've been driving for years...but I'm a chicken and hate taking test...I have my road test tomorrow...and I'm all shook up. (Philadelphia)

Can you drive by yourself to your road test?

I have a scheduled appointment for my road test next week. Even though I know I can only drive with a licensed driver I have been driving for almost 2 years by myself. No one I know with a license seems to be available to go with me. Will they still let me take the test if I show up by myself or should I reschedule. I live in Suffolk County NY

Parallel parking for road test?

I think parallel parking is the hardest thing to do correctly the first time. If you fail any part of the test, you have failed the test. You might get lucky and have an understanding person giving you the test. I got parallel parking right, but failed the three point turn because of the size of the car. It was huge. It boggles my mind that he failed me on that when I parallel parked that monster perfectly. Practice what you know you are weak at until you have it down pat. You don't need to be driving if you don't have the skills. It's dangerous for you and others.
