Sharp Pains In My Head

What is this sudden sharp pain in my head?

See your health care provider as soon as possible. In such cases a doctor will test your memory, concentration, and coordination, any of which may be impaired if the brain is damaged. Questionable findings may warrant a closer look with a CT scan or an MRI. Both exams can reveal signs of bleeding in the brain, which may require surgical drainage. (Resist taking anything but acetaminophen to squelch pain; aspirin, ibuprofen, and other anti-inflammatory drugs can increase bleeding and mask certain worsening symptoms). This may not be your case. See a doctor now.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

Horrible, sharp pain in head?

don't worry it sounds like a migraine i usually get them twice a year and they are much much worse than normal headaches, doctors don't know what causes them but most people have had the at one point in their lives. Light and sound are great factors of making migraines worse just go to sleep in a dark quiet room with some frozen peas or ice over your head, they usually last between 2 to 48 hours.
It also sounds like its your first migraine when my first one happened it was severe pain i felt like my head was gonna explode, and felt dizzy and weak. Sometimes people get blind spots in their eyes off them.

Just go to sleep and take some migraine tablets, doctors will say the same thing ive just told you, migraines are not serious.

When I turn my head left, there is a sharp pain?

Only happens when I turn it left, not right. The pain is on the back of my neck, where it meets my skull. If I straighten my neck the pain slowly goes away. Once again it doesn't happen when I turn my head right.

See your health care provider as soon as possible (primary care doctor). High blood pressure (hypertension). Severe high blood pressure that has been present a long time can cause headaches. The pain is throbbing, occurs in spasms, and is felt at the back or top of the head.
Rarely, headaches are caused by a serious disorder. Such disorders include a head injury, stroke, bulge in the wall of an artery supplying the brain (cerebral aneurysm), brain infection (brain abscess, meningitis, and encephalitis), and blood vessel (arteriovenous) malformation near the brain.
All of the usual over-the-counter drugs (acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen) are quite effective in relieving headache. Also see your pharmacist for pain relievers.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

What causes a sharp pain in the right side of my head?

Headaches can cause a dull throbbing or an intense ache and pain in different areas, including the right side of your scalp, base of your skull, and your neck, teeth, or eyes. While headaches can be uncomfortable, they are unlikely to be “brain pain.” The brain and skull don’t have nerve endings, so they won’t cause pain directly. Instead, a wide range of factors can affect headaches, from lack of sleep to caffeine withdrawal.Causes of headaches on the right sideHeadaches are most commonly caused from factors like:stressfatigueskipping mealsmuscle problems in your neckmedication side effects, such as long-term use of over-the-counter (OTC) pain medicineInfections and allergiesSinus infections and allergies can also cause headaches. Headaches resulting from sinus infections are the result of inflammation, which leads to pressure and pain behind your cheekbones and forehead.Excessive use of medication to treat headaches can actually cause headaches. This is the most common secondary headache disorder, and it affects up to 5 percent of the population. Medication overuse headaches tend to be worst upon awakening.Occipital neuralgia: There are two occipital nerves in the spine of your upper neck that run through the muscles to your scalp. Irritation of one of these nerves can cause shooting, electric, or tingling pain. Often the pain will be on only one side of your headTemporal arteritis: This is a condition in which you have inflamed or damaged arteries that supply blood to your head and brain. This pressure can cause other symptoms such as vision impairment, shoulder or hip pain, jaw pain, and weight loss.Trigeminal neuralgia: This is a chronic condition that affects the nerve that carries sensation from your face to your brain. The slightest stimulation on your face may trigger a jolt of pain.Other causesMore serious causes of headaches that can occur on only one side include:traumaaneurysmtumors, which can be both benign or malignant (cancerous)Only a doctor can diagnose the cause of your headaches.
