Sharp Stabbing Pain In My Thigh

Sharp, stabbing pain in thigh?

On the right side of my right thigh I occasionally get this stabbing pain that makes me want to swear like a sailor. It's an off and on again thing and only flares up after I haven't moved for a little while. Why does this happen? Do I need to go to a doctor?

Sharp pain in skin of thigh?

Take a metal magnet (maybe from a car's speaker) and caress the area in pain, with it. If it is a ferrite splinter there, will be magnetized and removed. Do that many times, applying a relative pressure of your choice. A close to you person, can use a magnifying lens (10x), one of those jewelers have, and search the area. A little splinter or hole on skin will be shown. If it is a rose thorn, your organism will slowly throw it out. If this person of yours detects something, a sterilized needle (burned in flame too) can be used to remove the object. This is valid if you are used to primitive conditions. Or what I would do. If you feel uncomfortable with that, visit a hospital. Use Betadine (solution of iodine 10%) to clean/disinfect the area. (I just saw what #2 suggests. This is not a solution.. Come on, guys.. Be a bit natural, for God's sake. I do not approve of it.)

Random Stabbing Pains All Over My Body?

Stress can cause our bodies to completely go out of whack for no reason other than just the stress. I used to stress myself out to the point that I was actually getting a fever and I would get these black circles under my eyes. It kind of sounds like Fibromyalgia, not completely sure about it. Mine when it was full blown was so bad that I couldn't stand a sheet to touch my leg. If its not to the point that you want to throw your head through a wall to knock yourself out from the pain, then I would just make a doctor's appointment and get checked out. Stress can give you diarrhea, constipation, headaches, nausea, pain, there are so many things that it can do. It can throw your whole system out of whack, so try to get calmed down somehow if possible. I know that is easier said than done sometimes.

Stabbing inner thigh pain at 37 weeks pregnant why?

Ok so im 37 weeks pregnant with baby #2 I have never experienced pains like this before. I am having really sharp shooting pains in the upper inner thigh area of my legs, they come and go and feel slightly better when I'm sitting but still keep coming, they are strong enough to make me double over and they are happening constantly. Is this a sign labor is coming or is it just the baby sitting on a nerve? Im concerned because i feel like the circulation to my legs is being cut off. Anyone know what this could be?

Why am I getting pain in my leg that was stabbed over a year and a half ago all of a sudden?

Might be the same thing that happened to a friend of mine. He was in a really bad motorcycle accident and very nearly had to have his left arm amputated. They managed to save the arm, but the nerves going to it were permanently damaged. After a couple months, he began to feel pain in his arm. A neurologist explained it like this: your brain “expects” to get incoming information from your entire body - legs, arms, feet, whatever. If the brain stops getting information, it will substitute pain. He didn’t want to take meds so they gave him an electronic stimulator. It creates a low level signal that he didn’t feel but was strong enough to fool his brain into thinking his arm was still functioning. Eventually it went away.Maybe this is what happened to you? The year and a half is way longer than what happened to my friend, but perhaps when you were stabbed, a nerve was damaged and only recently stopped working?

What might cause a burning pain in the inner thigh area?

It could be a number of things, but you should see a doctor for it in order to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. Here is a link to orthopedists describing one possible cause -- http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic....Thanks for A2A

I had a sharp shooting pain when I put my right leg on the floor and now I cant walk, what could this be?

Thank you for the A2A.What could this be?I think this could be time you go see your doctor.Your doctor will need to look at your personal and medical history, take a detailed history of what led up too this event and note all the features associated with the event.  Then he will examine you and do a couple of basic investigations before he develops a working diagnosis on what the problem is.We could speculate all day but in the end you would still have to go see your doctor to get any answers and any relief.Generally speaking, sharp pains are associated with nerve impingements.  These can happen at multiple places along the path of the nerve, including the lower back from where the leg nerves emerge.Signs and symptoms associated with nerves can be very urgent or more chronic (long-standing).Any new, sudden, incapacitating and unexplained sensations or loss of function must be investigated by a licensed physician as soon as possible.Nothing is gained by wasting time.Good luck!

I have paraplegia with nerve pain, a burning, stabbing pain in my legs, not constant. Why do I experience a constant burning in my legs when I take B complex vitamins?

This might have nothing to do with your paraplegia. I've experienced it too. It might just be niacin flush.  See What is a Niacin Flush?

Shooting pain in my groin\inner thigh area? 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant.?

Today i started experincing this charlie horse like pain right by my vagina, where the crease is to my legs. Mostly when i walk but sometimes when i'm sitting. It is happening alot all of the sudden! 4 days ago my doctor told me i was 3cm's dilated and that her head was very low. I've been having mile cramps that only last a few seconds. I'm guessing braxton hicks? This past weekend she has also been pretty calm, not as active. I've also been getting hot flashes and nausea on and off the past 2 days and this snot like discharge. Clear yellowish nastiness lol And even though it is all uncomfortable the main thing is the pain in my groin! It makes me have to stop from what i am doing.
