Seems Like Usb Port Of My Laptop Is Deformed Can

Seems like usb port of my laptop is deformed, can't insert any flash drive in there.?

The port may have to be changed out, if you have serial or other port not used you could buy a adapter to usb. If you are good at soldering you could fix it your self...

I dropped my laptop. Is it harmed?

I got myself a Dell Inspiron laptop which i had for almost 7 months now. I really love it because I bought it with my first paycheck which really means something to me however my whole family uses it and they treat it quite roughly, not like me treating it with care. Like when it hangs, they will just shut down the whole thing and restart it. Then, it got quite a lot of food on it. Of course, they clean it because my younger siblings always eat while they are using the laptop. And my dad, he always types very hard on the keyboard. Its like you could hear him type from 10 feet away. Then, just recently, my sister was carrying my laptop around and she dropped it like 5 feet from the air to the hard marble tiles. Though there is some scratches but its still running normally. But, I want to know is the internal parts harm?. Like the LCD screen or the keyboard and the inside stuff. Dropping and treating it like that, will it hard the laptop? and additional, please give me some advice on how to take care a laptop so that its last long.

Thank You.

Does the AT2020 USB Condenser microphone need phantom power?

No, it absolutely does not need phantom power.

Condenser microphones *with XLR plugs* need phantom power. And phantom power is provided via the XLR connector.

Your mic does not have an XLR plug. You could not provide it with phantom power even if you wanted to.

Your mic does have a USB connector. Your mic does need power, but it will get power from the USB port just like many other USB devices.

Edit - added:

Percival> Your sound card, however, will still need to be mic-input capable.

Sorry, but no. The USB mic sends the sound in bits over the USB cable; it does not need a connection to the sound card, and the sound card isn't involved at all. A USB mic its own "sound card" - it has its own ADC and will work fine with no sound card in the computer at all.

Why is there a crackling/distorted sound coming from my laptop through my headphones?

Almost certainly, it’s a bad headphone jack. But try another set of headphones to eliminate the also likely possibility that you have a broken wire in the headphones. If it happens in both sets of headphones, it’s time to have the jack fixed.Or go wireless. Or USB.

What kind of cable do I need in order to connect two monitors to my Asus X556U notebook?

VGA is an analog standard, which means that quality cables will always be thick and bulky. If you use a slim one you will get a distorted/low quality picture. You should either get an HDMI splitter and connect both displays to the HDMI port, or get a USB-C to HDMI/DisplayPort adapter and connect the second monitor via the USB port. An HDMI splitter can handle two 1080p displays, but if you’re using a higher resolution than that you should get the USB adapter.

Why does the music get distorted when I plug the headphone adaptor into the mixer all the way?

I recommend using a MIDI controller with a built-in soundcard (such as a Vestax Typhoon), a USB mixer (such as a Numark M101USB) or at the very least, a standalone USB soundcard (such as a Numark DJ iO). The soundcard in your laptop will work fine, but it's not professional quality. Also, you're going to want some type of device that allows you to cue up the next song using headphones.

When I connect my iPhone 6 with my window 10 laptop through data cable sometime I can transfer images to lap top but sometime no image is showing on laptop, what is the problem?

I think you’re saying that when you plug in the cable sometimes your phone shows up (in iTunes or as an external drive) on your Windows 10 computer, and sometimes it does not.All the others are useful answers… including the one about what to do on a Mac (if you were asking about such). ☺️The one thing I would point out in addition to those is that, when I plug in my phone, it pops up a dialog on my phone that forces me to choose if I want to allow my computer access to my phone. If I don't answer in the affirmative the phone doesn't show up on my computer until the next time I plug it in. To me it always feels like the affirmative option is on the wrong side of that dialog. I don't plug my phone in much, and normally I have to do it twice because I didn't pay enough attention the first time.If it's not something as simple as that then it's one of the following:Make sure your copy of iTunes is up to date: This likely is not the cause of your problem but it might contribute to it.The cable: Make sure your cable is both "healthy" and MFi certified. If it isn't, that might be the problem. Easiest way to make sure it is? Buy a brand new official cable directly from Apple. At worst you'll have a spare cable.Your phone’s Lightning port: Sometimes they come loose. The behavior you'll see is that the phone will suddenly stop charging or drop its connection to the computer for no reason… and that gently jiggling the cable where it plugs into your phone makes it connect or start charging again. If this is the problem you'll need to have the phone serviced to fix the port.Your computer's USB port is failing or your USB driver is corrupted/out of date: The easiest fix for this is to use a different USB port on your computer, preferably one that you have not plugged your phone into before. It will cause the driver to be installed again (USB driver installations are unique to each port) and will help you figure out if the previous port you were using is the problem.Good luck!

Why do my headphones sound distorted?

Hello, here is a guide for you: Why Headphones Make Crackling Noises And How to Fix It? It has listed some reasons why headsets make crackling noises as:#1- Loose wireThe wires allow the electronic signals to be sent to and from the speakers. The rubber coating surrounding the headphone wires are mostly thin which can easily be bent and disconnect the signals which may cause crackling sound in the headphones. It can be the primary reason why your headphone is producing crackling noise, or it may be an indication that its high time you start searching for a new pair of headphones.#2- Defective headphone jackThe apparent cause of crackling headphones can be due to the defective headphone jack. The easiest and full proof way to check your headphone jack is working properly or not is by plugging it into several ports and that too in different devices. When plugging in, make sure that the headphone jack is plugged adequately in the port. Any loosing or partial plugin will cause crackling sound because of poor electrical signal transfer. This method will easily tell you whether your headphone jack needs to be fixed or your device port.#3- Poor equalizationThe headphone crackling can be caused due to the poor quality of audio or because of poor EQ setting of the media player. If the settings are not set properly like bass or treble settings are too high or the volume max out beyond the certain recommended limit, it can cause crackling and bursting sound which can actually harm both the ears and the headphone speakers. Therefore, it is highly recommended not to listen at higher volume, and it is the major reason for sound crackling because the headphone speakers are not designed to produce a sound more than the set volume.#4- Broken speakersIf the problem is not caused by all three above, then the chances are that the headphone speakers are broken. The reason for the loss can be because of listening to the music on high volume, poor handling, long term wear and tear or due to damaging of wires. If the warranty is still there, then you can expect replacement or repair under stated terms and condition, if not, then it’s high time you should buy some new headphones. These are some of the root causes why headphones make crackling noise which can either force you to buy a new set or spend some bugs on its repair. But wait! Before jumping to spending the money, let’s know some possible fixes which can genuinely save money.……Hope this helps!

When watching Netflix on a laptop, is it better to play the sound through the laptop’s speakers or through headphones?

Read and agreed with the other answers. It depends on the quality of your laptop speakers as they vary in quality of components, including speakers and drivers. However, word of caution, as much as I love watching movies or playing games using headphones, I'm always cognisant that they can easily exceed the recommended decibel levels and damage your hearing. With that in mind, that's my two cents. Enjoy and be safe buddy.
