School Attendence Issue

I have a trunacy from my school for attendance. What should I do? READ DETAILS?

ummmmmm you do realize that none of those disorders should effect your ability to attend an ONLINE class right?....obviously this is your problem. YOU have the attendance issue, so its you who will be doing the time/Comm Serv.

also, you would have had to register as a disabled individual with learning disabilities in order for that to even qualify for a reason that you are constantly truant.... which again, shouldnt have an effect on that at all

I’m about to get kicked out of school for my bad attendance, what can I do?

First, if you didn’t attend because you were sick, and you’re in the US, you have certain (but limited) protections. However, I doubt that was the case, or you would have stated “I couldn’t attend…”.It sounds like your problem is solved; you didn’t attend (presumably because you didn’t want to attend on a regular basis), and now you won’t have to. The issue is that you probably do want to be in school (or so I suspect). The drive or will to attend has to come from you. You can’t say “it’s boring”, not because that’s necessarily untrue, but because it’s irrelevant. You are the only person who can make it interesting for you, but that’s also irrelevant if you get kicked out.You probably need to get a job now. If you don’t attend, you’ll be fired. If you can figure out how to attend all of the time (not most of the time, but all of the time) at your job, you’ll succeed, and you can build on that success and use it in a letter to your school asking for readmission. Until you figure out the attendance issue, though, school is a waste of time and money. Might as well let an employer teach you about attendance.

As a high school principal, how do I increase student attendance:?

I would suggest looking into something like the Renaissance program. Since it was instituted at our school, attendance has improved. Find more info at http://www.jostens.com/renaissance/index...

# Renaissance schools often focus their program on four target areas:

* Increasing student attendance
* Improving overall academic performance
* Increasing graduation rates
* Creating a positive, safe school environment

# In schools that use the Renaissance program as part of their curriculum, administrators have noted positive progress in areas such as:

* Grade point averages
* Standardized test scores
* Attendance
* Discipline

Good luck!

How much do colleges care about high school attendance?

I am curious about how much high school attendance is really looked at when applying to colleges. I had a very big issue with tardies the first two years of high school and was able to accumulate 63 tardies in just one school year. I had issues where my parent was the one that made me late because they never wanted to get up on time. Now the thing is that at least half of these tardies are within 5 minutes of the start of the school and I had teachers that would mark me late for being even one minute late. So my issue is that these tardies show up as just tardies and do not count the amount of time you were actually late. Since I have gotten a car, these tardies have pretty much diminished to maybe 5-10 a year. So I am wondering if colleges will really look at these tardies and if it will affect my application and chances of being admitted. I also would like to know if absences also matter, I normally am absent 5-7 days in a school year and they are all unexcused.

Is there any issue of attendance in MA in economics and M. Com in Delhi school of economics in DU?

No. There will never be an issue of attendance atleast for M.A. Economics at DU. But even then you will see full packed classrooms with students sitting on the stairs too. And the sooner you find out the reason for this, the better it would be for you.

I have around 60% attendance in class 12. Will my school DPS Kolkata (CBSE) create fuss on this issue?

Not much relax man ,mine was 55 perc . They just call Ur parents to give Ur admit card that's all.if u are among the top 3 rank holders then u even don't have to go to Ur school they will call u to come to school to receive it .Focus on 12 concepts not this non sense issue .

Is attendance in high school important for colleges?

You mean did you attend, or what was your daily attendance record?That you attended, and graduated from, high school is of primary importance, virtually always. If you do not have a high school diploma, there is essentially no possibility that you will be accepted into a college.Your daily attendance record in high school is not something they look at. However, your regular attendance probably has quite a strong bearing on your GPA, which is definitely something colleges consider.So if you think you can get away with playing hooky and skipping classes, yet still get into college, you are reducing your chances somewhat with every added day you miss.More importantly, skipping classes or days in high school reduces what you learn, and thus what you are prepared for in college. So even if you get accepted, you are likely to have a harder time in college, and will produce a lower college GPA or perhaps flunk out entirely.Perhaps an even greater problem is that skipping days or classes in high school, and getting away with it, makes it even easier for you to skip classes in college. There, attenandce is voluntary. No one keeps attendance records. Professors do note, and value, class participation so of course if you are absent you aren’t going to help your grades by that at all.The effect of skipping classes in college shows up only at final exam time. Then, having skipped even a few classes is very likely to lead to you failing the exam, and so failing the course. You may have to wait a year to make up the course, delaying graduation (if ever) by a full year. Do that a couple of times, and the school will not re-admit you, and you can head to your nearest Burger King to start your career.So the answer to your question is Yes, in several different ways. Start taking your high school work seriously, and be in every class, every day.
