Could someone explain the scream 2 ending?
In Scream, the killers were Billy Loomis and Stu Macher. Billy and Stu killed Sidney's mother a year earlier. In Scream 3 it is explained that Billy's mom left his dad because his dad had an affair with Sidney's mom. Billy and Stu were working together and that is how the killer comes in and stabs Billy when he is upstairs with Sidney. The death is fake and they used corn syrup. Only Billy had a reason to be a killer, and Stu just said he did it because of peer pressure. Here is the explanation for Scream 3. It will make the explanation for the 1st movie clearer. In Scream 3, Scott Foley is the killer. He turns out to be Sidneys's half brother. They both have the same mother. The mother was living in Hollywood doing acting. She abandoned him and when he was grown, he met her again and she wanted nothing to do with him. She said she only had 1 child. So he wanted revenge on the mother and told Billy Loomis from Scream that his mother abandoned him because his dad had an affair with Sidney's mother. So that is why Billy went and murdered Sidney's mom. Cotton Weary was framed because I think he was seen leaving her home but was wrongfully accused and was just having an affair with the mother. So Roman was angry with Sidney because he thought that she got the life he always wanted with a mother. Scream 2: In Scream 2, the killer is Billy Loomis's mother and Mickey. She gets Mickey off of a serial killer website and becomes a copycat killer to get revenge on Sidney. She blames Sidney for Billy's death. At the end, she turns on Mickey and shoots and kills him. Mickey says he did the killings because he was intending to get caught, believing he will become famous for the deaths and his trial. He wanted to blame film violence as the influence. He is betrayed by Mrs. Loomis who wishes to disappear after the killings, contrary to Mickey's desires, and seemingly shot to death. After Mrs. Loomis' defeat, he leaps to his feet to attack Sidney but is finally killed by Gale and Sidney. Hope this helps!
