I starred the ones I have seen...Like this-* The Psycho Horror Films- 1. Silence of the Lambs 2. Psycho* (old one) 3. Halloween* (old one) 4. Se7en* (but I disagree, I would replace it with Saw 1) 5. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre* (Also the old one) 6. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer 7. Misery* (My most reccomended of the 7, but it is not really scary) The Undead- 1. 28 Days Later* (I didn't think it was very scary) 2. The Evil Dead* (Scariest movie I have seen, so far) 3. The Shining* (My most reccomended of the bunch, I've seen all of them this time...) 4. Dawn of the Dead* (They said the old one was scarier, but I found the newer version more entertaining..Just me though..) 5. The Ring* 6. Poltergeist* 7. A Nightmare on Elm Street* (Not scary, just lame...) The Supernaturals 1. The Exorcist (I have this movie, I'm just too scared to watch it!! Lol) 2. Rosemary's Baby 3. The Omen* (they are talking about the old one, but PLEASE, don't watch it!! It is really GAY!!) 4. Prince of Darkness 5. Suspiria* (This one was a shocker and almost every country banned 14 minutes of it's content because it was too horrifying) 6. Carrie* (My favorite movie of all time. And obviously it is my most reccomended of the bunch! They are also talking about the older one!) 7. The Blair Witch Project* (I really liked the idea of this one, it was WAY more suspenseful than The Texas Chainsaw Massacre because you feel like you are there...) The Demons 1.The Thing (John Carpenter made it, just telling you because there are a lot of things titled The Thing) 2. Alien* (TOTAL CRAP!! One of the worst out of the whole list....) 3. Jaws* (I completely did not buy the story, the effects, or the "scares". It is one of those movies that is scary to children under 9 years old) 4. The Birds* (This is THE WORST of the whole list of movies! God, it was STUPID!!!) 5. An American Werewolf in London 6. Invasion of the Body Snatchers* (The one I reccomend out of these seven, and it is an older one starring Donald Sutherland) 7. Hellraiser Hope I helped!!!

ROCK aholic actually I never said those films aren't scary I just said I didn't find it scary and I want to find something that is completely different from the rest of the crappy horror films and also I didn't watch the 1974 version of the Texas chainsaw massacre also people only found the exorcist scary at the time it came out and I want a film that is seen as scary in the present day not last century so you can piss off this website as your answer was no help just insulting and completely out of order as well as that you don't know crap about the word SCARY or what it means so like I said piss off this question as your views on this subject are not valid here! Which is the most scary horror movie have you watched till date?
It depends what kind of fear you're looking for- existential, gore, psychological, etc.My tops though are:ANTICHRIST- deeply violent, but more than that this film will malinger in your skull and make you repulsed by the idea of sharing a bed with a significant other. What cruelty we commit upon each other in the name of love.The Conjuring- Director James Wan is brilliantly skilled at creating an atmosphere where there doesn't need to be anything there to make you shit your pants. There's a lengthy scene where two girls are staring at a dark corner, one describing what she sees there, and it will forever haunt me.Human Centipede- whereas the second and third films are gore and weirdness for the sake of gore and weirdness, the first film does a magnificent job making you acutely aware of how fragile your sense of self is. When suddenly you are one more set of limbs eating the shit of the man in front of you, what the fuck does your identity even still mean?MARTYRS- I was very hesitant to add this to the list. Martyrs is a magnificent film that will sit with you for hours after it's over, but mostly it's just very grim and unpleasant. Right up until the last few minutes. The final frames before the credits are pure nightmares.I Saw The Devil- Wrapping up with a Korean revenge thriller that presents evil and insanity as basically an infection. When you will do anything to avenge a dead loved one, what stops you from becoming one more monster?

So iv been looking and watching that much horror movies that im starting to think that there arent Any truly scary movies in the world. Yeah i know most of the people suggest The excorcist but im not in to classics because those effects dont scare me and it looks like a muppets or something so whos answer gets most thumb ups wins :)
Scariest Horror Movie Serial Killer?
Steven Weber in the remake of the Shining He reminded me of my father, and my father scared me and so him being like my father, he scared me. He scared me because of him being so hateful and all of a sudden turning of the ones he loves, just freaked me out. The freakiest scene to me would be when he pretends to be nice to the son, and then when the son is in his arms he changes and is mean again. I can relate to him by that I too get so angry and trapped within my rage, it is hard to get out of.
