Rocksmith 2014 custom DLC?
I just got RS2014 a few weeks ago, and just heard that it's possible to add custom DLC. (I know, behind the curve, haha!). Can anyone help guide me in the correct direction as to how to go about adding custom songs? The information I've found throughout google isn't entirely helpful, or it's for PC. I'm on ps3. Thanks for looking, and thanks in advance for your help!
Rocksmith 2014 edition,lol.Have I been screwed?
I recently bought Rocksmith 2014 & I can't get it to work.My OS is Vista,a TB of hard drive,& 4 GB of ram. This thing should be working.A lot of other games do.Is there a patch or something, that I could get.The computer speakers are over-driven.It's like the game is to much for the computer.I've asked for help from the builders(UBISOFT) with no luck.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to load your own favorite music into Rocksmith to play?
Yes you can create custom downloadable content ('CDLC') by following this tutorial. Could be a lot of work thoughRocksmithCustoms - homeOr buy DLC from the rocksmith store if the artist you are interested in is available.Making custom content for your own use of songs that you have purchased probably (or might not) fall under fair use.
Is there any app to sync guitar tabs with real audio?
I think not...but if there is, it would be quite impressive. :)Electronically-generated music (like MIDI) contains the information about what tones/chords are pressed at a certain time, for each track used. And it's probably this information that is used by those apps. But when a song is played (like on radio), you don't have that information...instead you have a lot of simultaneous tones/chords/voices to distinguish from each other. And that way the human ear and brain is pretty impressive, cause we can choose what instrument/voice to listen for and find the melody.Maybe you can have a program analyzing a track by playing it over times - but I don't think it would work in real time... =)
From the technical side of things, how does adding DLC to a game work?
The question isn't clear. Technically DLC is essentially just a game update and it is added to the game like any software update mechanism.Otherwise, DLC serves a couple of other purposes.1.) DLC theoretically allows for quicker game release cycles by removing content from the main release, especially when the DLC is episodic in nature.2.) DLC increases profits considerably, especially with games like Bethesdas open world adventure RPGs where the DLC often doubles if not triples the value of the game. Games like Rocksmith 2014 have nearly 1000 units of DLC content and growing, each valued individually at $2.99 or offered in groups for a negligible discount. A $60 game earns potentially hundreds in profits per customer, and each week new DLC is released.3.) Some games allow players to create content and share it. DLC options may collect the best of this content and offer it in a special pack for free or for a price.4.) DLC has become such a common feature in gaming that it is expected and players may choose to buy a game based on existing or projected DLC content. The rush of opening new boxes still exists with installing new content.
