Baphomet was a figure the Knights Templar were accused of worshiping, but it’s unlikely they ever did. Mohammed, during and following the crusades, was not a figure appreciated in Christian Europe of the time. It’s unfair to accuse the Templars of anything they might say while enduring unimaginable horrific acts performed on them.Later, Eliaphas Levi caught onto the idea of Baphomet.
