Second Time I Am Posted This Question About Fire

Fire Belly toad being very sluggish, not eating, skinny, second time I'm asking-HELP PLEASE!?

Is the 79 F the temp of the water or the air? Firebellys should have a tank set up similar to an aquatic turtle; 25% dry land and 75% water (only needs to be about 2 - 3 inches deep, they aren't good swimmers after all.) The water should be heated and maintained in the mid to upper 70's F. They should also have a basking temp over the dry land area that's in the mid to upper 80's F available for 10 - 12 hours a day.

Do you dechlorinate the water? Amphibians tend to be sensitive to the chemicals that cities put in the water to make the water safe for people, like chlorine/chloramine. Some amphibians will be more sensitive than others.

Do you use a calcium supplement twice a week? Captive reptiles are prone to calcium deficiency so, by using a supplement, on top of having good enclosure temps, you can help prevent this.

What are your staple insects? If you are using meal worms or wax worms as staple insects I highly recommend that you switch to something else. Meal worms have a chitinous outer shell that is hard on the digestive system and they are naturally high in phosphorous, a calcium binder than inhibits a reptiles ability to absorb calcium properly. Wax worms are considered "reptile candy" as they are high in fat and not much else nutritionally. Better staple insects are: feeder crickets, silk worms, chopped up red wrigglers, and phoenix worms. Reptiles shouldn't eat anything that is larger than the space between their eyes, when looking at the top of the head. Eating things that are too large for them can lead to health issues, like paralysis, impaction of the gut, and even death.

If your husbandry is up to par, or you fix any husbandry issues, you can try to perk Spud up by giving him a tepid/luke warm bath in a water and plain Pedialyte (no added color or flavor) solution. Amphibians have very permeable skin and the Pedialyte contains electrolytes that can help give him some energy and to hydrate his body. You can also get an emergency food supplement, like Flukers Repta-Aid (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.js... and feed it to him to help kick start his appetite and get some much needed nutrients into him.

How many rounds does a semi-automatic rifle fire per minute?

Your question is not as straightforward as it might sound at first.Modern semiautos fire a round every time the trigger is pulled. So how fast can you pull the trigger?Top Three-Gun competitors can indeed pull the trigger three times a second — for short periods of time. So the theoretical “cycling rate” might be 180 rounds per minute, but the reality is you’re only maintaining it for bursts of a second or two. That sort of firing generates tremendous amounts of heat as well. In battle, when military rifles are fired full-auto, they can get hot enough that the barrels will warp (which is why full-time machine guns have easily replaceable barrels). Moreover, most modern semiautos use 30-round magazines, which means the mag would have to be changed six times to reach the magic 180 number. An expert can change a mag on some rifles in about two to three seconds (depending on the gun and how he/she has staged the mags), but that’s still 12–18 seconds of lost shooting time per minute. So a maximum theoretical rate of about 138 rounds per minute. For an average shooter, you’re talking about a top speed of about two shots per second, which means you’re emptying a mag in 15 seconds. Reloading takes maybe four seconds, so it’s 19 seconds to empty a mag and recharge. So the effective rate is about 90 rounds per minute, not counting the time it takes to aim.So is it really possible to fire 180 rounds per minute from a semiauto? Perhaps using a belt-fed gun with an endless supply of ammo, operated by a top competitor. But I doubt it.Certainly not in any real world context.

A machine gun fires 12 bullets/sec to a target, each of mass is .02kg & speed of 1400 m/s. find the necessary force to hold gun in position?

F = ma is the #1 equation you will ever use for mechanical physics. Love it and USE it.

Here you are given velocity, mass, and time. No acceleration right? Not quite! One of the nice things about physics is everything is given a unit so that you can manipulate the numbers you are given in order to solve problems.

Acceleration is velocity/time. You have two options here.
1) Use the mass of 1 bullet meaning you have to divide by 1/12 and use 0.2kg mass.

2) Use the mass of 12 bullets and 1 second. I prefer this method because dividing by 1 is very simple.

F = 0.2(12 bullets) x 1400m/s / 1s
F = 336N <- this is the force the bullets exert on the gun in 1 second (also known as recoil). Your force to hold the gun in place must be greater than or equal to this value or the gun will no longer be static.

What is exactly the consequence for pulling the fire alarm at a school?

at University, some students used to smash fire safety signs, and a letter came around telling us any offender would be out of University.

Guess what, after getting the grades to get in, and effectively getting one-shot at a government grant, the offender was caught re-offending and was kicked out. (the offender was from a deprived area and had no private funds, unemployment was very high at the time).

I accidentally inhaled air duster while it was on fire. Am i ok?

I was being stupid and bored and i sprayed a little air duster in the candle and then i lit it on fire. It the exploded with fire in my face and i immediately tried to blow it out and when i went to blow a second time and inhaled the fire or something. My throat burns a little and my breathing is a little constricted. Like if you smoke a lot. Im also in a little bit of a panic so that might have something to do with it.

A man standing between two parallel cliffs fires a gun. He hears two echoes. One after 2 seconds and the other after 4 seconds. What is the distance between the cliffs if the velocity of sound is 330m/s?

Break up the 2 echoes into 2 parts.Part 1: using the formula 2d=vt, where v= the speed of sound, 330m/s, t= time taken and d = distance, plug in the given values into the formula and you get d= 330m. Part 1 is done!Part 2 : do the same for this, see the above. ( you'll get d= 660m)So, 330m is the distance from the shooter and the cliff, which reflected the sound wave to produce the 2s echo, while 660m is the distance from the shooter and the other cliff, which reflected the sound wave to produce the 4s echo. The distance between the cliffs is the sum of the distances which you found.

Nanny late in mornings...fire her or not?

I don't see the issue of her being in her pajamas, provided it's not a teddy from Victoria's Secret. I'm a SAHM and I'm currently in sweats and a robe and socks. When I meet my husband and his colleagues for lunch, I'll get dressed, of course. However I'm at home and likely won't see anybody so it's not a big deal. (My five-year-old and two-year-old are at my in-laws'. If they were home, I'd have a sweatshirt on.) I try to get up earlier than my daughter on school mornings, but it's not always easy. (Especially when my son wakes up close to when our daughter should be up and he nurses then.)

Who takes the kids to school? As long as she's dressed when the kids are ready to go to take the kids. (When I do go out, I'm in nice jeans or khakis, and usually a button down or golf shirt and a blazer and loafers. Nothing fancy, but I'm more or less put together.)

As for being late, give her a warning. At my daughter's pre-school, the parents are fined $5 for a late pick up. If her lateness becomes frequent then fire her. After all, you would be frequently late for your job then you would get fired.
