Running Injury - Bruised Like Pain In Left Foot

Ankle Pain after Running?

I have been running around a Track since Spring Break. Lol. And I have to say It seems like I lost some weight. So I can't run anymore because my Ankle is hurting. Right where the ankle bone is. The bone that's sticking out. Only my Left foot hurts ... why is this? Is this normal? I have been running like 5 or more Laps around a track for the last 2 Weeks.

Knee injury causing issues with ankle and foot?

My husband slipped on some ice last week and has a torn ligament (mcl). The knee has been swollen but each day the swelling seems to spread down his leg, ankle and now foot. Today he got up and the inside of his foot is bruised. He's been using a crutch but has been putting some pressure on his foot but we don't know if its the pressure he's putting on it or if he may have sprained his ankle and not know because the pain has been so severe with the knee. It's really weird. Why all of a sudden would his foot bruise and swell? Or could the knee injury be causing something else? He goes to the Doc tomorrow. Any info would be helpful... FYI he's been taking an inflammatory and keeping it elevated as much as possible with ice packs but nothing is working the swelling is worse. could the sudden swelling cause the foot to bruise?

Bruised veins on my foot?

hey man you need to alternate cold and warm compresses every 10-20 minutes. the cold will help quell tissue damage and the heat will help the blood flow to regenerate tissue. i dont think you can'bruise' a vein because of the cellular composition, so you must have deeper tissue damage. i know its lame, but you have to stay off it! good luck and god bless reed

Why does part of my left foot hurt after I run?

Okay, so yesterday I ran my hardest and went soft at the end. Could it be that? It's only my left foot, my right one is all fine. Also, when I ran for like 10 mins, it started hurting a little bit. It hurts when I touch the spot, like a bruise. Should I just jog or run my hardest? I want to be in Track and Field for my school next year and I Want to be in the Olympics someday for Athletics and Cycling. Thanks! :D

What are the reasons of severe pain in my foot heel both right and left leg?

Reasons for Severe Pain in FootFoot and ankle can become painful and sore due to too much walking, jumping, excessive running etc. as these bear entire bodyweight when a person moves. The ankle and foot have very complicated bone and joint formation. There are nearly 52 joints starting from ankle to toe which make us walk, run and jump. Pain in any one or few joints can restrict physical activity and cause discomfort. The pain in ankle and foot does not subside easily as injury gets aggravated again and again during the day. If pain or injury is allowed to stay it reduces size of stride and may bring a permanent change in walking style of a person. The pain in ankle or foot on aggravation radiates towards upper leg and affects performance of knee joint too. There are many causes other than running and walking which can cause foot and ankle pain. Women wearing footwear with high heels puts excessive pressure over toes and disturb joint alignment to cause pain. I hurt my ankle, not swollen or bruised like sprains, but I can't put any weight on it, too much pain. Broken?

I have sprains before, and torn ligaments which were always accompanied by swelling and brusing and pain.
I was playing with my daughter and I was running. I guess I twisted it, but I went "DOWN" with the pain! and thought I would throw up from it. I can't walk on it, or put any weight on it at all due to extreme pain. But it's weired because it's not all swollen or bruised. Could it be broken? I thought it had to swell to be broken...

Why do I feel calf muscle pain after jogging?

Could be several reasons. In the Army, we used to run upwards of 3 - 6 miles every other day, sometimes every day. Sometimes further. We'd run anywhere from a 9 minute mile to a 6 minute mile. Some of the better runners have told me that it can be caused by poor form. This is usually by using calf muscles more instead of the strong quads, hams, and glutes. If your heel is the first thing to strike the ground, this can cause tissue pains as well. The advice I've always been given is to put your weight slightly in front of your body and your forefoot should strike the ground first. Also, try strengthening your leg muscles by doing heavy squats and deadlifts. When I started running in basic training, I had pretty bad shin splints, calf pains, etc. to the point where at times it was painful to walk.  It took several months to completely go away, because my legs eventually adapted.Sometimes if we would go a couple weeks without running due to field training, my calves would be sore after running a couple miles the next day. If you're a new runner, expect for your calves to be sore for the first few months until you start using better form and get stronger legs.Lastly, it was pretty common for people to complain of leg pain when going on slower runs, or "jogging" (e.g., a 10 minute per mile pace or slower). Running slower can make you use poor form and not use a full stride, so it can exert pressure in different areas of your legs as compared to running a bit faster. Don't run behind your legs, run in front of them.

In a bike accident 4 days ago, now my left foot is super swollen. Could this be a sign of internal bleeding?

fractured or sprained -- see a doctor.
