What did George Orwell mean in this quote?

Remember he also coined the term "News speak". That is what we are getting from the media!
The Chicken hawks in the government (both sides) are disgusting.
Chaney and Gram went to seminary school when their college deferments ran out. Studying to be a priest was one way to hide from serving your country in time of war! But they did not serve. I don't see them preaching in any church either?

Is a one night stand possible in India or only in movies?

The true incidents of one-night-stands in India have already been mentioned by others, however one thing has not been mentioned (and I expect to be heavily criticised for this one), is that Indian women have a special "craze" for White foreigner men... and it's not just in the cities, but rural areas too. One of my office colleagues is from a town in interior Tamil Nadu. He narrated an incident that happened in his town in 2004/05... a White American doctor (male) had joined one of the major hospitals in town. His work was in diagnosis and affordable treatment of rare diseases. In early 2006, he suddenly went missing & to this date nobody knows where he is or what happened to him. It is an open secret that he had slept with more than 20 women in the town, out of which at least 12 of them were married. The shocking thing is that most of these women were aware that he was sleeping with other women, but they did not care - they just craved for the experience with him... Later on, one of the husbands of these married woman found out & sought the services of a local goon or politician right-hand to get rid of him. Whether the goons had the doctor killed or he somehow escaped from them, still remains unanswered as he is yet to be found. In another incident, I read an article about an American IT professional  (White male, 28 yrs old) posted in Bangalore on a 2-year project who put up his profile on Tinder for the purpose of dating (but not casual sex). Within one week, he got 30+ matches, out of which nearly 20 were married women looking to have a fling with him. Of the remaining, only 5 women wanted a proper date with him. The messages he received from the married women were shockingly explicit and kinky... something that the average Indian guy will never get to hear from an Indian woman.

Is it worth studying MBBS in China?

I am from the US and Senegal. I am studying MBBS in Ningxia Medical University, China. My first year in China just ended, with lots of ups and downs. Here they go:The ups about stydying MBBS in China are the following: tuition is waaay much cheaper than in America and Canada for example, you can learn Mandarin( which is a must at this time of the world), you will get exposed to the world's largest civilization and society , you will grow mentally and psychologically strong due to the huge culture choc you will encounter. MBBS is a 6 year duration and is comparable to 8 years of study (4 in premed, 4 in med school) in America and Canada. You can also work as an English teacher and save a lot of money.Down sides are more numerous and more serious. For me I can say that I really do not like the school management, staff and way of teaching… You really have to be strong and dedicated if you decide to study MBBS in China because no one will inspire you or help you work hard. They will be no tutors and office hours with teacher are literally useless. You will have a lot of trouble understanding right away in class because the teachers simply do not speak English. That will mean a lot of self study. I am able to manage by signing up to free online courses like in Khan Academy, Lecturio, medscape, Coursera etc. The school does provide good textbooks and comprehensive lab equipment, that's also one good thing. To conclude I love China very much. I think everyone must come to china at least once in their life given the way China is so involved with all the other countries right now. Chinese culture and food is just incredible. The people are very nice, innocently curious, non malicious, at times ignorant but really good hearted. I do not recomment you to study MBBS here though if you are not ready to do the sacrifice. Personally I decided to stay here and beat the challenge. I want to be part of the change that is sure coming very soon.Go watch my YouTube video on my first year in china My First Year In China (Ningxia)
