Setting A Date Over Email For Interview Not Getting A Reply

I never got a confirmation email from HR confirming my interview for this week. What are some suggestions?

Definitely contact them. It could be lost in your spam, they could have forgotten to send it/got email wrong / countless other innocent mistakes.I would call as you get an instant response and you can be reassured from speaking to them that you haven’t caused any offense or anything.Just explain that it hasn’t arrived yet, or you haven’t received it. I would advise against untactfuly saying “you haven’t sent it yet”, but “I haven’t received it, so I would like to confirm if the details are still x y z”.Companies worth working for will prefer this than you turning up when they were not expecting you, or you not turning up at all.Don’t be scared of potential employers. They are people and if they are worthy of your time they will appreciate that you are a person and that the people that work for them are people. People are not perfect, and people are not telepathic. A little communication nearly always makes things work smoother. All the best for your interview and your future :-)

Should I email my recruiter when she missed the interview with me?

Yes. Say something like:"Hi (name),I hope all is okay. We were scheduled to talk at (date and time), and I hadn't received a phone call. When is a good time for you to chat? I'm still interested in the role and (company name).Kind regards,(your name)"The recruiter will most likely feel bad that they forgot or something else came up. Only an awful recruiter would just not call you.

INTERVIEW HELP! how to reply to set up an interview?

Just say something like, "Thank you for taking the time to respond to my application. I would be happy to attend an interview on ...(pick a date & time from the choices given) and I look forward to meeting you then. Yours sincerely .......

You don't have to go into too much detail, a courteous, to the point reply is all they need right now. They are interested enough to have invited you for an interview so you can wow them then!
Good luck!

How should I reply to an e-mail offer for a college interview?

I am also an alumna interviewer of students who wish to attend my alma mater. When I email these prospective students to set up interviews, I expect them to reply in a professional manner.

In my initial email, I provide times and dates that I will be available. Your interviewer should have done the same. But since it appears he did not, you should definitely make suggestions for dates and times that you are available.

Here's a good sample reply email:

Dear Mr. Zzzzzzzz,

Thank you for your email. I would indeed be interested in an interview with an alumnus of Nnnnnn University. Since I am currently in school, my availability is limited to some evenings and weekends.

May I suggest a Wednesday evening in the month of February at 7:00 p.m.? Please let me know if this would be convenient for you. Also, I would be grateful if you would provide directions to your office, where you indicated we would be meeting. Suggestions for nearby parking would also be appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,
Prospective Student

Oh, and just a note on proper usage, in case you use this word in your communication:
alumnus = masculine singular. Your interviewer is an alumnus.
alumna = feminine singular. Someday you will be an alumna.
alumni = masculine plural, also used to describe a group of both men and women. The university has an Alumni Association.
alumnae = feminine plural, includes only women. Wellesley College has an Alumnae Association.

Good luck to you!

Got an e-mail from Nordstrom Rack about a job interview over phone?

Okay so I applied for Nordstrom Rack online and a couple of days later they emailed me saying that they would call me to have an interview within two hours of the time I set. However I didn't set a time, and I have no idea when they might call. I've searched my entire application and didn't see any set time for a phone interview. I'm worried that either they will call me at a random time and I won't be prepared, or that they won't call because I haven't set a time. So please, if anyone knows how to set a time for a Nordstrom phone interview, it would be such a great help. Thank you!

How long should I wait after a Google phone interview?

Both my friend and I recently had a phone interview with Google. My phone interview was on Thursday 3pm and they gave me feedback by Tuesday afternoon. My friend had his on Tuesday 3pm and they got back to him on Monday afternoon. From both my personal and my friends’ experiences of interviewing with Google and Amazon (both have similar interview process), I can say that they'd typically get back within 3 to 5 business days. Unless there arises a situation like sickness, emergency delays etc.If you don't hear from them within that time, you can politely follow up exactly after one week or after 5 -6 business days of your phone interview date.

How should I reply to this recruitment email?

Say "the opportunity you describe sounds exciting to me and I would love to hear more. Can we set up a time to talk?"On the call be ready to tell her what you find exciting about it and why you would be an asset to the job.Good luck!
