Science Jobs With A Business Degree

Associate Degree in Science jobs?

You should search internships and jobs that are avaliable with an associates degree. Im getting an associates degree as well and I have researched and there are jobs avaliable with an associates degree. You arent going to make as much as someone with a bachelors but there are jobs that will take an associates while you can work towards your bachelors

What kind of jobs can I get with an Associate in Science, Business Administration degree?

There are a lot of entry-level jobs that you can do with an A.A degree. It all depends on the nature of the business and what kind of work they need done. This could include working with aircraft manufacturers.

Your best bet is to start researching the kinds of jobs you want and investigating the type of degree you will need for that job. That way, you can focus your education on exactly what you need.

While going to college is great, if you just go to class hoping to get some kind of degree at the end, you might end up somewhere you don't want to be. Get a degree based on what you want to do with your life.

I would also encourage you to continue with your education. We are getting to a point where most jobs will require you to have at least a bachelor's degree. And that's for an entry-level job.

There are many jobs where you must have a master's degree. As we move toward a more information-based economy, a master's will be normal and those with a bachelor's may be left out.

So keep in school! You're doing a great thing.

As far as a business, no one is going to stop you from starting your own business based on whether or not you have a college degree. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard to start Microsoft. You can start any kind of business you want.

That doesn't mean, however, that there are not requirements and regulations you must follow. A flight school, for example, will require you to meet the standards they set for flight instructors. Although I am not familiar with the requirements, you will probably have to earn your pilot's license and obtain additional training in order to be able to teach others to fly. There may also be requirements to run a flight school, but the most likely don't have anything to do with a college education. They are most likely tied to your ability to fly a plan and obtain the necessary certifications.

But your college education will come in handy. If you learn how to study now, it will be easier to learn new things as you take on new challenges. Being able to read, write, and pass tests will definitely help you when you take your own flight training and pass your certification tests.

I hope that helps a little. Good luck to you!

What kind of jobs can a Computer Science degree get you? And is the pay of these jobs good?

I'm in my final year of High School so I need to decide what I want to do at University next year. At the moment I'm still deciding between Computer Science, Accounting, a Law and Commerce conjoint, or Engineering. However, I'm not 100% sure on what kind of jobs I can get with a Computer Science degree. And also, are the pay of these jobs good?

Computer Science or business management degree?

You can make good money with a Computer Science degree (i have one), but you better love computer science. If you don't love computers and programming, you will get burned out with a computer science degree and you won't be qualified to do much else with that degree.

A business management degree is more broad and vague, it might be too vague to get a good job. You may be able to get into a management training program or work in banking or a small company, etc.

The two degrees are considerably different. Computer Science is almost like an engineering degree and involves alot of time and math and science.

Business isn't as much science and math based.

What Jobs Can I Get With a Cognitive Science Degree?

So I want to major in Cognitive Science, and I was thinking marketing teams, software architects/engineers, and pretty much any business that creates a product or service would benefit from knowing more about what grabs people's attention, what people find interesting, and things of that nature. Are my intuitions actual when it comes to job markets? Do teams like to have cognitive scientists on board? Could you also list some potential jobs that Cog Sci majors tend to get? Thanks.

Oh, and I'm talking just a BS in Cognitive Science, not MS or Ph.D.

Can you get a job with an Associates of Science degree?

Negative Nancy,

You have not said for which discipline you are receiving an Associate Degree. This can make a big difference.

If you have an AAS in Nursing you can take the NCLEX RN and work making approximately $55,000 a year, in this city. However, if you have as AS in Medical Assisting from the same community college, and make $13,000 if you can get one of the 90 positions which have come available for the 1200 graduates from the 20 different schools providing day and evening programs in both certificate and associate level programs in medical assisting in the city.

So it really depends, on what degree discipline you have, and what location you live.

Good luck.

Can a political science major get a job as a business analyst?

Yes, he can, but he has to be able to establish the value he brings to the job. Maybe this gives you special insight into how geo-political events and trends will affect business. You should wow them with what you know and the value you would add to the organization such that concerns like these don't even come up. You make a list of ten analyses that would have been made better if certain political situations had been taken into account. Then you talk to analysts and look at current political angles applicable to the analysis that your potential boss does.  If you can paint for him a fuller picture because of what you know, you should have a pretty good shot.I've just written a blog post on a related question. My point is getting just about any job is a function of establishing the value you'd bring to the organization. When you can credibly establish that you would bring out-sized value, you very much increase the odds of getting the job that is the best fit for you. Here's the process to get you started, How Difficult is it to Get a Job at "X" Corp? I hope it all works out for you.
