What are the Navy regulations for getting a rental car on TDY if it's en route to PCS?
I am currently on a TDY that is en route to my new PDS. I am TDY for a 'C' school from now until October time frame. I am being put up in a Navy Hotel on a base more that 4 miles away from the base where I am attending a school. I am being payed per diem based on the daily housing cost of the Navy hotel and an amount for eating at the galley every day. There is a shuttle that goes between the two bases during normal weekday school hours. The problem is, it does not run at the times when we will start PT, it will not get me to duty section or my duty, and it only gets me to ONE chow time. The base where I am staying does have a galley but it is further away from my room than the other base is (yea its a big base). I have been told that because a rental car was not written into my orders that I have to "find a ride" even though I know the only reason why it was not written into my orders is because the detailer assumed I would be staying on the same base where I would be going to school (the fleet returnee barracks on that base could not fit me in). So does anyone know what regulation states the rules on rental car autherization or any reference point I can go off of?

Can I request a Form 137 from DepEd or from my school?
Yes you may. Form 137s usually cost about P100 and take about 1-3 days to process. But that's the case in my high school. It all depends on your school. Ask the administrators if you need to obtain an affidavit of loss or what in order to get a new Form 137. In the case of my university, Form 137 (a.k.a. transcript) is required to be sent personally by my high school, not me. It's an inter-school process, so maybe you won't need it, but then again, the answer to your question depends on your high school and the college you plan to enter.
