Your friends have invited you to go out with them and participate in an activity you are not sure about. The Bible doesn't give positive or negative commands concerning this activity. How do you decide whether or not this activity is okay for a Christian to be involved in? Identify the principles from Romans 14 and 15 (discussed above) you would use to decide, and explain why you would use those principles.
I want to become president of the United States one day. What should I do to prepare? I'm 25 years old.
Tricky.First off and it bears repeating. President of the United States is a hard job. Hard as it gets. So hard that 4 years of it will turn your black hair white.Secondly, don't do it for the money. It does not pay well.Third, you have to accept that half the people in America are going to loudly hate your guts.From a practical point of view get a good education. Graduate level, possibly in Law since a lot of what the president does deals with the law. Minor in political science and history. Read a lot. Daily newspaper.Take Debate, study rhetoric. Most of what you do is argue what people should or shouldn't do.Keep excellent records, especially of your finances.Avoid associating with stupid people. Be careful who you fool around with. Someday everyone you ever did anything foolish or reckless with will wind up being interviewed. When that happens, admit everything. Nothing good comes from hiding your mistakes, especially if those mistakes have voices of their own.Consider what you believe in. Research a topic thoroughly before taking a position. When you so, stick to it unless you are proven wrong. Never lie. Never say you never said that. Be willing to compromise.If your reason to become president is to help as many people as possible, be sure that's the way to do it. Many jobs have more direct impact on the populace then president.Remember people. Keep a record of who you talk to everyday. An investigator may one day ask you who you had lunch with on April 14th, 30 years ago, a Thursday, and it might be important you know.Exercise and stay fit. For endurance, not strength. Cardio, running. Marathons if not triathlons. Some of your work days might be 72 hours long and involve life and death decisions and passing out from exhaustion in the middle of it would look bad in the history books.A term in the military is a good idea. Not too long. While career military officers have served as president they usually did so after a long and dangerous career and then did poorly in office because the skills of command they learn in the military do not translate to the skill of compromise a president needs.Embrace humility and arrogance. Humility will make people like you. And you have to have a lot of arrogance to think you deserve to be the most powerful person in the world.Marry well. Have a person in your life you can be with and not be the president.

Illegal Immegration and Crime....... is there a connection?
Instead of answering all those numbered questions, I'll answer your subject question: Is there a connection between Illegal Immigration and Crime? Yes, there is: Republican controlled corporations such as Haliburton, Tyson Foods, WalMart, K-Mart and others knowingly sought out illegal immigrants for a cheap labor source. And don't say those corporations didn't know, or were duped, or were hornswaggled by fictitious documents. Ya know how we can KNOW that? Because those corporations DID NOT PAY PAYROLL TAXES ON THOSE EMPLOYEES. Now why would a corporation, who supposedly thought their employees were LEGAL, happen to not pay payroll taxes on exactly those same illegals? They paid the payroll taxes on their LEGAL employees - but not on the illegal ones, and you expect us all to think it was just a frigging COINCIDENCE??? If Republicans wanted to do something about illegal immigration, they had 12 years of a CONGRESSIONAL MAJORITY to do something about it! SO WHY DIDN'T THEY? Again - for the cheap labor. So what's the connection between illegal immigrants & crime? THEIR CRIMINAL REPUBLICAN EMPLOYERS. That is the connection.
