Searching For A Movie Look In The Short Detail If You Can Help Great

How do you find a movie title if you only remember details of the plot?

This is bound to be tricky in that there are far more plots than movies ;-)Others have suggested searching IMDB with cast or character names (if you can remember them) or plot keywords but I would suggest that other great resource - friends. If you can remember someone you knew around the time you saw that movie - even if you didn't see it with them - ask them. "Remember when we working on the Jones project and there was that film about the guy who turned out to be a CIA triple agent but we only found out after his ID was found in the alligators stomach? What was that called?" Human memeory search functions aren't as precise as databases but they can cope with very ropy data!

Which option do you prefer : reading books or viewing movies based on them?

Hi there, thanks for asking. Of course I have to say “it depends” but as one who has watched a lot of movies and a lot of directors commentaries and read few books I would say, according to my own personal opinion, 4 out of 5 times its better to read becauseThe quality of acting and story telling has been dropping to disheartening levels for decades now. This is even measurable, as demonstrated in a video by Paul Joseph Watson in YouTube some years ago.Books only have to get past a publisher and not an entire studio crew so there is much more room for spontaneity and original thinking. You can have morals in books that don't exist in movies b/c studios need mass appeal.Books make you think in ways that movies don't usually trigger.Reading gives a quicker wit to the mind then movies which produce a sort of numbed brain effect. Which is not inherently bad.You can read anywhereReading chases away bad people. I once was having lunch with 4 dudes and I started talking about one of my favorite books “the richest man in Babylon” and one said “GAAAAAY I'm going to the bar.” one guy followed him, and the other two asked questions. The topic quickly changed but it's not as though I was being a buzzkill. We were talking about money which is what the book talks about via several short touching stories.Movie actors such as will Smith and Morgan Freeman have said in interviews things like “writers, directors, and actors only become great if they read great books” and “actors that stand the tests of time are those that read enough stories to design a sort of universal appeal that speaks to all generations and experiences in the roles they play.”I could go on but I'll end with saying I really love movies, and if you want some great story telling check out Brick or Primer, for great acting Ben Hur or A Man For All Seasons, for great style try Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy or the god fatherHope this helps manCheers buddy

Short, concise answers are always appreciated.

What happens if i lost the blockbuster movies i rented?

in any case of an emergency like thast all you have to do is put your head between your knees... and kiss your butt good bye...LOL... sorry couldn't pass that up!

On a serious note, all you hav to do is pu the case(s) in a safe spot while you seriously clean your home and/or the room where the rental(s) have been siad to been lost in.

If all else fails, get a search dog and have him/her sniff the case(s) and they may find it. They have used dogs to find missing people in collasped building stuctures, so they should be able to find rental(s)

If all else fails, you HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MOVIE(S) AND LATE CHARGES.. i know its a little rough but unless you look short for your age or you have a friend who's like 3... your kinda stuck

Pippin and Merry Lord of the Rings Cosplay Help?

You don't say how much time you have. There are really good CosPlay wigs on eBay from China for the most part. Very cheap and I've ordered several....never had a problem. Just takes a while to get them as shipping is slow. Here are some places to look for info...when searching, look for short/curly, not 'hobbit' unless you're in a cosplay wigstore:

I need to find a very obscure animated short film. Any suggestions on where to look?

I am looking for a particular animated short film that terrified me as a child. I've been looking on and off for it for nearly 4 years. Maybe it doesn't exist. Maybe...nobody should ever find it.

The short film aired on a show on Nickelodeon called Pinwheel. In the middle/late 80's I believe. Pinwheel collected cartoons and stop-motion animation shorts from all over the world to add to their show. I'm almost certain it's a stop-motion animation...but all these years later it could be a cartoon. Nevertheless, the short was probably not made in America.

This short animation was terrifying as a child. The scene is still burned into my mind (28 years later). It begins with a young boy sleeping in his bed. Above his bed is a ticking clock. All the lights in the room are off and it is very dark. Suddenly the clock begins to slow down it's ticking and eventually it stops on midnight. When the clock stops a greenish/bluish man climbs out of the clock. The boy wakes up just in time to see this man dressed in black grab him out of bed and kidnap him by carrying him through a window. The "Clock Man" takes the boy on some kind of terrifying adventure and brings him back to his bed before sunrise.

Clock Man was a childhood memeory I have kept to myself for many years. I'd bring it up time to time with friends of mine, but nobody seemed to remember him. I was nostaligic the other day, and thought if anyone out there could help. I want to find him to be vindicated. I want to find him to prove that he was real. I want to find him to prove that I am not making things up. I want to find him to finally erase his menacing fear from my mind - forever.

I have tried Youtube, Vimeo, Google Search, Yahoo, Bing, Wiki, RetroJunk, TV Junk and many other places. All empty handed.
